1. Art of Persuasion | Entry 1

Getting any and everything is the key to happiness…except I didn’t want him so will I still have my happiness? To keep happiness you keep those around you happy and that’s all I have to do. Be decent around the both of them; act lovey dovey with him when around my mother and hopefully keep my space and be a little fake when around him. How hard could it be? He got a handsome face with an even finer wallet and a bank account to match! I should know! He has no budget for this wedding and that set dollar signs in my mother eyes. I, on the other hand didn’t care much.

~Haunted; Beyoncè Knowles Carter

Third Person Omniscient

The warm water dropped onto Josephina’s petite body as she ran her hands all over herself while the steam fogged up the glass that gave Tyson a clear view of his submissive freely touching parts that his hands were begging to grab and massage. Undressing until he was fully nude, Tyson stepped into the glass shower where he grabbed Josephina and slammed her against the marble tiled wall and wrapped her leg around his now slippery waist. Sliding his hand up to her precious mouth, Tyson slipped a finger between her lips, her tongue quickly wrapping around it as he roughly entered her and wrapped his tattooed and muscular arm around the small of her back, pulling her in her closer as she hummed in pleasure onto his finger.

There was an animalistic lust and beastly sex being done and Tyson needed the feel of her body against his or it will. Drive him mad if he went too long without being inside of Josephina. “Are you my bitch?” He gritted, thrusting deeper into her, her back arching into him as she nodded and held in her screams of pure satisfaction, only to have her hair yanked back. “Use your words.” He demanded and she opened her mouth, but was so far gone that no words were able to form and roll off of her tongue. Wrapping her other leg around his waist, Tyson was now disappearing inside of her as Josephina was now slamming her hands against the glass repeatedly until he licked over his lips and turned her to face the wall.

Slapping her plump backside, he teased her by slowly entering her, but pulling away which drove her over the edge as she was now screaming for him to dominate her and said two words that gave Tyson motivation to send her to cloud nine. “Fuck me.” She breathed out and he held her hips before slamming into her sensitive spot and bit into her neck as she sucked in a breath and shuddered at the immense pleasure that she was receiving for doing absolutely nothing. With each forceful thrust, Josephina’s body became more pressed against the cold tile that supported her from falling down onto the porcelain tub.

01:The Beginning

I hate the holidays. Christmas, Halloween, and especially Thanksgiving. Certain things that happened in my life strangely took place around certain holidays making me resent them. I grew up in Bed Stuy, New York. Jay Z’s idea of a place where dreams come true is complete bullshit. The Bed Stuy I grew up in had drug dealers on every corner, hustling to make ends meet, hookers glued to every curb in sight as if that is their home, homeless people begging passers by for change. Watching the sadden look on their faces when they get ignored made my heart break, most of the time it wasn’t even their fault as to why they’re homeless.

Family members may debt to drug dealers and the only way to pay them off is to sell everything and anything valuable that they had. Or some people didn’t really give a shit about their family and so they did everything that they can to get their hands on drugs. Crack heads doing whatever they need to get their next fix; sucking dick for $5 and robbing local convenient stores. Some got so desperate that they would kill the enemies of drug dealers, for pay they got drugs. It’s like a never ending cycle. I remember clear as day the first time I witnessed a robbery. I was only 14 years old.

Halloween is mostly kids favourite time of year since it’s the only holiday that they get free candy and get to dress up as ghouls, monsters and aliens to frighten the crap out of people. I used to love halloween but one day I was out trick or treating by myself because I thought ‘I was grown enough to do it myself’ but that decision almost cost me my life.

Chapter 5, part two.

Rylie Mcullan “Nah it’s okay.. Let’s see if u still be talking so much shit after I beat your ass.” I said and Hanna started laughing behind Devin.

“Alright, challenge accepted.” Devin said and I frowned. “What Challenge?” I asked him but before I got an answer Devin started to throw some moves at me.

His body moved perfectly, I couldn’t believe my eyes. This nigga could actually dance.

He held out his hand for me to grab it.

I laughed and shook my hand as I pushed it away before I threw my hands in the air and  started to move my hips to the sound of the rhythm. Spinning around and took a step towards him. Causing him to step back.

He watched me carefully and bit my lip as he pushed me back gently and started body popping. I laughed as I thought about the fact that we’re actually having a dance battle right now. I couldn’t stop laughing now and Devin frowned at me.

“Okay nigga, that all you got?” I said, smirking at him playfully. I didn’t know whether I was drunk or if I was actually enjoying this and having fun with Devin.

He grabbed my hand pulling me closer to him before he turned me around pressing his body against mine. I slowly started grinding my body against him as I felt his hand on my lower back, pushing me down gently.

“Maybe you might win from me after all..” He mumbled softly into my ear before I turned back around.

I saw a girl push Hanna away and she was frowning mad hard. “What the fuck.” She said and Tyson started laughing. I frowned as the girl walked up to me and pushed me back.

“Who do you think you are fucking hoe?” a girl said. I simply stared at her and frowned mad hard. “Oh shit.” I heard some guys say and I just kept staring at her. “Excuse me, what did you say.” I said to her and she started laughing.

“Oh I see you ain’t from here.” She said and Devin grabbed her arm. “Calm down Britt.” He said and she laughed. “How am I supposed to calm down when this hoe is throwing yourself at you.” She yelled and looked at me.

I raised my eyebrow and took a step closer to her as Hanna grabbed my hand. “Rylie don’t.” She said and I shook her off. “Who the fuck do you think you are? You can’t just come and run around here calling me a hoe. I swear girl.” I said and took my earrings out.

Tyson grabbed my arm and pulled me back. “I wouldn’t do that if I was you.” He said and laughed at the same time. I pushed him away and she took a step closer to me. “I’m his girlfriend she said and pushed my shoulder.

I grabbed her arm and laughed. “Oh sorry I guess he was just way too busy hitting on me that he didn’t mention he had a girl friend.” I pushed her back.

“Oh and don’t ever touch me again baby girl. I might fuck your skinny ass up.” I said and Hanna pulled me back to her. “Not tonight.” She said and sighed.

Devin glared at me and Tyson laughed his ass off with some other niggas.  The girl turned to Devin and he hugged her as he kept looking at me. I shook my head and turned at Hanna. “You really had to make some drama? Let’s go.” She said and pulled me with her.

I stumbled a little and walked with her as I looked back and saw Tyson walking after us. “Let me drive yall home, yall drunk.” He said and Hanna turned to him. “I’m perfectly fine Tyson. Thank you for the offer, but I don’t need you.” She said and walked out the door.

I followed quickly behind her. “Let him drive us.” I said and she shook her head.

Tyson Neverson

“I’m perfectly fine Tyson. Thank you for the offer, but I don’t need you.” Hanna said and walked out the door. Rylie followed behind her.

I laughed and shook my head walking after her. “You needed me in your bed 5 years ago.” I said and she turned around, dropping her jaw and laughed.

“I rejected you 5 years ago fucking asshole.”  She spat at me and I sighed. “Look I’m sorry let me just drive yall home.” I said to her and Rylie looked up at her. “Yes Hanna he can drive us home.” Rylie said and Hanna threw her keys at me.

I caught them and she walked to the car, Rylie stumbling behind her as she put Rylie in the back and got in the passenger side. I took a quick look at her and noticed how she changed.

Her plump ass got bigger. Her face was still the same though. But damn that ass. I would eat her booty forreal.

I got quickly in the driver seat and started the car. Hanna looked at Rylie in the back who passed out in her seat and laughed softly.

“She fucked up man.” I said and Hanna looked at me. She didn’t say a word she just looked at me. I looked at her as I stopped infront of a red light. I couldn’t read her face, I couldn’t figure out what she was thinking.

She shook her head lightly and turned her head. “I’m sorry about what I said.” I said and she just laughed softly.

I sighed. I don’t know whatsup with this girl man. I did something to her but I ain’t quite sure what I did to her.  Maybe something in the past but she gotta explain that shit to me man. Shit why am I even thinking this shit. This hoe ain’t mean nothing to me.

“Can you drop off Rylie at her Hotel? And then you can drive yourself home and then I will take the car and take myself home.” She said and looked out of the window. “Whatever you want babygirl.” I said and she shook her head.

After a few minutes we arrived at Rylie’s hotel. I got out of the car and opened the back seat, picking Rylie up and carried her to the lobby.

She woke up and looked at me. “I can walk you know.” She said and I put her down on her feet as I pushed the elevator button. “Aye can I ask you something?” I said and she nodded.

“You seem chill to hang with, gimme your number and Ima hit you up sometime.” I said as we both got in the elevator. She nodded and I handed her my phone. “put it in.” I said

She did as I say and typed in her phone number. We got up to her floor and walked to her room. “Careful aight?” I said as she opened the door. “Thanks Tyson, Have a good night.” She smiled and give me a quick hug.

I hugged her back. “Of course baby girl.” I said and watched her walk inside, she closed the door behind her and I walked back down.

I walked outside to the car and got in. I looked at Hanna as she was texting on her phone. “I didn’t mean what I said.” I said to her. She looked up at me. “It wasn’t true anyways. I rejected you so don’t ever come with bullshit again.”  She said and I drove off.

“Okay Hanna.” I said, I knew she was lying. I could remember that day like it was yesterday.

~five years ago. flashback ~ “I’m scared Tyson.. what if it hurts?” Hanna said to me as I lied on top of her, kissing her neck gently down to her collarbones. I felt her breathing pick up underneath me and I smirked before I looked up into her beautiful eyes.

“Don’t worry baby girl.. I will be gentle. We can go as slow as you want.” I said in a soft tone. She nodded and relaxed a little.

I kissed down her little body and took her shirt off slowly, revealing her red bra and I bit my lip at the sight. She tugged at my shirt and I quickly took it off. She ran her hand down my abs and her face turned red.

I leaned down and kissed down her stomach she let out a soft moan. I unzipped her pants and she grabbed my hands quickly. “I-I can’t.” She said.

It caused me to look up at her in confusing. “What do you mean you can’t?” I said and she sat up and put her shirt back on. “I’m sorry Tyson.” She said with tears in her eyes as she got up.

“Leave my room please.”  She said and I got up, wrapped my arms around her waist. “Baby girl it won’t hurt I promise.” I said and looked down at her. She wiped her tears away quickly and walked to her door. She opened it.

“Please.” She whispered. I nodded at her and put on my shirt. “Text me.” I said as I walked out and she closed the door.

I never talked to her again.

~ end flashback ~

I pulled up back at Devin’s place and she looked at me. “Have a good night Tyson.” She said and I nodded at her. “You too Hanna.” I nodded and got out the driver seat. Watch her climb in it and drive off quickly.

I walked back into the house. I saw Chivonn sitting on the couch and I went to her. “hey baby girl.” I said as I said down next to her. “Hey baby.” She climbed onto my lap and kissed my cheek.

“Wanna get the fuck out of here?” She said and I smirked at her. “Let’s go upstairs to the guestroom.” I said and she got up quickly she extended her hand out for me and I grabbed it.

I got up and we walked up to the guest room. Once we walked inside I pushed her against the wall and kissed her hungrily. She kissed me back with just as much hunger as I pinned her hands up against the wall and pulled away from the kiss.

“Someone is eager.” She said and I groaned softly as I nodded at her.

Something got me sexually frustrated. I just needed to fuck this girl her brains out. I picked her up and threw her on the bed as I took my shirt off.

She took hers off and pulled me towards her. “No foreplay.” I said and took her leggings off. I unzipped my own pants and pulled down my boxers.

Letting my hard erection rub over her clothed pussy.

“You want it don’t you?” I said as I bit my lip. She nodded at me and I pushed her panties to the side rubbing my dick over her wet pussy before I slowly slid it in.

She let out a loud moan and I pushed it deeper inside of her. Feeling her tight walls stretch around my dick.

“You gonna get it then.” I groaned and held one of her legs up, sliding my dick out before slamming it into her. Hit her cervix causing her to moan again. I smirked and started to thrust quickly into her.

I rubbed her clit with my thumb and she squirmed underneath me. I laid her leg on my shoulder as I closed my eyes. I was about say Hanna until my eyes shot open and I looked down at Chivonn.

I bit my lip and shook my head lightly as I started pounding into her tight pussy. Moving my hand up to her breast and squeezed it hard as my dick started throbbing inside of her.

I never came this fast. Shit a nigga like me lasts long. But with these thoughts I just couldn’t hold back. I pulled out of her and came on her stomach.

“that was fast damn Tyson.” Chivonn said and bit her lip. “It’s the alcohol baby.” I said and she laughed. “Just blame it on the alcohol.”

Chapter five Part one.

Hanna Romero.

I looked at the time, 7’o clock. I’ll have to leave in 45 minutes. I can’t believe I’m gonna meet up with Devin. If someone sees me I’ll get killed. Fuck I’m crazy; I should just text him and tell him I can’t make it.

No wait, I want to know the other side of the story.

Fransico told me how this gang shit started but I never heard the other side of the story, all I know is that Devin and Fransico’s dad used to be good friends and did some business. Then Devin’s dad betrayed Fransico’s dad and got shot. But I don’t know who shot him, how he got shot and why. I mean I get the betraying part. But does that mean Fransico’s dad shot him?

“Hanna?” Fransico yelled from down the stairs causing me to snap out of my thoughts, I walked out of the bedroom and looked down the stairs. “Yeah, babe?” I said as he looked up at me.

“I gotta leave town for a day. I’m leaving in a few hours.” He said, I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion and walked down the stairs. “Where are you going?” I said as I pouted and he chuckled softly.

“Me and Montell are going out for business real quick. I’ll be back tomorrow night baby girl.” He said as he kissed my cheek. “let’s go upstairs?” He asked in a sweet tone and I shook my head.

“I can’t baby, I’m meeting up with my old roommate from college.” I said and walked into the living room, knowing damn well he ain’t going out just for business. But oh well, it be like that sometimes.

“Alright, tell me when you’re leaving.” He said I simply nodded and went to sit down on the couch.

Fransico and I made up after he I caught him cheating but it hasn’t been the same. He really tries but I can’t look at him without feeling hurt or used. Sometimes I wonder why I’m even still with him but we came this far that without him I am nothing.

Not to mention if we break up I will probably get kidnapped just so I won’t tell anyone about inside stuff of the gang. And who wants to be kidnapped? No one right?

I stared at the clock on the wall as I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. I took it out and looked at my screen. It was a text from devin.

‘I’m a little early, come to the table in the back.’ Is all it said. I looked at the time. 7.30.

I got up and walked up the stairs. Into the bedroom and saw Fransico laying down. “I’m going babe, have fun in.. wherever you going.” I said and rolled my eyes as I walked up to the bed.

Fransico looked at me and sighed. “I love you, you know that right?” He said and I nodded. “Love you too.” I pecked his lips quickly before walking out of the room.

“Have fun!” He yelled after me but I choose to ignore him. I walked down the stairs and out of my house.

Getting in my car and drove off to Roberto’s. not knowing how to act.

  Devin Brown.

I was looking around the restaurant; I wonder why she picked this place. No one ever goes here, that’s probably why she picked it.

I watched a girl with long dark hair walk in. I immediately recognized her.

Hanna was wearing jeans and a basic crop top but still looked amazing. She saw me and walked to the table and sat down.  Damn she was cute. A nigga wouldn’t mind spending some time with that.

“Hi.” She simply said and smiled. “Sup babygirl.” I smirked at her and sat back in my seat.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head. “Look, I really wanted to apologize for the other day. I was just in a really bad mood and didn’t want to talk to anyone.” She said as she looked down at her hands.

“It’s okay, but you ain’t forgiven yet.” I said and she quickly looked up at me. “ What do you mean I ain’t forgiven? I apologized.” She said and I chuckled softly.

“You gotta come to my place tonight and attend a good ass party and after that you’ll be forgiven babe.” She widened her eyes to my words and I smiled at her.

“I.. uhm look you gotta tell me something first and after that I will consider coming to your party, Devin.” She played with her necklace and I kept my eyes on her.

I studied her face before I opened my mouth to speak. “What do you wanna know?” I said not taking my eyes off her. I saw her getting a little uncomfortable.

“I want to know CMB’s side of the story.” She said as I frowned and chuckled. “What do you mean Cash Money Brother’s side of the story?”

“How did it all really start Devin..” I said and I shook my head looking at the waitress. “Don’t start about that shit Hanna.” I said feeling anger build up inside me. Thinking about what that motherfucker did to my dad.

She noticed and looked down. “Please Devin..” She said softly and I looked at her. “Fine.” I spat and sat back. “Your boyfriends father killed my dad. He betrayed my dad and that got him killed. That’s all I’m telling you for now.” I said and she looked up at me, furrowing her eyebrows.

“But they say your dad betrayed Fransico’s dad.” She said and I chuckled softly at her words. “that ain’t right tho.” I said and she nodded.

“Either way.. I’m sorry about your dad.” She said and placed her hand on my arm. I clenched my jaw at her touch and nodded. “Thanks Hanna.” I said and she nodded with a soft smile. “Of course, Devin.”

She rubbed her thumb on my arm before sitting back. “well if I’m gonna go to your party I better go home and get ready right?” She said and I smiled at her.

“But wait..” She said causing me to frown at her. “Sup?” I said and she sighed. “Is Tyson gonna be there?”

“Yeah, but if you don’t want him to, he won’t be.” I smiled at her knowing damn well I was lying.

“Yeah.. I don’t want him to, Thank you Devin.” She smiled and got up.

“Aye where my hug at?” I said and stood up.

She rolled her eyes and leaned over giving me a quick side hug.  I hugged her back and smiled. “See you tonight Devin.” She said and walked away from the table, outside to her car. I walked after her, staring at her big ass before I walked to my car and got in. and I drove back to Tyson’s place.

I arrived after a few minutes and walked in. his door never locked. Stupid ass nigga.

“Aye, Tyson.” I said as I walked into the living room. He lied down on the couch and looked at me. “Sup man, why you here?” He frowned and sat up.

“I’m finna throw a party at my house tonight, got some special guests coming.” He chuckled and shook his head. “You invited some strippers or something?”

I sat down on the other side of the couch and shook my head. “Better, meet you at my place in an hour. Bring your hoes.” I stood back up and walked out.

I was hoping Hanna would bring Rylie, damn I really need to get that girl to like me. She got that fine ass and those curves just make a nigga weak man. She like the dream girl of every guy. She feisty, confident, cute as fuck and her body is just great.

I know I got a girl man but I wouldn’t mind fucking with her. But she like Tyson more than me tho. Gotta change that.  She gotta like me man.

Rylie Mcullan.

I heard a loud knock on my hotel room door, causing me to wake up from my nap. I looked at the time. 10pm. For fuck sake who is trynna wake me up.

I groaned and got out of bed, opening my door as I saw Hanna standing in my door opening, wearing a cute colorful dress. “Hey we’re going to a party.” She smiled and walked in.

I looked at her and laughed. “What do you mean we’re going to a party? Girl Ima sleep.” I said and walked back to the bed and lied down.

“It’s a party you really wanna go to.” She said and walked to the closet, picking out a cute black outfit and threw it on the bed. “Why would I wanna go to this party?” I sat up and raised an eyebrow at her.

“Because it’s Devin’s party.” She smirked and looked at me. I widened my eyes and shook my head. “How did you get invited to his party?” I frowned and she laughed softly.

“Well I took his number out of your phone, just so I could apologize to him. But he would only forgive me if we would go to this party.” She simply said like it wasn’t a big deal.

“How the fuck did you get in my phone?” I said  grabbing my phone, going through my contacts to see if his number was still in it.

“You never changed your password dumbass.” She laughed.

“So you just get his number out of MY phone and tell me not to text him but you go around my back and do the exact same thing?”

She sighed softly and looked down. “I’m sorry Ryls.. I didn’t thought you’d get mad or make a big deal out of it.

“Well of course I’m gonna get mad. My side niggas are in there, who else’s number did you steal?” I said trying to stay as serious as possible.

“No one, just Dev I swear. Please just go to this p-“

“Fine let me get ready.” I said cutting her off, rolling my eyes  as I got up.

This better be a good ass party.

……

After an hour Hanna and I were on our way to Devin’s place. We already took some shots and got a little high. She pulled up at his street and parked the car down the road. We both got out and looked at eachother.

“Stay around me please.” She said and I nodded at her. We laced our arms together and walked up to the door.

Some hoes were standing outside and gave us dirty looks. Both Hanna and I rolled our eyes as we walked into the house.

I looked around as the smell of weed hit me and I chuckled softly. We walked through the hallway to something what looks like the living room. A few niggas were sitting on the couch with girls around them. The niggas on the side gave us weird stares.

We heard some whistling to us and some guys cheered a little. I looked over at Hanna and saw that she was starting to get uncomfortable.

“Let’s find Devin.” She said and looked at me I nodded at her and looked around as I spotted Tyson on the couch.

He noticed me and Hanna and pushed a girl of his lap. That girl was kinda cute, she had curly hair and a cute smile. But she wasn’t really special at all.

He got up and walked to the Kitchen, Hanna and I both walked after him. My eyes met with Devin as he was talking to Tyson.

He smiled as he walked up to us. “aye babe, you came and brought a friend.” He smirked and looked at me. Tyson slowly walked up to us and Hanna froze next to me.

I looked at her and then at Tyson as they both stared at eachother. “Here a drink.” Devin said and handed us both a drink. “Thanks Devin.” I said simply and smiled at him.

A cute little girl, who kinda looked like Hanna walked up to us and smiled at us. “Hey you guys must be ne- Hanna, hey.” She smiled and hugged Hanna. “what are you doing here?” Hanna said and smiled at her. “Oh my sister took me here, it’s kinda fun.” She smiled.

“Oh Ryls this is Yasmine. She was my roommate in College.” Hanna smiled as the girl, named Yasmine apparently smiled at me. “Nice to meet you, you’re Rylie right? Hanna talked about you a lot.” She said and I laughed softly.

I smiled and nodded. “Yeah Rylie it is, Nice to meet you too Yasmine.” I took a better look at her and damn she was fine. I would wanna have a roommate like that too.

The girl who was sitting on Tyson’s lap at first now walked up to us and stood next to Yasmine, they looked like they could be sister to be honest. They look alike.

“This is my sister Chivonn.” Yasmine said and Chivonn smiled at me before hugging Hanna. “Nice to meet you and nice to see you again, Hanna.” Hanna hugged her back.

I looked over at Tyson who was frowning mad hard. Chivonn took a step closer to him and he wrapped his arm around her waist.

Hanna squeezed my arm and I looked up at her, she didn´t look at me but. Something about her facial expression confused me, I couldn´t see what she was thinking about.

I took a sip of my drink as Devin was talking to Hanna.

It was weird how these two had so much in common. They were basically the same. Like hanna could be the female version of Dev but somehow me and him still couldn’t manage to walk through the same door together.

Realizing they didn’t pay any attention to me anymore I walked up to Tyson.

Something about him made me want to get to know him.  He seemed down to earth and just a dope ass nigga I could hang with. Unlike “someone”.

He looked at me and smiled lightly. “Hey Rylie, long time no see.” He said and Chivonn gave me a dirty look.

“You saw me like 2 days ago dumbass.” I laughed and he shook his head.

“Nah I saw you last night at the club, who dumb now?” He laughed.  I rolled my eyes and laughed softly. “I’m gonna go to the bathroom, Tyty, meet you there?” Chivonn said and I laughed to the nickname she gave Tyson.

He nodded at her and watched her walk away. “TyTy?” I laughed and he glared at me. “Shut up, she gives fire head.” He said and leaned against the wall, I stood next to him and looked over at Hanna and Devin who were laughing and joking.

Tyson handed me a new drink as I finished mine and I felt the liquor take over my body. “What is all this shit you gave me.” I laughed and drank my drink.

“nothing a girl like you can’t handle.” He said smirking a little, making me shaking my head.

Looking over at Devin and Hanna, I noticed that they were making their way back to us.

“Aye lemme talk to you real quick..” Devin said to me instantly grabbing onto my arm once he finally approached me.

I rolled my eyes and I looked up to him letting out a small chuckle.. “Nigga you gotta stop trying to hit on me cause it ain’t working.” I said and  heard Tyson burst out in laughter.

Devin was about to open his mouth to say something but I cut him off.

“See there you go again. Just stop it for fuck sake.”

“A nigga can’t even ask you for a dance now?.” He said and I shook my head. “With you? You wish I would.” I laughed softly and he bit his lip.

“ I bet you say no cause yo ass can’t dance.” He said and I raised my eyebrow at him.

“Me? Rylie Mcullan?” I let out a small laughter again before I shoke my head.

I’ve been dancing my whole life so for Devin to say that I couldn’t was Ironic to me.

“You’re fucking with the wrong one..” I heard Hanna mumble under her breathe

Bed Ford Avenue

Zinovia

“You can return when you’ve found something worth creating,Ms. Rielli.” My professor instructed dismissing me without another word. Inhaling deeply, I breathed out a deep sigh before I turned away from him and stepped out of the classroom doors. My boots tapped gently against the marble stone floors of the halls as I walked sullenly out of the doors of the main lobby.

I cursed to myself as the chilling wind of the late autumn New York City weather beat against my face flushing them a bright shade or scarlet. Running my hands over my sweated I zipped it closer towards my neck and caved in side it as if it would hide me from the cold.

My gaze floated around the mid day scene of uptown Manhattan. The flashing bright signs and buildings pulsating and lighting up the busy streets filled with passerby’s that walked in crowds. Voices fade out as they pass me and the cars fight to get though the never ending string of traffic.

A picturesque night painted right there before my eyes.

003: Case of The Broken Hearted

Lady in a glass dress I can see right through you You act like you don’t want this But you know that you do Since he broke your heart, girl You say you’ll never love again And you won’t let it stop girl

SHAELII

Few Weeks Later

I groaned in boredom as the television screen flipped channels through my control. I laid down along the couch, flipping myself upside down so that my head was hanging off the couch and the tips of my hair touched the carpet.

Sighing, I continued to guide through the channels as nothing interest me and my boredom continued to put a dark cloud over my head until I felt somewhat annoyed.

Seventeen: Don’t Question A Man LaToya and Jermaine entered the South Beach mansion together a little after one o'clock in the morning. The entire house was silent, no lights on, and it made LaToya shift closer to him. She knew now, there was nothing to worry about, but still for something or someone to be too quiet was never good. Instead of wasting time, Jermaine led them straight to the third floor to the master bedroom. LaToya closed the door behind them, but didn’t move another muscle in the direction of him. Since the moment he stepped in her house, he ignored her. No looks, no stares, no contact, no communication. Jermaine spoke with Zanea while LaToya stood to the back, observing everything. Every word he spoke, was said in her ear. Whatever he was doing was working though and that was for sure. Not long after his presence did Zanea bow and surrender her guns. Surprisingly she never tried to use them. When LaToya walked in, she sat directly I’m front of the door as expecting her. The guns were closely put on each side of her body with the safety was on for both. To say she was shocked was an understatement, but Zanea started it off. The first words she spoke was to inform LaToya that Chance knew where she was and was most likely on his way and so was Jermaine. They  don’t have long to speak if that was the plans. Even with a statement like that Zanea stayed calm. Her voice never rose, she never threaten LaToya in their time, and she only rose when cars started to pull up. When LaToya tried to reach for her gun, their eyes locked. Zanea pulled them with her mumbling lowly that LaToya wouldn’t take those too. She already had taken Jermaine. There was no response before the door burst open and Jermaine walked in. As if he had seen a ghost, his body froze and he starred at her. Even he knew she was loaded on some kind of substance rather alcohol or drugs she was high. Her body was pale and she looked weak. Nothing like her normal feisty, arrogant self. Slowly he approached her, his voice a low whisper as he read her the rights and wrongs of what she had done. He made sure to explain police weren’t and wouldn’t be involved, but he wasn’t afraid to do whatever it took to protect what was his. Eventually she was in her submissive stance; her head bowed to the floor, sitting back on her legs, and hands behind her back. Jermaine grabbed the guns and went to the door. Even in that split second when he could have looked and acknowledged LaToya he choose not to. Chance entered, his eyes locking with LaToya as the two of them took each other in. But even he didn’t speak. When Jermaine was back, Grey walked in and went straight to LaToya. He escorted her out the house, ignoring her comments of not wanting to leave. The car she chose to get away in was Jermaine’s red and black Audi R8, but he wouldn’t give her that satisfaction; so she put into the back seat of a black Tahoe. Grey got in the front and the two sat in an awkward silence as they waited for Chance, Zanea, and Jermaine to exit the house. A red Escalade was parked in front of them waiting for Chance and Zanea and Jermaine got in the R8. The entire ride LaToya wondered where they going as they drove around Wellington. Eventually her unanswered thoughts were answered as all three cars pulled up to Hampton Inn & Suites Wellington. Jermaine exited his car before Zanea and Chance got out and help her into the hotel. Five minutes into the wait Grey announced that she could go wait in the Audi. Her mind contemplated if it would be at her best interest, but overall she didn’t have much of a choice.  By the time she had made her mind up Chance was already walking out, heading towards his car. He shot Grey a quick peace sign before he looked over LaToya again. This time she didn’t return the contact. Obviously he too was upset and there was no need for that. If she could explain why everyone would understand, but who wanted to listen or better yet believe her at the moment.  Then he approached her. His facial expression said he understood why she was going out, but his tone said an entirely different story. He wasted no time getting to the point that leaving was an bad idea. All he wanted her to know was that she had to hold on and be strong. Jermaine was a handful, but he was a handful for a reason. And with that he was walking away. He started his truck and left the parking lot.  Her eyes wondered to the entrance doors, but she made no sudden movements towards it; no matter what her head spoke out she stayed outside and eventually opened the door to get inside. The keys were still in the ignition and with it being in the middle of July in Florida, some air was needed. It took him over an hour to exit the hotel doors. When LaToya noticed him she fasten her seatbelt as she tried her hardest to stop her body from shaking. It’s a shame she could feel his anger from inside the car. She watched as he signaled for Grey to leave the parking lot and then he got in the driver seat. Still he said nothing even as he eased out the parking spot and to the highway. The only sound between them was his is occasional phone conversations. Three or four took place, but only she could make out what was being said from his end of the conversation.  The only one she really understood through his short spoken answers was about getting his G-Class back to his house. From his end of the phone call she could tell he was speaking to Max and LaToya wondered at the moment where Terrance was. They spent the next few hours riding around, making  random stops before they once again ended up at the hotel where Zanea was staying. Jermaine didn’t even have to tell her not to get out at this stop. He indicated she’ll be staying by keeping the car running as he exited to grab bags. Another hour went by before he finally made his way back to the car. This time they were going home and she only hoped that she could roll out of the car to run to her own home, but after today she’ll be lucky if he doesn’t force her to sell it. Now they are in his house, all alone, and the tension is even higher. Jermaine is in the closet, undressing from the suit to get ready for a shower. As he removed his pants the velvet box fell to the ground and low groan left his throat. He bit his bottom lip as he picked it up and peeked inside. The bracelets were left in the truck that was now outside and he made a mental note to go out there and get them. Jermaine placed the box on his side of the closet behind a stack of folded shirts, making sure it was hidden. Deep down he knew he’ll give it to her, but right now anger, him being terrified, and disappointment over ruled his mind. When he was ready she’ll be forgiven, but right now he’s upset. While he showered, LaToya got herself ready for bed. But for obvious reason the room didn’t have it’s same warmth to it and that made her leave with her stuff in hand. She knew downstairs their was a marvellous view in one of guest rooms so that’s where she went. First thing she did was opened the curtains. The city lights shined through the window at the room given all the light that was needed. As she stripped down she decided to shower, clean herself up, and then soak in the tub to relax herself. Right now all the fingers were pointed at her, or so it felt and for at least an hour or so she just wanted to escape from that feeling. She used her black soap bar in the shower clean herself and the Jasmine liquid soap to soak in. Her hair was pulled into a high bun as her head rested against the tub. Her eyes were closed, her mind racing with thoughts. Randomly the thought of Jermaine hating her popped up and she wondered if it was possible. She knew it was wrong and most importantly childish, but every chance she had to apologize he shut them down not with words, but the distance he gave her. What was even crazier was the words Zanea and Chance told her. One telling her she was the cause of it while the other told her to hold on to Jermaine. She knew Zanea was out of it, anyone could tell, but that didn’t take away from the hurt. They say a drunk men speaks a sober man thoughts and rather she’s drunk or not that’s the idea that comes to LaToya mind. Then Chance telling her to hold on makes her even more aware of her actions. There’s no hiding she’s in love, but even with that there’s has to be some space. Since that rainy day that Jermaine found his way on her door step they have been inseparable. He was there when she got to her room in Atlanta, stayed everyday, left for a few hours for this exact situation, and then she was on a flight to him, from there they spent everyday together minus the few hours with her mother, and he just admitted to loving her. It was an understatement to say she needed to wrap her mind around everything going on, but she went about it the wrong way and as a grown women she could admit to that. But the “silent treatment” is just as childish as her running to her house earlier. Thankfully LaToya set her timer for an hour or she would have sat in the tub for another hour. Carefully she stood, grabbed the towel hanging for her, and wrapped it around herself. She drained the water, cleaning the tub afterwards, before drying herself off. Today she followed her normal routine even in a new bathroom. Figuring she’ll use the bathroom the next few days she pushed everything against the counter and put on her lace panties and slipped the over size “dance is life” UM shirt on. LaToya combed through her colored strings, a smile on her face as she eyed the waves forming. Once it pulled back up into a bun, she figured it was okay for the night. Her stomach growled loudly making her eyes go big. “Shit,” she remembered there hadn’t been any food eaten since the burgers they had and that was over twelve hours ago. “I’ll go find something later.” The sound of the bedroom door opening caused her to pause in her steps and seconds later she was staring at Jermaine. Just from his facial expression she knew what he was thinking. Closing the door, he finally held her eye contact, making her wonder what was he thinking about doing. For so long he ignored her and now he can’t seem to look anywhere else. As if someone else was there he locked the door before walking to her. His body was still tensed which made her worry, even as he took a step behind her. They looked at each other through the bathroom mirror. Slowly he lowered his head and LaToya eased back against his chest, but quickly he straighten his stance. As if he had hit her across the face, LaToya moved away. At the moment she no longer cared. If he planned to ignore and torture her then she’ll go home. When she reached for the doorknob, he started to shake his head. “Don’t. If you really wanna piss me off then go ahead, but I can tell I’m scaring the hell out of you already so if I was you I’ll let the shit go.” He watched as her hand drop from the door. Walking to her, Jermaine took note of the goose bumps forming on her body. As he stepped closer, she went against the door. “That hurt didn’t it, LaToya?” He rarely uses her full name letting her know right then this wasn’t going to be simple for her. Not only that, but he wasn’t loud. Low voice with an irritated facial expression. “To have me back away from you was like a slap to the face, huh? Well, Babygirl that’s the same feeling I’ve been dealing with all damn day. It’s a fucking slap to the face to know every word I said you took it and tossed it back at me. Basically telling me to kiss yo’ ass  because you were going to do whatever you wanted to do no matter how much fucking danger it would put you in.” For the first time since she met Jermaine, LaToya saw a new emotion. Hurt. He closed his eyes tightly, his jaw working under his skin. “Jermaine-” “Nah. Let me talk. You have done enough for the day don’t you think? I mean did it ever register in that damn brain of yours that Zanea could possibly be there. LaToya she wanted you. You were her target and today she could have shot. Don’t you see how stupid you look after all this?” “How do I look stupid Jermaine? Yes I shouldn’t have left, but damn man I didn’t even know she knew where I lived. You’re a man who is suppose to keep his private life private yet you made it easy enough for your ex get my address. Right now we’re both at blame. Don’t start point fingers!” “Zanea is a bright girl-” “And I’m not huh?” “At the moment not very much.” “Well you can go spent another hour or two in her hotel room then. Cause only God knows what went down inside that room once the door closed.” “What are you assuming, LaToya?” “I can’t assume anything that is proved to be factual, Cole. I admitted to my fuck up and I’m sorry. All day you gave me a cold shoulder, didn’t say one thing to me the entire day, but then you spend two hours with your ex. The same person, who I remember you saying had me as a target, meaning she wanted me died. Yet you love me, huh? Save the bullshit for your next girl.” “Be careful, Babygirl. Your insecurities are showing.” “If I have them it’s because of you. I was perfectly fine before you. But it’s nice you finally pointed out your biggest fuck up.” She couldn’t let the tears that blurred her vision fall. Her throat burnt as she held them back from him. He didn’t deserve that much from her. LaToya couldn’t allow her weakness to be shown. “You questioning things I don’t think you need to be questioning. Me for one.” “I can say the same for you.” “Babygirl,” his voice trailed off for a moment. This isn’t how he had expected his day to end. At all. “Zanea is in need for help. Help that I can’t nor will I give her. I’m sorry if I made it seem as if something went down in that hotel room, but trust me I wouldn’t do that to you. Not you, LaToya.” “You really showed me a different Jermaine today.” “You scared me today.” “Why can’t anyone see that I just wanted to go home? It was meant to be this serious. I didn’t know Zanea even knew where I lived.”

“Long time ago, if I remember correctly we had this conversation and I told you where home was. Home is here, LaToya. Stop fucking running from me!”

“I wasn’t running from you. But fine. I get it, okay? I messed up. Stop making me feel worst than I already am.” What felt like forever pasted between the two of them as Jermaine starred down at her. He could tell he was only making it worst with constantly drilling it into her mind to remember, but he did that for a reason. Maybe next time she’ll remember this moment and avoid the situation. Then again there won’t be next time. He hopes to scare her enough to she doesn’t do it again. But he had one more thing to discuss. Then he’ll allow them to make up. He couldn’t stay mad forever, but he won’t make it easy either. “What’s with you questioning my love?” “Who said I was?” “I heard you. It’s all in your tone. So what’s up?” Sighing she figured it time. Maybe after this conversation they’ll have nothing but easy days. At least days easier than this one. “Why you say it? I mean why then? Why wait until Zanea is threatening my life to confess?” “Are you fucking serious?” “Deadass. Why did you?” Jermaine hadn’t even thought of it in that light. He had been planning to say it, but never was it the right time. He couldn’t just blurt out he loved her. Knowing her she wouldn’t even believe him. Plus he had the email about the being ring final for days and he knew it was now or never. He couldn’t just pop up with a ring and had not ever told he loved her. Everything truly felt right to him. Never being in a real relationship he figured it was fine. Zanea had opened up a hole for him to push though and he took it. Not thinking much of it. Especially not when she said it back. “I’ve known that I love you for a while now,” Jermaine turned to walk to the tub and he settled on the side of it. LaToya hopped on the counter, getting as comfortable as she could on its edge. “Please don’t let the timing get the best of the situation. Like always I’m about to brutally honest with what I say next. But just be glad I said it at all, Babygirl. Love is foreign to me. Outside of my mother, sister and my boys it’s not said. No you’re not my submissive which is also foreign. There’s a lot I have to get used to and I plan to. Me saying I love you wasn’t because of some drastic change. I knew I loved you just as long as you’ve loved me. Did Zanea make open my eyes? Give me that push? Damn right. But I’m a man. It’s kind of what we need to say those words. I love you and if I have to say it everyday then I will. But you’re honesty and I repeat, questioning something I don’t think you need to question.” “Chance told me to hold on.” “You need to. Correction; you will hold on.” “You scare me at times. You’re controlling, possessive, harsh, have a quick temper, and have several stalker bones in your body.” “But I’m also protective and territorial. Two things as a man I can admit.” He shrugged his shoulders as he replied to her. Jermaine knew what he was. He knew he was overbearing at times, but he also knew she’ll get used to it and eventually be grateful for it. “I love you, Babygirl. But I won’t even let you get in my way of me and you.” “That’s terrifying.” “You love it so stop playing mind games. Trust me it’s going to get tiring.” Hopping down, LaToya was officially done. Knowing deep down tonight was suppose to end with WW3 had her shaking earlier, but now she was at some ease. She couldn’t tell if Jermaine was fully okay with her, but she knew for the next couple days not to push any buttons. “You not sleeping in here either. Get your stuff.” Crazy enough she was already an step ahead of him. “17, nigga!” Jermaine’s voice sounded throughout his indoor basketball court as he passed the ball to his opponent and friend, Ced. “Y'all should just give up.” Jermaine smirked as he heard his team partner, IB. “Nah. ‘Cause y'all niggas cheating. Fuck boys!” Mike went up for a layup easily giving his team another point.

It was a simple game of 21. Two teams consisting of Jermaine and Ibrahim, his friend since FIU and business partner. Then Ced and Mike also his two of his boys. He met IB playing ball, just like now, except they played against each other then. Between trash talk and random hits they strangely became close.  Michael and Cedric were around since childhood. “How the fuck?” “How in the hell y'all got 17 when we got 9?” “Ced. You short, b.” Jermaine doubled over in laugher at IB. He was right though. Ced had a good height on him, but he wasn’t as tall as the two playing against him leaving Mike to make most points. “Man fuck both of y'all. Time out.” “Just give up. Y'all lost already it’s cool though.” “The fuck you mean? We got this, alright? My partner asked for a break so give his ass one. You know his legs short and shit then he doing all this damn running. Let 'em relax, man.” Mike reached his hand out to shake Ced’s shoulder, but his teammate shrugged him off. “Fuck you, Mike. Real shit man.” Jermaine and IB laughed as they watched the exchange between their friends. This always happens when the group of boys get together. Even though it was a few missing today this was still their clique. “Aye, Ced! We can always rematch later.” “Nah. We gon’ come up today.” Picking up his phone, Jermaine entered the pin password before he checked his email. Today was stressful to say the least. One reason his boys ended up at his house was because we wanted to forget it. And not to mention all shit talking Mike did over the phone. Now it was business related. The drainage coming from investments was his newest threat. Plus, Chance and he had been exchanging words about Zanea’s progress but he was honesty tired of hearing it. If there was anyone he wanted hurt it was her. Yeah last night he admitted that she helped him recognize love, but that’s it. She was still on his shit list. “Man I’m hungry. Cole what’s in this damn house to eat?” “Nothing. Go home and eat nigga.” “No…..that’s stupid anyway. Why would I  go all the way home when I’m here?” “Cause yo ass don’t buy groceries here.” “LaToya will cook for us then.” Just as Jermaine started to laugh or better yet respond he noticed her standing at the other end of the court. He nodded his head in her direction, knowing she was probably second guessing the decision. Surely enough she started her way to them. The ball was passed to her and thankfully her mind worked quickly. Catching it, LaToya smirked at Ced who had tossed it to her. “Shoot.” Jermaine watched as she laughed at him, then shook her head. “Nope, sorry. I don’t know how to play.” “You wasn’t suppose to let him know that. You 'posed to show off.” “I rather tell the truth then potentially embarrassing myself.” Unfortunately she asked the wrong person. Mike and Ced were the two who didn’t let anything go easy. That’s why they always played on the same team or were together. If it wasn’t for IB interrupting them, she most likely would have been there for hours talking to them. “Don’t mind them, LaToya. I’m IB. You obviously know these two assholes. But the lightbright one is Ced or Shorter Jermaine and the dark skin dude is Mike.” LaToya held out her hand, but both decided that was too professional. They grabbed her, giving bear  hugs regardless of their sweaty bodies. “Alright that’s it. Bye now. IB good game, bruh. Come here, Babygirl.” Jermaine got up from his seat on the bleachers as he approached LaToya. “Man hell no. We is hungry.” “Y'all hungry?” LaToya felt Jermaine’s hands on her waist, but at the moment she was looking at Mike who gave the best puppy eyes. “Yes LaToya. Can you please cook something for us?"  "The answer ain’t about to change cause you ask her. Mike you hungry go home and cook. IB you got a girl tell her you need food. And Ced……….I don’t know what to say about you, man.” “Now why you do that to me, Cole?” “Don’t nobody ever know what’s going on with you. One minute you with the girl, the next you inviting some random chick over.” IB chimed in and just like that Jermaine knew his work was done. Pulling her to the side, in a corner, Jermaine’s hands lowered until he was palming her ass. His lips hovered over hers as he waited for her to met him half way. Once she did, he went in fully. His grip tighten on her the deeper they kissed. LaToya’s hand griped his shirt, in admit to stop him, but instead she started to pull him closer. Thankfully she had some will power and respect left to push them apart. Her eyes darted to the boys but they were all still discussing Cedric’s love triangles. “Don’t worry about them. Look at me, Babygirl.” Eventually LaToya pulled away from the boys direction and gave Jermaine her full attention. “Why won’t you feed them, J?” “They all got houses. Mike hungry ass got the biggest one out of all of us. He’ll be alright. Besides I ain’t hungry. Not for food no ways.”

“That’s no surprise.” Shrugging Jermaine, slapped her ass. “You owe me a lunch from yesterday.” “I do, but now you have to wait for your boys to leave.” “That’s simple, I’ll get them out. You down for a little play though?” Since the minute LaToya got in his car with him for the drive yesterday he had the craziest image in his head. Today he’ll act it out as her punishment. “Yeah.” “Good. You got an hour to get yourself ready. Met me in the room.” LaToya nodded as she backed out his embrace. Licking over her lips, her eyes moved up and down his body before she turned to leave. “Don’t be late.” Jermaine said as his hand connected with her ass again. They both knew that he wasn’t done tonight. Once again she nodded and rushed off the basketball court andout the room. She didn’t even tell the other boys goodbye as she walked the halls of the house, anticipation running through her veins. Jermaine turned to the three men, who were now on IB’s case. Everyone pushed him to marry his girlfriend of ten years, but let him tell it they were happy as an ordinary couple. “Alright. Bye for real.” He was lying earlier about having shit to do, but now he was serious. There’s was something needing his action.

Chapter 46

Chris

I stirred in my sleep as I felt somebody climbing on top of me. I opened my eyes a little and seen it was Avery. She was butt ass naked.

“Chrisssss please wake up. Like right now I need you so badly.” I licked my lips and rubbed my eyes.

“What’s up baby. I’m woke.” Avery been horny as hell these last couple days. It’s like she go a couple weeks without the dick then when she get some she be horny for the next few weeks. But aye I ain’t complaining. She throwing the pussy my way I’m catching it every single time. She ran her hands down my chest and into my boxers.

“Mmmm fuck Ave. Take them off and get on it.” She nodded and quickly pulled them off. Just as she was about to slide down on my swollen dick Jayla started banging on the door.

“Mommy! I’m bleeding! Help!” Avery groaned loudly. I smacked my lips as she climbed off me.

“I’m sorry baby.” She put her robe on as I got up and walked into the bathroom, turning on the shower. Once again I get left with a hard ass dick.

After showering and getting dressed I went downstairs and seen Jayla sitting on the steps with Prince. She looked at me and smiled.

“Hi daddy. How did you sleep?” I nodded. If she only knew what she did.

“I slept fine princess. How did you sleep?”

“I slept like a baby.” I chuckled and kissed her head. I looked at Prince as he barked at me, making me think about what happened and what I found.

“Jay go get my phone please.” She jumped up and ran upstairs. Avery came walking out the kitchen.

“Hey I made breakfast. Your plate is on the table.” I smiled and kissed her head.

“Thanks babe but I have go handle some business real quick. Can you put it up for me please.”

“Here you daddy.” Jay said handing me my phone. I smiled and kissed her cheek.

“Thanks baby girl.”

“Where you have to go?” Avery asked. I slipped my shoes on.

“I have to go see Trey. I’ll be back babe.” I kissed her lips, grabbed my keys and walked out the house. I got in my car and sped off. If this nigga Drake is back like I think he is then me and Trey really need to be ready just in case he tries some shit again.

Trey

I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl and the cereal. Adrienne came and picked up Ariana last night and momma went out with her friends for some brunch thing so I have the house to myself.

“Yo Trey.” At least I thought I did.

“I’m in the kitchen.” I poured the cereal and grabbed the milk out the fridge. I looked up as Chris walked in the kitchen.

“Wassup?” He sat at the island.

“We have a problem. I think Drake is back.” I stopped what I was doing and looked at him.

“What makes you think that?” He pulled a note out and handed it to me. It said ‘I’m Back’.

“Where did you get this from?” I looked at him.

“Last night prince went missing, so I went out to look for him and when I found him he had that attached to his collar. It can’t be nobody else.” I nodded and ran my hands over my face.

“You tell Avery?”

“What, fuck no. She would flip out. I don’t need her stressing right now. But now that we know that he’s back we can take all the steps we need to take, to make sure the girls and the kids are safe.” He was right.

“I need to go over to the house and check on Adrienne and Ariana.” I ran upstairs and grabbed a shirt, throwing it on. I put a pair of shoes on and grabbed my keys, I made my way back downstairs.

“You coming bruh?” I asked Chris. He got up and walked to the door.

“Yeah I’m gonna follow behind you.” I nodded and we made our way out the house. I got in my car and sped all the way to my house. I be damned if I let anything happen to my family again. Adrienne can be mad all she wants about this stupid ass situation but I’m not gonna let her or my daughter be put in danger. Once I pulled up the house me and Chris both got out our cars and went into the house.

“Adrienne!” I ran upstairs into the room.

“Adrienne.” She jumped as she walked out the bathroom wrapping a towel around her.

“Trey what the fuck do you want. I told you I didn’t want to see you. Get the hell out.” I shook my head. “Where is Ariana?” I said looking in the bed.

“She’s in her room.” I walked out the room, making my way into Ariana’s room. I looked in her crib, she was sleep. I smiled and kissed her head, pulling her blankets up on her. I walked out her room to see Adrienne standing in the hallway.

“What the fuck is wrong with you huh.” I sighed.

“Listen I need to know everywhere and everything that you do okay. Please don’t fight me right now AB.”

“I don’t have time for your bullshit today man. You want to know everything I do but I wasn’t informed on everything you was doing. You fucked some bitch!”

“Adrienne please just trust me right now okay.”

“Nah I’m not trusting shit. I trusted you too many times and look where were at. You don’t deserve my trust.”

“Fuck man. Why you always gotta make shit difficult.”

“Why you have to be a lying ass dog huh. You made me this way.” I shook my head and walked past her and made my way downstairs. If she don’t wanna listen to me then I’m gonna be forced to have her followed and watched while I’m not here.

Adrienne

After Trey left I got dressed, he wanted to take Ariana with him so I let him. My friend Dre wanted me to come out with him so that’s what I was going to do. I have a lot going on right now and just getting away with a good friend that gives good vibes is just what I need. I heard the doorbell ring, making me get excited. I sprayed some perfume on and went downstairs and opened the door. I smiled at Dre.

“Well don’t you look mighty nice mami.” I smiled and licked my lips. “You look good as well. You ready to go?” He nodded and put his hand out for me to take, I grabbed it and walked outside with him. He opened his door for me and I got in. I hope tonight is perfect so I can get my mind off all the bullshit I have going on.

Avery I was walking around Momma J’s house trying to figure out ideas for my baby shower. Adrienne, momma J and momma April are throwing it but I at least want some say of what’s going on there. So they decided to let me pick the colors. Soooo since nobody but me, Chris and Jayla knows oh yeah and momma J about the gender, oh yeah Jay ran her mouth and spilled all the beans to Momma. Swear that little girl can’t keep a secret to save her life. But yeah so since we’re the only ones that know about it I’m trying to think of neutral colors and it’s freaking hard. “Avery how about green and yellow?” Momma J suggested. I sat on the couch and laid back. “Hmmmm idk. I don’t really like green. Ooooo what about Blue and Yellow.” Chris walked in the house with Jay. “I don’t like yellow.” I looked at him. They both were all wet. “What the hell happened to yall?” Jay laughed. “Me and daddy had a water fight and I won.” I looked at momma J. “This is what I deal with. And Christopher it’s not about what you want it’s about me and the baby and I want Blue and Yellow.” Momma J smiled and wrote it down. “Alright baby girl blue and yellow it is. Come on Jay lets go get you changed. And Christopher don’t sit your wet ass on my couch boy.” I laughed a little. Jay and momma went upstairs and I looked at Chris. He looked so sexy right now with all the water dripping down him. He pulled his shirt off and I bit my lip. He looked at me and smirked. “Aye come on let’s go down into the basement into the room she don’t use.” I got up and grabbed his hand. Shit he ain’t gotta tell me twice. We walked into the room and he picked me up, pinning me against the door, my lips crashed into his and he pulled my shirt off. “Damn I need you baby.” I moaned out as he started kissing on my neck. “I know. Imma give it to you. Just gotta be careful not to hurt my baby.” I smiled. Only Chris would think about the baby right now when we’re getting ready to fuck. He pulled my shorts off and pulls his down. The way his hands were moving all over my body was driving me crazy I couldn’t take it. He pulled my panties off and slid inside me causing me to scream a little. “Shhhhh babe gotta try to keep it down.” I put my face in his neck as he started thrusting his hips into mine, he pushed my legs open more as he gave me all of him. I rolled my hips and threw my head back. He left a trail of kisses down my neck and chest. “Yessssssss baby. Ahhhhh fuck!” He groaned and went faster. “Momma gon hear you Avery.” He gripped my ass and went deeper. I dug my nails into his back and bit my lip. “Mommy, daddy?” My eyes and head shot over to the door. Jayla was standing there. “Oh my goodness! Jayla go upstairs!” She ran away from the door. I put my hands over my face. “Fuck man. Can’t ever bust a nut.” He put me down and went into the bathroom, coming back out with a washcloth he handed it to me. I cleaned myself up and put my clothes back on. Well this is just great. We both went upstairs and seen Jay sitting on the couch with momma. Momma looked at us and shook her head. “Jayla we need to have a talk.” I said sitting down. Chris sat by me. “Imma leave yall to talk to her.” We nodded as momma got up and walked away. I cleared my throat. “Mommy, daddy are you guys mad at me.” I sighed. “Hell yeah.” Chris mumbled lowly. I gently elbowed him. “No we’re not.” “What were you guys doing. Why was mommy screaming?” Chris chuckled. “Listen baby girl when two people, grown people love each other they do things that helps them express their love for each other.” She nodded. “You shouldn’t have seen what you saw baby girl and were sorry.” She got up and hugged us.

Trey I watched Adrienne as she got out the car with some nigga and walked inside a restaurant with him. I sighed and rubbed my head. She really thinks I slept with that girl man. She going to feel real stupid when she find out I didn’t and she fucking with another nigga. Wait what if this is what she wanted the whole time. What if she believes me but just ain’t saying that because she wants to fuck with other niggas. She’s a straight bitch if that’s what she’s doing. I looked at my boy Alex as he walked past the car, I nodded at him as he went inside the restaurant. I need all eyes on Adrienne since Drake is trying to make a comeback and since she don’t wanna cooperate and let me keep her safe imma just have to have her ass followed. After about 2 hours of waiting, I slowly started drifting to sleep. Just as I was falling into a deep sleep, someone started banging on the window. My eyes shot open to see who it was and it was this nigga Alex. For a second, I thought I was caught and Adrienne found out I was following her. I rolled the windows down and sat up looking at Alex.

“Nigga you almost got your head blown off banging on my damn windows like that fuck is wrong with you.” I said shaking my head and starting the car.

“My bad bruh the doors was locked but aye wasn’t no sign of that bitch nigga Drake.” Alex said. I nodded.

“Good, just because he wasn’t here today don’t mean he won’t come around. Imma have to follow her every place she go. Now that we got that out the way, what went down in the restaurant? Anything I should know about?” I rubbed my head preparing for any information he had for me.

“Nah they was just talking for the most part. She was laughing and shit you know how females are. That nigga was being thirsty as fuck too, tryna touch on her and shit.” I chuckled and took in a deep breath. Even though it wasn’t much, it was enough to piss me the fuck off. The fact that everything was good just about a week ago then all this shit happened. I lost my girl and now she entertaining some random ass nigga. I leaned over towards the glove department, pulling out some money handing it to Alex.

“Good looking out my nigga. I’m bout to go take care of this shit right now.” He dapped me and went over to his car. I waited a little bit til I seen Adrienne drive off to follow her home. Ole boy better be lucky he wasn’t going back to the house, let me catch that nigga at my house again best believe he won’t be back. As we pulled up to the house, I wasted no time getting out the car.

“Aye Adrienne!” She looked back at me and rolled her eyes.

“Go home Trey!” She went inside the house and I was right behind her.

“Who the fuck was the nigga? You fucking him now!?” She ignored me. “I know you hear me talking to you Adrienne. Who the fuck was that?”

“First off lower your voice, Don’t come into my house talking to me like I’m your kid alright. That’s my damn friend chill the fuck out and stop following me. I don’t follow you. I could care less what you do to be honest, you ain’t my problem anymore.”

“You think I believe that shit? You letting that nigga touch up on you and shit. You let every nigga do that?” I said getting into her face. I was mad as fuck right now. She pushed me back and I snatched her against the wall, picking her up.

“Put me down Trey! Damn. Just leave me alone. Arianna isn’t here y-..” I shut her up with a kiss. I stop listening to what she was saying a while ago. I would never cheat on Adrienne and she been holding out on a nigga. It always turned me on when we started arguing because it always led to some good ass makeup sex. She didn’t fight me back so I knew she wanted it just as much as I did. I kissed on all her favorite places, especially her neck. I swirled my tongue around and roughly kissed her neck. Awe yeah, I was getting in this pussy today.

Adrienne

I bit my lip in pleasure as Trey sucked on my neck. The moans coming from my mouth said it all, that I missed him. Pushing him down on the couch I got on top of him kissing from his lips down to his neck, making a trail down his chest. Reaching down into his sweats, I rubbed him. I watched carefully as he undressed me fully, I did the same to him. He kiss down my chest and laid me back against the couch, pushing my thighs up. He opened them wide and looked up at me. We stared at eachother for a minute. Silence fell through the room but our eyes were speaking loud enough.

“Damn.” I whispered as he buried his head between my thighs and flicked his tongue up and down against my clit.

“Shit Trey.” I moaned grinding my hips into his face. I put my head back and moaned like crazy.

“What’s my name?” He said in the sexiest tone I’ve ever heard.

“Ahhh fuck daddy, I’m cumming.” I moaned out as I exploded into his mouth. My hips rolled as I felt his lips licking up every spot. He sat up a little, getting in missionary position.

“Oh fuck!” I yelled as he roughly entered me without any warning. I gripped onto the cushion of the couch.

“This my shit right Adrienne?” He chuckled and smacked my ass, pumping at a faster pace.

“Imma ask you again. Is this my shit?” He asked ramming himself into me.

“Oh fuck baby, yes this is yours baby. All yours!” I yelled out trying to catching my breath.

“Damn babe.” He grunted a little.

“Don’t stop.” I moaned as my eyes rolled to the back of my head. I dug my nails deep into his back and scratched him.

“Fuck girl. Mark me up.” He went deeper making me arch my back.

“Ah shit right there.” He quickly flipped us over making me ride him.

“Sexy ass.” I moaned placing my hands on his chest bouncing up and down.

“Fuck.” I had Trey right where I wanted him. Clenching my walls around his dick I watched as he clenched his jaw and quickly slapped my thighs.

“Don’t do that shit.” I ignored him.

“Better not give my shit away.” He said, gripping my waist tighter to slam himself deep inside me.

“Fuck me!” I screamed out. “Tremaineeeeeeee!” I whimpered. My legs was trembling and my bottom lip was becoming sore from me biting it so hard. “Shit daddy! I’m bout to cum!”

“Wait for me baby.” I waited for him as long as I could before I busted all over him. Not too long after he came behind me, his breath hot on my neck.

“Mmmmmm I love you so much Adrienne.” Trey said kissing my neck softly after making sure to leave a hickey.

“Mhm.” I responded in return, grabbing the cover throwing it over us. “I love you too.” I felt his smirk against my neck. I chuckled and shook my head a little, yawning in the process. I hope he doesn’t think this was makeup sex because I’m still mad. This isn’t gonna fix the situation, if anything it was just something to let some anger and aggression out.

Chapter 16: In Our Own Eyes

“Lies require commitment.”

           ~Veronica Roth

August 18, 2013

“Arms up, baby boy!” I cooed, tickling Nas’ tummy before I pulled a fresh t-shirt over his head. “Did you put your bath towel in Auntie’s hamper like I said?”

“Yes, Mommy. Are we going to Daddy’s house now?”

“Why do you always want to go over his house? Can’t we just hang out for a day?” Standing up, I tossed a bottle of baby lotion back into his overnight bag. He was finally ready to go. “Don’t you want to be with Mommy?”

“But I like when Daddy’s with us,” he calmly protested.

“Fine, Nasir. You can go over his house and stay there until whenever,” I sighed. I knew it was really just that he hated being around Elle and Dom’s place was free of her. He wasn’t even the same with Mama anymore.

“Don’t get all jealous now, Kenya. I told you sharing was part of the deal,” Ava scolded, walking into the bedroom with half a sandwich in her hand. “Nassy, baby, go watch cartoons for a minute.”

Sixteen: Mrs. Cole

LaToya’s eyes peered up at the floor-to-ceiling windows as she rolled over in the messy bed. Her eyes roamed the room looking for the missing man who was just beside her hours ago, but he was now long gone. This had been her second time waking up, but hopefully this time she’ll actually stay woke. The first was forced as Jermaine’s touch were the reason she was awaken. He got his early morning breakfast and some before she fell back asleep. In that time he obviously got up  to start his day.

Pushing the covers off her body, LaToya stretched before walking to the bathroom. Grabbing all her necessitates before closing the door behind her. A quick shower, hygiene equipment, and a messy ponytail were her things to check off the list. Before going downstairs LaToya got a pair of denim shorts and her oversized 2005 throwback t-shirt of music entertainment, slipping the clothes on along with a matching panty and bra set underneath. Once the bed was made and her phone in hand she walked downstairs to the kitchen.

Like always there was no sound coming from the area. Most of the time she was the only one to do anything in the kitchen. Jermaine had long let go of the house safe. When LaToya mentioned it, he only shrugged it off and from that point she let it go. It didn’t bother her anyways. If she was going to be here as much as  Jermaine says then it should be her duty. Never had she clean such a house, but it would be fine. Besides after Zanea was found it would be the two of them again.

Opening the door for the refrigerator her eyes roamed the options for something to cook. It was well past one o'clock and even though she’ll always be the spoke person for breakfast at anytime of the day; that wasn’t happening right then. She needed something tasteful, simple, and lasting. Also something that’ll make Jermaine happy. At least happy enough for him to say yes about her going to her home for a few hours; alone. LaToya knew she was pushing it with the no security request, but she highly doubt something would happen.

If that was the case she needed to find him and seek his request. Closing the door, she picked up her phone, thinking was it smarter or lazier to text him inside of going to actually look for him.

“I’ll go look.” Pushing off from the counter, LaToya exited the kitchen and round the corner to his office and gym area. She never seem in the gym, but it was good work equipment that even she used before.

“Terrance have you seen Jermaine?” Soon as she addressed him as “Jermaine”, LaToya mentally kicked herself. There had to be a mental note made that these weren’t his friends.

“He’s in his office, Mrs. Cole.” Withdrawing her surprise LaToya nodded and walked around him. Mrs. Cole? When did I become Mrs. Cole? Just out of of habit her eyes darted to her left hand and there it was empty.  But today it didn’t matter. She needed a happy Jermaine so he could say yes.

Knocking softly, there was a pause until she heard him say come in. Slowly opening the door, she was careful of her actions. Just from his voice you could tell he was stressed.

“J.”

Their eyes connected the second his was removed from the computer. He had dressed in a pair of cargo pants and a black Polo shirt with matching Polo socks. She could only wonder how sleep she was while he did all the moving this morning. He even had on a Rolex on.

“Babygirl come here.”

Shaking her head, LaToya made sure to stop at the head of his desk. The facial expressions he wore was priceless.

“I’m just here for request.”

“Request for what, Babygirl?”

“Lunch. What would Sir like to eat?”

“Whatever Babygirl makes.” She needed ideas. Something he’s been wanting for weeks and couldn’t have. Something that’s going to get her that yes. “Like?”

“Burgers and fries.”

“Good.” Turning she walked out the room, but before the door could close his arms were wrapped around her.

“But you first.”

“Not now.”

“Why not?”

“I got to cook, babe. Later.” She gave him a deep kiss, savoring his taste before she walked out, leaving him to his work.

Once again her and Terrance seen one another once again and she offered a burger, but as figured he declined. He kept his relationship with her professional and she wondered was it because of the “Mrs. Cole” situation.

Back in the kitchen, her phone was plugged into the Beats by Dr. Dre Beatbox Portable as her R&B mix to flow through out her cooking orders. First the burgers were prepared as they were cooked on the indoor grill,  then half way of their cooking process the fries were out in vegetable oil to fry.

It was in the mist of her fixing his burger that Jermaine walked in. His arms went around her waist as they swayed to the beat of Donell Jones’ Where I Wanna Be. She could hear the low hum of his voice as the song played on. His arms tighten as he tried to hit certain notes making her laugh at his attempts.

By the time it went off, LaToya was handing his plate over. The hair of his beard tickle her neck as he kissed her in an attempt to speak his thank you.

Backing away Jermaine placed his and hers plates on the counter as he grabbed himself a shot glass from the end of his kitchen. The cabinet of liquor bottles caught his attention and he instantly went for the bottle that was considered his favorite since he was a teenager.

LaToya eyes him as he took a seat at the counter, pouring the brown substances until it filled the cup at its rim. The first shot was taken back with no mercy and the next he allowed himself to sip. All the time,  LaToya stood with her hip against the kitchen island, watching him. In her hand was one of his Coke cans and a bottle of water. Nothing compared to his.

“Come eat.”

“Everything alright?”

For some reason she needed clarification that he was okay. Today started great; she’ll like it to end that way too.

“Nope.”

“What’s wrong?”

“You’re not eating. And I’m trying to be polite and wait for you, but I’m starving. So come.”

Even with that she stood her ground for a while. Her eyes moved around him until he gave in and looked at her. Jermaine knew by know he couldn’t lie to her with a straight face so he hoped for once she did as told and ate her food with no questions asked.

Reaching across the island LaToya placed the drinks on the counter before making her way to the stool. Jermaine had already pulled her seat closer to him before she sat, but nothing was said.

For a while they are in silence. The only sound coming from the room was her phone as the music played. Every now and then a small voice filled them as they sung alone, but for the most part they sat silent. The good thing was it was a comfort silence. Most of the time his eyes were locked on her as he ate his burger, taking slips from the Hennessey in his cup. Refills happen constantly, but she knew he were no where near his drunken state.

When Jermaine got up for seconds that’s when she realized that it was now or never. He had some alcohol in his system but not enough. Still she had to do it now.

“Jermaine.”

“Yes?.”

“I need to go back to my house.”

“For what?”

“Some stuff for Vanessa.” She hated lying to him and was glad his back was turned to her as he added his favorites to his burger.

“I guess so. But I gotta a meeting-”

“No it’s fine. I can go alone.”

“No you can’t. I’ll call Grey up.”

“Jermaine I’ll be fine.”

Shaking his head, Jermaine took a seat, refilling his cup again.

“You got one chance to be alone. And you choose that for yesterday. Now someone is with you at all times.”

“That wasn’t part of the deal.”

“Fuck that deal. I’m not spending you anywhere alone.” Slumping back in her seat, the thought of running out came to mind, but she dismissed it quickly. That was childish and it honesty wasn’t that serious. She just simply wanted an hour or so to herself, in her house.

Letting out a breath, LaToya got up, threw away her trashed, washed the plate and cup she used and now empty drainer from the fries. By the time she was walking out Jermaine was still getting up, hopefully to follow in her steps and not just leave his dirty utensils in the stink.

The house had several rooms of entertainment including a basketball court, full arcade, theater, and a indoor swimming pool. Not feeling the need to get wet was out, she couldn’t play ball to save her life, and the theater had recent memories of the two was still fresh in her mind which only left the arcade.

Taking the stairs to the second floor, she followed the path Jermaine had once showed her. The arcade sat on its on hall with two double-wood doors for entrance and exit moves. The inside was lowly lit with the lights from games and different stations lighting the way. Everything you could imagine was here. And the best is you didn’t spend a dime on it.

Awhile LaToya played her heart out; Jermaine dropped his dish in the sink, stashed the bottle  away and got a bottle of the Fiji Water. Today was important and even though he was having a mini celebration right now in a few days he planned to be a changed man.

As he closed the door behind him, he sent a text to his sister reminding her to get up and get dressed. His appointment wasn’t one that he’ll be late for. If she wasn’t there when he got there; she’ll be left.

Inside his closet he picked put an Italian suit piece, ditching the jacket and vest. He picked out a pair of black Loafers to wear then went to the bathroom to freshen up in the shower. He washed up with his Dove Men+Care Aqua soap bar before washing out his hair and his beard, then got out to dry off. With only ten minutes to spare he was ready in five. The Italian suit pants on, his matching black button shirt, a black leather belt, and then the shoes. The Polo cologne was last to be applied before Jermaine put his phone and wallet in his pockets to leave.

As he took the stairs he stopped on the second floor to check on LaToya, who was now walking around, looking and analyzing each game now. He could tell she was upset with him, but he had good reasons for everything. Her going to her house alone didn’t sit right with him and the thought alone made him want to shake some common sense into her.

“Babygirl.”

Looking up from the Wheel of Fortune game, LaToya gave him, her full attention. She licked over her  lips as her glaze traveled him. A small smile was on her face, but quickly disappeared when they locked eyes again.

“What?”

“Don’t be mad.”

“I’m not.”

“Come give me a kiss then.”

“I’m busy. Aren’t you suppose to be heading out anyway?”

He watched as she pressed the green start button and how the system started up for her. Within seconds she was focused on her term, trying to figure it out.

“Yeah. I’ll be back though.”

“Alright.”

In the middle of her picking her vowels the game shut down. Jermaine’s hand rest on the emergency stop option as he starred at her.

“Stop being stubborn. You either go back to your house with someone or you stay here.”

“I know that.”

Turning to leave, Jermaine yelled out he’ll see her later and was out the door. She wouldn’t ruin today for him. He waited since New Years morning for this moment. Rather she’s mad or not it’s happening.

He grabbed the keys to the G-Class truck and locked up behind him. Terrance was stationed at the house since this was where LaToya was. Jermaine, himself didn’t need protecting it was his girl who needed it when he wasn’t around. He knew once he and Zanea laid eyes on each other their original connected would overpower her.

The ride to downtown Miami was one of ease. He took the interstate route the entire way, getting off once he spotted the sign for Miami-Dade College. It was only a little after 2:30 when he pulled into an parking space. The appointment wasn’t for at least another ten minutes, but now he needed to think of an extra piece just to hear back in good spirits.

Thankfully for his sister, Samantha pulled up soon as he was getting out. She dressed casually in a pair of boyfriend jeans, a FIU sports shirt, and black combat boots. Her long black waves of hair was pulled into a ponytail and the only jewelry she wore was a pair of diamond earrings.

“It’s about time.”

“Jermaine you just getting here. What you talking about?”

“And? You suppose to beat me here.”

“Well I’m sorry, big brother. Maybe next time I’ll do better.”

“Ain’t next time for this. But please do better with yourself.”

This time, after his slick remark, he hugged her. They barely got to see each other. Why? Just because. Jermaine blamed it on work, while Samantha simply said it was his fault. Still they conversed with one another. She was actually the first one to know about his plan.

“Whatever. You told her yet?”

“Nope. Making it a surprise. I mean, really Sam, why would I?”

“Well, gee. I don’t know Jermaine maybe because you two just got back together and she just may not be ready.”

Shaking his head, Jermaine pulled one of the entrance doors open allowing his sister to walk in first.

He didn’t want to hear she wasn’t ready. It would only make this process harder to work with. For so long he has been planning, designing, and crafting and the last thing he wants to hear is someone say she needs time or better yet hear her say no.

“Cole! What’s up man? You came to see the finished product, right?”

“Yes!” Before he could answer Samantha was heard rushing up to Rodriguez, a specialist in jewelry designing. The only reason Jermaine went to him instead of some known name around Miami was because of loyalty. Rodriguez made sure he did his best work. It may take longer, cost more, but it’s worth it.

“I guess so.”

“Alright. C'mon let’s go in the back then.”

Jermaine followed behind his overly happy sister, who he could have sworn was worst than his mother in a situation like this, and Rodriguez. The jeweler lead them through a set of doors with the words: “showcase” engraved on each. He didn’t stop until he was standing in front of a crystal glass counter with lights decorating the inside and outside.

Samantha allowed Jermaine to step up first as he eyed the piece of jewelry. His face showed his speechless expression. His eyes having a twinkle in them as he stared.

A Light Pink “SI2 Emerald Cut” Diamond Halo Ring glowed back him. The diamonds shined as the light balanced off them. Carefully he picked it up, holding the size six ring in between his thumb and forefinger.

“It’s so gorgeous. Good job, Rod.” Samantha’s voice was low, but Jermaine and Rodriguez both heard her. And he couldn’t agree more. Everything about it was perfection to him.

“Thanks, Sam. I appreciate it. Cole. You liking it?”

“I fucking love it.”

The platinum 18k rose gold double diamond ring weight in at 0.36ct, cut into an emerald diamond. The side diamonds were cut into silver round brilliant diamonds. The ring itself was shades of light pink in some light and faint paint in dark light. It’s diamond commented it color and gave it the extra pop of style.

When Jermaine was designing it he didn’t know it’ll be this perfect. All he knew was the old sayig: diamonds are a girl’s best friend. So he wanted tons of them. The band of the ring had to be covered in them and also the center piece. When he went back two weeks later for the draw out plans; Jermaine saw that Rodriguez had a double diamond center added.  Right then he knew it was the one and told Rodriguez to start.

Crazy enough not even six weeks later he was postponing the process. It was literally only two steps left and the ring would be in his hand. Now it’s finished and it’s a surreal moment.

“A mill right?”

“Yeah, man.” Jermaine nodded at the jeweler who walked over to a stack of receipts. He wasn’t crazy enough to walk with a million dollars on him so he simply handed over his card. With the no limit advantage he could easily make the purchase of the ring.

“I need another piece, but I’m getting it from out front.”

“Alright. Let me wrap and box this and I’ll met y'all out there.”

Jermaine signaled for Samantha, who wore the biggest kool-aid smile, to walk ahead of him out of the room.

“I’m ready to get married and pampered.”

“Ion know why when I’m just going to run his weak ass off.” Jermaine replied as he looked over two identical matching tennis bracelets.

“You want nieces and nephews right? Therefore you can’t run every men off.”

“I ran the last two off. I can run the next off. And the one after him. And the next. And the - you know what just stopping trying after four.”

“Go to hell, Jermaine.” The laugh that left him was loud and made his sister hit him in the arm. She hated being around him at moments. He didn’t care at times and it bothered her.

“I’m kidding, Sam. You dating some loser now?”

“Actually I am dating this man.” His eyes snapped in her direction and the smirk on her face only made him frown.

“The fuck?”

“The fuck you mean the fuck? Am I suppose to be single the rest of my life.”

“First of all watch yo’ damn mouth. And yes you are.”

“Please Jermaine. Me and LaToya are only a year and a half apart. What’s the difference?”

“You’re my sister and that’s my girl. That’s the difference.” Just as she was going in defensive mood, Rodriguez walked out to them. He hand Jermaine a bag, but once he decline he hand over the rose gold velvet box. Just out of curiosity Jermaine checked the inside, a smile on his face as he starred at the ring.

“Remember call me when you ready for the band.”

“I gotcha. Aye how much for them bracelets right there though.”

“I’ll give you both on the house.” Rodriguez replied as he opened the slide door of the counter, pulling out the display that the bracelets were placed on.

“Nah. Ion take nothing from a man for free.”

“Shit I do.” Samantha quickly added in.

Jermaine eyed his sister, his face displaying the annoyance running through him with her comment. Rather she’s playing or not, Jermaine didn’t find it cute nor funny.

“Take yo’ ass over there. Thanks.”

“You get on my damn nerves.” Her response was barely audible as she walked away, but both man caught it.

“She still feisty.”

“And off limits.” Jermaine hand him his card once again to pay for the bracelets, watching as Rodriguez shook his head.

“Why you keeping everybody from the little sister?”

“Protecting.” He grabbed his card, watching as his jeweler bagged the new purchase.

“Can’t keep her on that leash forever.”

“Go to hell man.”

“I hope that ring don’t turn your girl’s finger green.” The smirk on his face made Jermaine laugh. He wasn’t stupid.

“If it do I’ll just come cut yours off.” That wipe it away. “See ya, Rodriguez. Thanks man.”

Outside, Jermaine dropped the velvet box in his pocket as he held the bag with the matching bracelets. His sister sat on the hood of her baby blue Coverette, a mug painted on her face.

“Samantha.”

“What?”

“Love you.” That made her smile at him. He wasn’t affectionate, but when he was it was priceless.

“Love you too, bro.” Nodding he headed to his truck, unlocking the driver door. “And Maine?”

“What?” He hated that nickmane now. No one understood he had grown out of it.

“Good luck, big bro.”

“Thanks, big head. Go ahead and go so I know you straight.” And like always, even if she hated it, Sam followed his directions. Getting inside her car she cranked it up, blew the horn, and then left.

Once he was sitting behind the wheel Jermaine checked his phone, noticing several miss calls. Five from Terrance, eight from Grey, and two from Chance. None from LaToya and that only made him more nervous. He left his phone to charge, thinking nothing would happen, but now he’s regretting it.

Just as he was pressing Chance name on his recent call log list, the phone started to vibrate and Chance’s name popped up on his phone. Quickly Jermaine said a prayer as he slid the bar to answer the phone.

“Chance what’s going on?”

“Get to LaToya house. Now!”

“Why?”

“She’s in there with Zanea, Cole. I don’t know what’s going on and nobody there’s yet, but you need to get there.”

“Where’s Grey?”

“Both he and Terrance are at your house. Cole get there!”’

“Yeah.”

Cranking up his truck, Jermaine speed out the parking lot, cutting in front of two cars and drove towards the interstate.

Now he had an entirely new set of butterflies in his stomach. Not from worrying if the ring would be a mess, if Rodriguez would play him out of his money, or if she said no. But now he’s dealing with the problem if she even gets the chances to see the ring.

“Fuck!” His hand slammed down on the wheel as he slammed on breaks, trying his hardest not to wreck. Speeding around the car he caught back up to his speed of 95 as he flowed with the traffic.

Then he got into a deep thought. In order for both Terrance and Grey to be at his house, she had to play her way out his house. Grey was stationed at LaToya’s house 24/7 just in case Zanea got the idea and now look! Now he had a security man to replace and a girl to whip in shape.

A new emotion rolled over him and it was anger. She never fucking listens and now this shit happens. His mind raced as he tried to get to the other side of Miami, his speed now at a hundred and twenty.

“Please, God……..” He repeated that the entire way.

The entire way.

Violet and Landon were two young adults living in lowest loft in London. The two have been together since they could remember, With Violet working in a local record store ad Landon making a few bucks here and there with his art work and Photography gigs for just about any event he could, They had it decent and they thought they had it all together until that rainy night, paint splattering and glass breaking filled their place. Fighting wasn't something they did often but when it happen, It Happen. A few words that should have never been said along with a couple of "I Hate You's" They never thought it would get like this, It seemed like it was all over and by the end of the night it would be.
