barbie movie: is marketed as “haha barbie has to go to the real world with ken and mattel wants them to go back to barbieland haha funny adventure movie!”

me after watching it: is sobbing hysterically and undergoing an existential crisis, a breakdown, and a metamorphosis into a more confident and secure individual with the knowledge that under the patriarchy it is next to impossible to appease others and that you just have to go “fuck it” and be your genuine self while doing what makes you happy

“The idea of a loving God who’s a mother, a grandmother— who looks at you and says, ‘Honey, you’re doing OK’— is something I feel like I need and I wanted to give to other people. If I cut that scene, I don’t know why I’m making this movie.”

Avoided covid for 2.5 years to finally get covid by a quick grocery store trip 😭 (or at least that’s the only place I can think that I got it from ???, maybe when I got Dunkin on Thursday?? Not sure)

Currently have body aches, nasty running nose, with flema and cough

I have been rewatching tasm and I loved andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and I would loved to see him and mj together. Shai and andrew would have had great chemistry.

Hello! Thanks for this message, woah it takes me back to 2014! It’s been almost 10 years and I’m still very upset that we never got to see that footage. Curiosity will always get the best of me and I just wish it had been realized to see the chemistry, the portrayal, the personalities!

The dismantling of Roe v Wade will go down in history as one of the most damning indictments of american politics and a public health decision, no matter how short or long lived, that will shape the pain and suffering of generations to come.

thinking about how baekdo broke up because of the distance and how yi jin kept letting hee do down ONLY for her to end up with a husband who is not even present and doesn’t even know what their child is interested in

Okay okay serious review now.

From the beginning, I knew that they wouldn’t end up together. I was hopeful but expected them not to be endgame. The title being Jaurim’s song “Twenty Five, Twenty One” made me think that because if you know the song, it’s about remembering a past love that you thought would last, but it doesn’t. The past love is now just a memory.

I had told my partner that I thought it would be similar to “On Your Wedding Day” but this honestly hurt way more than “On Your Wedding Day” because we see them build up this beautiful relationship for 15 episodes and have a disappointing outcome. I do not hate the ending since I believe it is realistic and I understand that first loves aren’t always meant to be together. I just wished they saved that big meaningful ending for another kdrama couple - not this one since baekdo was the most healthiest and beautiful relationships I had seen in kdrama history. I think the only thing that disappointed me was we did not get to see Baek Yi Jin in present day. How is he doing? Does he have a family? Is he happy? So many unanswered questions. I understand why Min Chae’s dad wasn’t shown or explained - this is not the Reply series, it’s not a husband hunt. The overall theme is the nostalgia from your youth, your first love, and how you came to be. BUT I still would have liked more information as to how Hee Do was able to move on, who she moved on to, and how Yi Jin was doing in the present.
