Life update once again!
I am going back to school either this quarter or next to become an RN! I think through everything happening with my mom and Kris’ mom it has only emphasized how much I value the occupation of nursing in the field and it’s something I’ve always tossed around the idea. But now that I have some stuff paid off I feel like I can afford it, and I have full support from my incredible girlfriend who is going to financially help me go through school so I’m not in too much more debt. My parents are also thrilled and I finally feel like I’m building more adult relationships with my family and it’s really cool.
Super stoked because in October we are going on a cruise and a trip with some fantastic people I’ve met this past year who are also wanting to travel with us in a few years. The nice thing about being an RN is no matter where we move/travel I can always find work and even do traveling nursing programs that will pay for trips for us!
Is feels really nice to be in control of my future. I’m making good money, I love where I live, I have neat hobbies now that I love and work towards,I have goals and plans set up and I’m doing this all with someone I literally could not see myself being without. I’ve found someone who puts more light into my life than I ever thought possible and have experienced so many ups and downs of life with. She makes my world spin, and I finally understand what being in love is to its fullest potential. I’m really, really happy right now, the only thing that’s looming is her mom’s upcoming CAT scan to check to see if her cancer has returned. Prayers and good thoughts are appreciated

This is the most accurate meta-commentary on the relation between social media and a corporation I’ve ever seen.
Probably going to make a new url to start on some research/motivation for upcoming stuff. That and a fresh start is always nice.
In 3 years with the way I’m heading and the investments I’m making I think we are wanting to buy a trailer and start travelling the country for a while. We can get REALLY nice used ones for pretty cheap. I’ll be done with the classes I want to take and saving up from work plus the rental properties (literally the easiest way to retire) will be taking off in full force.
Family stuff after that. As much as I get excited seeing my second cousins and friend’s babies I definitely want to wait to have kids, which is agreeable on both sides. We will just have fur babies until then, maybe I can home school? Who knows.
I’m so excited about where I am right now and new opportunities. I’ve found purpose. I’ve found what makes me the happy, which is slightly different from even just a year ago. I have new hobbies that I love and enjoy too!
Things I want to finish/do in a year:
- complete my garden (we have pallets so far!)
- finish my own cookbook (I’ve found a passion for cooking and started writing recipes)
- Break making/on track for 80k at work
- Go to the Florida Keys to scuba dive, explore and fish (I have all my own gear now hehe)
- Get down to 18 - 19% body fat and break my previous fitness goals
- New hair style (It’s time....)
- Get a puppy?? (Love pup, this is a maybe)
And some other stuff that I can’t recall off the top of my head.
Haven’t been on here in a while but just as an update everything is going swell. My mom is doing well, she has seven more chemo treatments and she’s keeping her spirits up! I will be moving to Leander (It’s up north past Georgetown) in about a week’s time!! AH SO EXCITED.And there’s a train super close to where me and Kris will be living that goes right into Austin. I will be making trips down south periodically but as soon as things are moved in I would love to show people around!
On to a brand new chapter of my life with new opportunities, new adventures and setting lots of foundation work for the future. I’m so excited career wise, health wise, relationship wise, and growth wise.
My fave April Fools prank today so far is Japanese McDonald’s new XXXS fry.

Thoughts on respectability politics: used to be so guilty of that, shit like “why can’t you explain to people nicely about racism/transphobia/etc otherwise they won’t listen and it makes things worse” the general underlying notion is that people who are hurt, minorities and marginalized identities, are expected to be composed, to be mature about their reactions. To be sophisticated or they’re unjustified and unfounded. I have struggled with this many times, of whenever I found myself feeling angry or bitter I hold myself back, because if I express it I’m suddenly a bad guy and “reverse-racism” shit. But I’m so bottled up. Why can’t I be nasty when I feel nasty? Why can’t I lash out? Why can’t I have a space of being angry without policing or silencing? Aren’t my experiences and anger valid? Aren’t I valid?
