Cygnus Black & Druella Rosier. Purebloods, parents, and practically royalty. With a bloodline as ancient and powerful as ours, we live very privileged lives as we were meant to be. We have two (three) daughters: Bellatrix, (Andromeda) and Narcissa. They are all graduated from school, with honours of course.

Debutante Lessons | Narcissa Black

Narcissa entered the study, cautious and curious at what her parents needed her for.  She hadn’t done anything wrong, or so she thought.  Still, to be summoned to see both her parents, aside from meals at the dining table, usually meant that something was amiss.  The last time she met with her parents to discuss something was last year in the garden.  Andromeda was already gone, and Narcissa was in her second-to-last year of school.  Now that she was graduated, she figured that more duties would soon be part of her daily schedule.

"Mother?  Father?  You sent for me?"

Both Cygnus and Druella were standing as they received their daughter.  Druella had been pacing the floor.  It was something she always did when she waited impatiently.  Cygnus knew this all too well as he rested alongside his desk, watching the wife he had been married to for years, listening to her shoes tap the floor with every click of her heels.

Immediately upon seeing Narcissa, he plastered a smile on his face.  Druella was intimidating, but Cygnus was always there for his daughters to reassure them that there was a buffer in contrast to their control-freak mother.

"Yes, Narcissa, you're in the right place.  How are you feeling with the wedding?  Are the preparations to your liking?" he asked.  "We've received a lot of RSVPs, and it's going to be the social event of the season.  That's exciting, isn't it?"

"More so, have you spoken with Lucius at all?" added Druella.  She knew how to cut straight to the point and knew where the problems were.

Cygnus snapped his head toward his wife, knowing how sensitive his daughter was to the topic of her betrothed.  But it was a must, and they all had to do their duty around it.
