My husband was the one that suggested we watch both parts tonight and my download of Hannibal 3x05 failed and starting a new one would take hours (oh those halcyon days of Megaupload, how I miss them!) so I was like yeah okay sure. I’m running my first 5k tomorrow morning so it was a good choice guaranteed to give me zero pesky feels that might keep me up too late.

Finally caught up on DW. I will say this: Peter Capaldi is 8 billion times less annoying than Matt Smith so even when I was kinda bored (which I was quite a lot) at least I wasn’t wanting to throw shoes at the TV. 

Missy still bugs the shit out of me, but slightly less so than last series. 

The Doctor’s outfit is definitely a big win in the annals of Excellent Doctor Costumes. 

Mostly though I just don’t caaaaare.

Hi! I read your entry about Hannibal without extras in the UK. Can I ask you how you watch stuff from the States? I mean, I wanted to get the blu rays but my blu ray player is set to play only region B/2 discs. I don't know what to do :S

you can get region free players, and you might be able to crack some players, i.e. type a code in to remove the region lock. Hope that helps x

Definitely for folks in the market for a new player, it’s also a good place to check whether the model you’re considering can be made region-free easily. All players are manufactured as region-free, it’s the firmware that assigns region.

Shout out to everyone who watched Hannibal as it aired on TV. Who didn’t have the luxury of watching an entire season in one day. Or have the luxury to go straight from season two to season three with just the click of a button. You guys had it rough my friends. I am so very sorry you had to deal with that sort of pain and uncertainty.

#sad fist-bump#I only got to binge like the first three episodes before we were caught up#i'm bingeing the whole damn thing for the first time right now#(i rewatched s1 before s2 started but otherwise i've just watched as each ep aired)#and it's creating quite a different effect#some opinions i had are changing slightly#also it's giving me off the hook dreams#not nightmares per se but... unsettling

Why did Game of Thrones finally get lavishly rewarded for a stumble-bum season that demanded a lead thumb on the fast forward? People watched the High Sparrow storyline and thought, “Now this, THIS is what GoT should have been doing all along”? I guess the Sand Snakes made voters say, “Bravo, Game of Thrones — this was thy finest hour! And that [Sansa] rape scene — pure magic! Television just plain didn’t get any better this year!”

#hannibal kind of made me wish i actually like horror movies#which i emphatically do not#because there are apparently soooo maaaany shout-outs to classic horror films#though the one i totally got was that like the entire show is a huge mash note to tony scott and The Hunger#because hot damn i loved that movie when i was 16#and basically hannibal is catherine deneauve and will is susan sarandon#and the soundtrack is unsettling percussion and screeching or classical music#and there's a goth rock song#and i don't know why NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THIS
