are you normal or does your brother (32) chase you (33) down the sidewalk trying to lasso you, both of you giggling like a pair of twelve year olds, while your neighbors look at you like you're crazy?
not that I speak from experience or anything

Facts!🤭
My dad played my nephew in chess last night for the first time and when I talked to him today, he said, “You’ve taught your young Padawan well.”
I don’t completely suck at teaching kids how to play chess, but I cannot overstate that 85% of that is just him being a very smart, very determined six year old
FAC music rec anon here - no worries about not having any specific recs to give!! I'm re-reading fac right now and I'm just loving how much mystery there still is like I'm trying to guess who the real enemy is if not King James and his people and I still can't exactly guess it. I do have one question though, when Tarakrov's army came to Sciath in the beginning of part i, did they spill any innocent blood?
I don't think I did a good job laying in the ground work for the "real" enemy, so don't worry too much about that. I think it only started to get talked about in one of the unposted chapters.
It's one of the things I wanted to rework but I just never started rewriting it
As to your last question, not unless they were forced to spill it while defending themselves. The whole debacle was more a show of force than the intent of a true battle or the declaration of war, like, "we could fuck you up if we wanted but that's not our agenda and you should thank your lucky stars for that."
One of the other things I was doing when I started rewriting FAC was planning on at least another chapter or two in Sciath with a new character added to tie things up in a neater bow. I think I left there too quickly the first time 'cause I was in a hurry. It was already getting longer than I had planned and I knew the momentum would run out if I faltered, which (as we all know) eventually happened anyways.
Even rushing through it, I ended up with 50k of the draft and it probably would've taken close to that to finish that version up.
I've never watched the X-Files before, not even a few minutes of an episode
I mean. I've always sort of vaguely known what it was about and of course, I know the two mains and their primary character traits (Scully the Skeptic and Mulder the Believer) but I've never actually seen the show
The whole series is on Hulu, though, and I've re-watched all the usual suspects, so I guess I'll be filling this gap in my pop culture education until I get tired of it :P

Leverage S04E10 The Queen's Gambit Job.
Bonus:
the question isn't 'is con crit okay?' that's a terrible way to frame the issue.
the question is 'do fan creators want your con crit?' and the answer is clearly overwhelmingly No!
like, are hugs okay? theoretically, sure. but if you're going around hugging strangers who don't want you to, and they have fucking told you so, then you are in fact an asshole and should knock it off.
I replied to your message in my head several days ago did you not get it
my blog is a safe space for me. the rest of you are in danger i think
Anyone: *is watching Leverage for the first time*
Me: have you heard about watch order? Do you know the watch order? Hey. Hey. Are you aware that season one is out of order and requires a specific watching order. Hey. Hey. Hey. Have I told you about watch order yet?
May I present, the actual Leverage Season 1 intended viewing order:
Are you kidding me!
I’ve watched Leverage so many times I HAVE LOST COUNT and I’m just now hearing about a watch order for S1???? I have been done so dirty
Can someone kindly explain why the watching order matters? I recently watched it in the order it came out and didn't feel like I missed anything given its episodic format.
genuinely, in the grand scheme of things, it probably doesn't matter all that much, it's still really enjoyable
I just always though the vibe was weird in a couple of episodes in the first season and finally discovering why feels like vindication
For example, in The Miracle Job, Nate tells the crew, "I know this isn't the kind of job we usually do," and I always found that weird because it's only the third episode--and only the second episode of them Being The Team--so it's like...how do you know that? You're still figuring out what exactly it is that you do?
Knowing that The Miracle Job was supposed to be mid-season makes that line make a lot more sense
So, like I said. It doesn't MAJORLY matter, but for anyone who's watched it a billion times (like me) and started noticing little things, it clears up some of our confusion :)
hiiii do you have any music recs to accompany a fac re-read?
I'll be real with you, I don't remember having any specific songs I listened to while writing it. I checked my FAC folder but I don't have a document for songs in it, either.
Around the same time, I think I did listen to Mordred's Lullaby on repeat but I can't tell you for sure if it was for FAC or not. I relistened to it before posting this and I'm thinking maybe I did? But for the vibes, not necessarily the lyrics.
I wish I had a better answer for you, my apologies! But if you have a song rec, I'd love to hear it :)
Hi, what show/movie is your background picture from?
It’s a photo from the 2013 production of the Globe Theatre’s Midsummer’s Night Dream :)
