This was my favorite song to cover. It's the saddest. And sweetest. But, mostly the saddest. (I MEAN...Remember when Dumbo's mommy was cradling him through the bars???!)
Tegan and Sara is the #1 band that I am constantly asked to cover. I’m now going to tell you why that makes me smile.
As a band, I have the utmost respect and admiration for them. They’ve taught me about hard work, responsibility, confidence, pride, drive, and that success shouldn’t define or change your character or relationships.
As friends, they’ve encouraged me, motivated me, talked me through some tough times, made me laugh harder than I ever thought possible, challenged me, believed in me and taught me to believe in myself.
So, it is a great honor to finally pay tribute to one of my very favorite bands…Tegan and Sara.
…and, boy, do they write damn good songs.
