sketchdump time again
Windy animation doodle of my OC Laith. (edit: upped the fps)
I used different brushes and color scheme so it looked too jarring when I tried to put it in the set
Digital painting style experiments. I used the same brush, color scheme and base sketch. Each was painted a different day.
The first I was very intentional and aiming for a distinct simple bold look. The middle I blurred my eyes and aimed toward realism when I laid the colors down, then I cleaned it up with my focus on bringing out emotion. The last one I turned off my brain and overworked it to see where it would end up.
yep
oh! theres also a bonus one. It was too out of place to include in the set
holy sh shit i just scrolled through a lot of your art and recognized your old url... you were a huuge inspo back in the day (like 10 years ago at this point?). your art still slaps enormously, glad to have found you again. i was wondering if you would share what program/brushes you're using for your digital sketches? the texture looks really nice
Thanks for the kind words!

Uhhhhhh idk how portrait video format is gonna look on here but heres this!
And if you didnt see I uploaded the art on its own (plus some extras not printed here but they add to the story
The album art by itself
I recently did a project for local band Weird Year (for their latest album Nick Hates The Beach). It ended up something like a tour journal following a band on a strange roadtrip along the California coast, dodging the surreal and the fantastic all the way to a gig.
This was such a fun project for me. I love doing art for music and making up a little narrative of an indie band roadtrip was just... so damn fun.
If you care to listen to the album its on Sp0tif¥ and AppIe Music. Or have a look at their music videos on youtube. ✌️
Im curious… what are the things that make my art look like my style?
Theres style choices that I make intentionally but theres also a lot that I dont have control of/dont really acknowledge. Id like to hear how my art style reads from anothers perspective.
