Rapunzel chuckled as Justin and Sawyer greeted Lorina.  She always found them adorable when they got like that - whether it was because she walked in the door, or Tex, her parents, friends…  anyone, really.  It was more Justin than Sawyer, though, but still.  With their tails wagging and curious sniffs, she couldn’t help but let out a laugh.

"That’s a good thing, though, right?  I mean, obviously, babies and children are supposed to grow, but isn’t it a good thing that he’s gotten big now?" she asked.  She thought so, anyway - children’s development was important, after all.

As she looked for the photo and continued speaking, Rapunzel made her way into the kitchen - to get some water for the both of them, just in case.  Upon returning back into the living room, she smiled as she sat next to Lorina, handing her the glass.  ”Well, regardless, I hope he feels better soon.”

Giggling a little, her cheeks flushed pink at the thought.  She wanted children with Tex, she really did; she always thought he’d end up being a great father.  ”I hope so,” she replied with another smile, “Although we haven’t exactly had that discussion yet,” she giggled again, nodding along.  ”Hopefully sometime in the near future, though.”

Leaning in a little closer to see the picture, Rapunzel took it in her hands and held it gently and delicately, looking at it with large, soft green eyes.  ”Oh, Lorina…  he’s beautiful,” she let out in a breath, her smile widening.

“I don’t know, I sort of just wish he would still be a tiny little baby for a little longer,” Lorina laughed as she moved her hands to demonstrate just how tiny she would have liked Adam to stay. But, unfortunately time didn’t stand still and already he was getting so big and she was just having to adapt to it. “He grows out of his clothes faster than I buy them sometimes.” It was a good thing that she and Zachary wanted to have a big family – so she was keeping all of the clothes, just in case --- even though she would have liked to have a little girl next. “--- The time will come for you though, when it’s right.” Even if she didn’t know if there was an actual proper time… by now she should have at least had had three children in her home era – but she was happy enough having Adam.

Besides, she wouldn’t have had Zachary then. “--- But you have to let me see all the wedding pictures.” She nodded her head enthusiastically as she tried to imagine the kind of dress that Rapunzel must have worn. It would have been something princessy and beautiful, of course. Everyone says every bride looks like a princess on their big day – but she knew that because Rapunzel actually was a princess it would have been different – bigger, flashier, but soft and beautiful.

Zachary smiled as it seemed Ruby wanted more attention. Moving his hand to scratch her stomach, the pup laid down and rolled onto her side to give him better access to it. When he heard Lorina moving about upstairs he looked up at the stairs and smiled when he noticed her on them. But feeling Ruby paw his wrist made him turn his attention back to Ruby.

"She what?" That didn’t sound like Ruby. She was quite a gentle dog. He didn’t even think he saw her nip at flies or ants whenever they were in the house. Besides he had made sure that Ruby was well trained. Both he and Lorina were worried she might hurt Adam so he trained the pup so that wouldn’t happen. He thought that would go for other people as well.

"What did he do?"

“Nothing!” She didn’t mean to exclaim her reply, but she had --- she was just too surprised at what their puppy had done when she took her for a walk. “I mean, he literally standing there --- and she just ran up to him and bit him.” Lorina really had no idea what was up with Ruby. When they were in company of other people she was usually so well behaved. She never even seemed interested in the family’s cat Dinah either. If anything all she did was play with the Himalayan kitten.  “I really have no idea what got into her…” "... It took me just to drag her off the poor boy." If anything he had seemed to be put off with the idea that there was a dog running around - but even he couldn't have thought the dog would have bit him, right? "I don't even know what to do."

The telepath’s brow furrowed when he heard that he and Lorina needed to talk. As far as he knew he hadn’t done anything wrong or that would upset her. He had been working most of the day but he had explained to her that if he got done all of his work that day then they could have some family time come the weekend. She had seemed fine with it and was even willing to take Ruby for a walk so he could concentrate on his work. Heck he was almost finished because she did that too.

Getting up from his desk he walked out of his office in search of his wife. Entering the living room and noticing her shoes, he scratched his head a little as he tried to think of where she had gone. Probably up to see Adam was his guess. But as far as knew their son had been peacefully asleep. Noticing Ruby, he smiled at their pup and bent down to scratch her behind one of her ears. Ruby seemed to love the attention as her tail wagged and bent her head more into Zach’s touch. “About what?” he called out to Lorina as he continued to give Ruby attention.

“--- uhm,” she was about to reply – but realised that she was hunched over her son who was asleep. She still couldn’t help but have to check on him when she got home from being away from him. Adam had more or less taken over her life – as you would have expected with a first baby, or any baby. Turning around Lorina walked over to the staircase and looked down at her husband who was playing with the dog. Ruby seemed quite happy to have some attention, pawing at Zachary to continue the petting. Sighing, Lorina simply couldn’t understand what made the pup change so drastically when she was out. “It’s about her…” She nudged her head at the kelpie. Sitting down on the top stair, her fingers began to toy with the fluffy cotton of her sock. “--- she just bit this guy at the park today.”

“Zach---“ She rushed into the guest house, her feels clicking on the wooden floor as she leaned down and dropped the pup gently down. “--- We need to talk.”

Lorina fumbled with her heels, throwing them aside as she walked through the guest house and towards the nursery to check on the baby before she had a talk to her husband about what had just occurred at the park. It wasn’t like Ruby to go on the offensive, but maybe Zach could help her with her concerns. The last thing she wanted was for Ruby to hurt Adam. Even if Ruby seemed to be back to normal now that she was away from Brent, Lorina still had the niggling nightmares nudging to the back of her head.

I feel like on the first date with a guy he’ll think I’m easy (like Fiona), and that’s so disconcerting. It’s not like I haven’t had sex on the first date, but usually that ended up in a two year relationship. I don’t gravitate to the jock; it’s the nerdy guy in the corner.

"No, you didn’t bother me. It’s just, well you’re going to think this is silly so there’s no point,” he explained and shoved his hands in his pocket. As much as he did just want to leave at the moment, he did know what manners were and didn’t like the feeling of guilt that happened right after he knew he’d upset another person. And besides, what was he supposed to day, that the reason why he didn’t want to be the nice guy and help out was because he was afraid of dogs? Even a tiny one named Ruby who isn’t used to elashes and gets excited.

The smell. That is what made the hair on the back of his neck rise and it was soon followed by the sound of a growl. Right behind, a small puppy that the woman just described ran towards him and that picked up his heartbeat. Rather than running, he froze and hoped he could seem normal.  —-That didn’t happen. The dog bit him and he let out a grunt of pain, then tried to pry himself off of the beast.

Moving her hand to her head she tried to think of where her little pup could have disappeared to. This was going to be quite the conversation to have with Zachary when she got home, especially if she was without Ruby. “… I’m going to kill her when I find her,” No, she probably wasn’t --- she was probably just going to be relieved to see her.

And, when she did see her – it wasn’t quite what Lorina expected. Chocolate brown eyes widened considerably as she shouted out, “Ruby!” She reached over, trying to lift her little kelpie from the leg of the boy. “Ruby, what are you doing?” She asked, finally loosening her puppy’s jaw from his trousers. “I—I’m so sorry,” She whispered as she then looked down at the puppy, and then towards Brent. “She’s… she’s not usually like that.” Moving back a little, the frisky pup in her arms was struggling and she didn’t want to drop her just in case she did the same thing again. It was incredibly strange for Ruby to act in such a manner. Moving her hand to clip on the leach to the collar, Lorina glanced at Brent. “Are you alright?”

Wonderland; often revered as the dwelling abode for those perverted into insanity those whom pillaged the lands, tormenting those of crystalline cognizance to engulf within m a d n e s s themselves before advancing on in the cycle of delirium ) ambidexterity fabricated all considerations. For Wonderland was nothing grander but than of juvenile ingenuity, a child’s architecture sculpted with eccentric lands and ever more so folk. Albeit madness reigned sovereign, certainty wallowed in it’s keep.

“Merely because you envision something does not take away from the reality of it’s existence; I’m just as m a d as you are, my dear.”

Mad,” Lorina scoffed. Shaking her head, her long curls bounced off of her shoulders down her back. She gathered the skirts of her dress and stood up from where she was sitting. She was completely sure of the fact that she was not mad – never – ever. She may have been mad to get engaged to Lowell simply for him to leave her in the lurch and branded as wasted goods… but, no, she was not mad in that sort of way! “--- I think you’ve mistaken me for my sister,” She looked away from the cat. Why was she even talking to a cat anyway? This most certainly wasn’t real. “… This is the sort of  d r e a m  Alice would have had.”
