Hello Anon! I truly appreciate the shared obsession. Creating, sharing runework and tattoo designs have been one of the more fulfilling things in my career. So, thanks for sharing that w/ me. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

In truth, I have a literal tiny handheld Gray Book of my own that carries a carnal alphabet I use (with broken down origin glyphs). It is a godsend. Whenever a new challenge comes around I whip that out and re-read it to lay groundwork. I've made too many Runes at home to actually fit into any singular book (mostly rejected designs btw). So, good luck with your version, I'm utterly fascinated to know how it goes. Lemme know!

When you say ones that "aren't talked about as much" I think it's more nuanced than that. There were some that were deliberately designed/requested/highlighted like "Fearless" and others that weren't like "Courage in Combat", whereas the later means vastly more to me personally. How two things can seem so alike but actually mean v different things idk. If you were writing lit, fic or theory you can go forever on just that! But then that's art isn't it?

If you're asking directly about "Abundance"... hmm? it's been a while. Let's look at my notes. While the literal spelling is "Abundance" what I've got translated from the glyphs used is 'being Present'. So, it's less "Abundance" of riches but more like a proficiency in Passive Perception. Does that make a little more sense? See, this shit is hella nuanced! (I did put synonymous titles for Runes names that were a bit... sparse, pre se. But they're on my uploads and weren't often on other sites or maintained when the publishers printed it. This is why source materiel is best material.) I go into loads of notes on DA, feel free to poke around.

BUT when it's your Gray Book , your notes, you do you. Answer to no one. Feel free to ask me whatever but still answer to no one. It's your grimoire, go nuts!

Thanks @tmaldo63I I won't stop you but you really don't need to donate, the sentiment it sweet enough.

There's quite a lot of runes I've accumulated over the years, I've tried my very best to keep them organized, even a mildly alphabetized over on DA.

Either way you're asking the wrong ladiee. Any input I had in the TMI universe was in the ARC phase of City of Bones. That was over a decade ago. I mean I'm still short and feisty but my hair isn't even red anymore.

Plus, @cassandraclare is a smartie. Things that seemed meaningless a decade ago she might have given purpose and sewn into the seems now.

...however if you're asking about the film or the TV series I assure there's no meaning there as those fourums of media were meaningless. Sorry I couldn't be of more use.

Alright, lets clear this up. Menstrual pain is symptomatic of a greater act. The uterus walls thicken than shed a layer. That is a whole lot of physical material growing in your person and then tearing apart. And the act takes place over weeks, symptoms can show up as early as a week before a menstrual flow displaying in back pain, strain in thighs, stomach cramps, nerve strain and even migraines. These symptoms can continue even and up to a week after a menstrual flow.

That’s weeks.

Not a single one but THREE weeks out of the month where the uterus is processing a cycle that can lead up to pain as small as a 1–3-day mild cramp session to a 3 weeklong pain roller coaster that has been sometimes interchangeable with labor pains.

Meanwhile their expected to behave copasetic all four weeks of the month. In anticipation of the rando time they might one day decide to be kid ready.

Is there a higher calling?

Actually, the real question you should be asking is 'Was the Iratze Rune made for any other reason?'

When Cassie asked me to create a “Love” Rune I immediately thought it was too vague of an idea. With a translator as a parent, I was raised in a household with a number of languages. I knew the translation of “Love” to have many meanings. After working with tattoos, it’s significant to me what people put on their bodies. So, I feel fiercely about all my runes. 

IF you want more details about How I design their looks, I suggest you go back into my Q&A’s. I take a deep dive there, it is a topic I enjoy but I’ve covered it a couple of times now. For someone to get a tattoo, including yourself, I know the Rune is as much to you as it is to me. Maybe you’ll share a pic with me when you get it done!

It's difficult to rationalize what those knobhead TV people got up to & it make gestures like this overwhelming. That aside, I'm ALWAYS moved when someone reaches out to say they’ve gotten a tattoo! That makes me feel like part of their story. You've paid your tattooist for that; you owe me nothing… altho I wouldn’t say no to a picture maybe. That's really enuff for me.

I do want to acknowledge your gesture, so I’ve added a Donation Button to the frontpage of far-eviler.com not because I want to expect things going forward but because your gesture humbled me.

I have no way to predict what the shared experience between creator & fan will be in these uncertain times, conventions are unlikely and commissions are hard earned, but every little sign of connection there is it deserves to be acknowledged & not pooped on, like some big named studios are wont to do.

Okay, Feck it CHILD! I keep seeing this post POP UP! on my dash, then Go away! [DELETED] Unacceptable. Pride is acceptance and the courage to keep it, Worts & all.

As the pansexual, demisexual designer of that ↑ there “Angelic Rune" will be pleased with ease to tell you, that precious piece almost never happened. It was a pass. Not by Cassie, but by Me. I thought it fiercely weak alongside what I’d lined up for Shadowhunters, but I hung onto it because its uniqueness and roots had already dug its way into my art-heart.

That being said; 10+yrs later, some DemaGodGraphic of readers, viewers and fans later the runt of the design litter has outstripped them all. I take pride in that, not because I think it’s the best rune I’ve designed (still don’t) or stylized or boldest, nuanced… I could go on, but because the knucklehead has always been pretty great. Now, what you’ve done with it is great. What you’re doing to it, with it and what you’re doing for it is great.

Take it from the source.

There would be an absence, felt but an unknown, if you keep hiding this something you obviously want to fly high… So, I’m just going to put This. Right. Here.

Hi I just saw your posts about not being credited for the runes on Shadowhunters and while that is really awful and they for sure should have asked you for help when they started making up runes for the show, some of the things said were really hurtful and upsetting as a fan of the show and the cast. Most of the fandom would be upset too if they knew about this, we could have tried to help you get the recognition you deserve. Freeform is the enemy here the show and cast don't deserve hate.

The studios behavioral choices toward myself and co. ranged from unprofessional to vile. Attempts to handle things discreetly were met with callousness. Their mishandling of many, many things led to the shows laughably inevitable downfall (much to my relief). I wish I felt as though fans would have had my back, in all honesty I felt they were so hyped for the TV Series content they were blind to my hardship and various other failings. I don’t know if I had a chance to do things differently, I doubt I’d have bitched about it publicly… I doubt it would have made a difference. Frankly feel nothing would have saved the show from the get-go, but my edge of insight is different. Skewed certainly.

I’ve said not one negative word against the cast or crew who I’ve had no personal contact with and have only had negative things to say toward the dark corners of the fandom that followed in Freeforms’ suit and manipulated my runes toward their personal benefit. With such a MASSIVE example put forth I can’t say that I’m surprised but I can say that I’m hella disappointed.

Moving forward past the show and onto newer works (especially with my friends), having made officially new runes©🖤,helping with new books and being in talks with new and constant fans is my reward in the end! That cannot be taken away from me. Thank you for giving 2 shits about 👉🏽this here dumbshit.
