In the airport traveling to Oklahoma City to chase the sun.
In the last 24 hours, Iβve changed my plans from driving down to Dallas (3 hours) to driving all the way over to Memphis (6.5 hours) because clouds are covering Dallas and skies look clear in Arkansas.
I arrived at the airport four hours early to get on standby for an earlier flight - and then realized that the connecting flight was in a different city, possibly stranding me in Denver, so I unstandbyβed only to later realize that I probably wouldnβt have been stranded and should have risked it.
My eternal anxiety: itβs going to be a seven hour driving time after the eclipse and probably much longer with everybody trying to get back. Will I have time to get back for my 8:00 flight THE FOLLOWING MORNING??
