[NEWS] 2017.05.22 Aaron Yan met up with fans in Japan, he led 400 fans to eat, have fun and to indulge with nature

Aaron Yan has just completed shooting for drama “Kiss Love and Taste”, he headed to Japan to hold a fan meet promptly after. This time, Aaron went on a “2-days, 1-night” tour together with 400 fans and visited the Lake Kawaguchiko, a popular tourist attraction in Tokyo. Fans spent a great time with Aaron by eating delicious foods and indulging with the beautiful sceneries and nature. This allowed the fans to interact with Aaron close-up and to see what he’s like off-screen. Aaron responded by saying that he felt very comfortable and relaxed interacting with fans through this way, he also got to know that many of his fans are striving hard to live; it has been a very special experience for him and he really enjoyed the trip this time.

On the first day of the tour, Aaron played a basketball match with his fans. Fans were all extremely happy to see Aaron’s basketball skills, in addition to basketball coaching, Aaron also played streetball with his fans. Fans all appeared to have enjoyed it very much, the atmosphere was hyped up when Aaron scored, causing the fans to scream non-stop.

The most special part of the tour was when Aaron visited fans’ rooms in the evening to interact with them. In order to grasp Aaron’s attention, fans worked hard on decorating their rooms, some turned their rooms into a “theme park” by blowing up balloons and setting up mini versions of dartboards and bow and arrows games. Others brought out Aaron’s past dramas and albums since his debut and arranged them into a row for Aaron to see, this triggered Aaron to discuss his old memories with his fans. He even helped some of the fans to make their beds and took pictures with them one by one, all the fans were super excited to see their idols walk into their rooms!

During the afternoon of day 2, Aaron set up a BBQ session to spend with his fans. Following on, they visited a bat cave, this was the tour’s first sightseeing event. Aaron expressed it was a very special experience for him as it was damp and cold inside the cave, he almost had to duck down entirely incase he hits his head against the rocks above. Aaron and the fans headed to the Lake Kawaguchiko after, there Aaron saw Mt Fuji and took a picture with his fans in front of it. Aaron said he felt lucky as the weather for the entire trip has been very good, he managed to see Mt Fuji without any mist or fog blocking his view, according to the locals, this will bring him a whole year of good luck!

Lastly before the trip ended, Aaron gave his fans some words of encouragement. He said if there are things that they have always wanted to do but haven't taken action yet, never be afraid to try them out. He used himself as an example, he introduced basketball to those who have not played the sport before, this way you will often end up having unexpected gain and experiences. Aaron also hopes to have more opportunities to interact with his fans from different areas of the world through various ways in the future.

Gosh those bts feels like forever ago since I have subbed them, so many things have changed since. Back then when Aaron was still filming dramas for SETTV there were a lot of international fans watching them (especially in years 2013 - 2014 when JY and FILWM were airing), gradually many fans on tumblr were making gifs of Aaron and was following his updates etc., this blog’s traffic grew quite a lot too. However, after that things died down a bit and even though he came back to film RM in 2016, it wasn’t as well received as JY and FILWM, fans have started to quieten down ever since.

Thank you for your message! Aaron doesn’t hold many fan meetings outside Taiwan nowadays, and if he does it’s usually just Japan (as he has an official fanclub there) and probably Mainland China in the future, as he has started to film dramas in China in recent years.

[Announcement] 2017.05.11 Dearaaronyan will only be updating Aaron Yan’s major updates from now onwards

Puddings, you may have noticed I haven’t been updating very much lately. I’m going to be completely honest, my motivation to keep this blog up and running has dropped within these past few months. Also many fans who used to interact with this blog have already quit tumblr. But I know it will be a shame if I close this blog down entirely, since it has been running since 2012. Therefore I have decided that I will continue updating Aaron’s major updates only from now onwards. These may be news, new dramas/albums announcements or anything particularly interesting he shares on his social media channels.

[NEWS] 2017.05.06 Aaron Yan: “This industry requires mutual respect!” He revealed the true reason behind criticising Nick Zhou

Recently Aaron Yan criticised Nick Zhou on his Facebook, today was his first time appearing in public since the incident happened. The reporters asked him about this during the media interview today, Aaron replied, “This isn’t something related to me, right? Those who actually want to see us get into an argument are you guys, if everyone thinks what I have mentioned isn’t serious enough, or if you want to treat it as a joke, or if you don’t want to investigate into it further, I will also not mention it anymore.” He expressed his only motive was to improve this industry, he also hopes that everyone can investigate deep into the matter, “We must respect each other, if we want this industry to improve then mutual respect must be present.”

Aaron Yan attended to watch “The Fantasy Musical of Teresa Teng in 5D” today, when he was asked about the incident with Nick Zhou, he said he was targeting the matter, not the person, “I was telling the truth, I only wanted this industry to become better, if everyone doesn’t seem to care then there isn’t much of a point for me to stress about it anymore.” When filming, actors must respect passerbys as well as the rules of the public, Aaron reckons this is the “most basic level of respect”, “Inside a school there are students and kids present, it’s fine if you want to eat betel nut and smoke, but please don’t affect the people around you; each and every staff are very hardworking, you must respect them and be able to understand and realise the difficulties they have.”

Aaron expressed he hasn’t one bit been affect by the Nick Zhou incident, “Everyone please focus on the environment, we must improve the both bad points and the already good points.” Aaron feels helpless how everyone thinks he’s overreacting, “Everyone knows about these issues, but whether they will actually face them is another matter, if we don’t face them then there isn’t much use of me to speak more.” He has never considered himself as some sort of brave warrior to stand up and speak on behalf of everyone, he said he just wants to state out the problems, but whether others are willing to face them and to make improvements, Aaron cannot control this as the final decisions are in their hands.
