Hey @staff , I’ve been followed by 3 porn bots in the last 2 hours and that doesn’t include the countless others I’ve been followed since the changes last month... your censorship is clearly not working. How about just getting rid of the bots and not banning “female presenting nipples”?

One Direction is so underrated

Before you start hating hear me out. I know that One Direction wasn’t an underrated band as a whole since they were the biggest band of their time. But I’m talking musically. If you ask anyone about One Directions fan base they would say it considers of young teenage girls who scream and cry over a pop boyband who sings some badly written pop songs. BUT those people are the ones who have only heard What makes you beautiful or the other most popular songs by One Direction. In a react video someone was shocked over how they went from WMYB to Liam Payne’s Strip that down, which was such a change for them. That person clearly never heard No Control or Temporary Fix. They all think and judge them for songs they released when they were 17-19 years old and just started out and only being credited on writing on 3 of the songs. They critic them like they themselves had the most mature and perfect music taste at that time, let alone could write something better. They make it seem like One Direction still would write those songs in their early twenties. It’s like Justin Bieber. For years Justin was this celebrity who it was popular to hate on. People made fun of Baby for so long even though he released new and more mature music and then BOOM he released Purpose and then all of sudden everyone loved Justin Bieber and people who normally hated on him wasn’t ashamed to admit they listen to him or even loved his new songs. One Direction (as a band) is still in that “popular to hate/dislike” position and a lot of people who only heard their solo music thinks that it has changed DRASTICALLY from what they heard from One Direction when in reality it hasn’t. Yes, it has changed. The sound and the lyrics have become a bit more personal individually but not that much. In November 2015 One Direction released Made In The AM. The album showed a whole new side of One Direction. The sound was different from their 4 previous albums and more mature in a different way, and along with the lyrics, gave a better picture of who One Direction are now and had grown to be from their first album Up All Night. A lot of people would be shocked and maybe even have a hard time recognizing it as One Direction and even enjoy it more than they will admit. One Direction was formed in mid-2010. That’s over 8 years ago. All those “teenage girls” has grown up now and changed their music taste along with the boys and even though more people in every age and gender have joined the fandom over the hiatus those fans from around 2010 have aged and a lot of their fans are in their twenties so to always describe someone’s entire fanbase as crazy hysterical teenage girls are not only kind of offensive but also wrong. It’s also wrong that saying you like One Direction instantly puts you in a box of stereotypes that people have towards fandoms of younger male artists. One Direction is one of the greatest bands. I don’t believe you should ever compare any boybands to each other. There is THE greatest boyband and then there are one of many great ones and One Direction differently deserve a place as one of the greatest. Not only because of their success but because they are extremely talented and their music deserves much more recognition than it got.
