The proper way to deal with Nazis. Just needs to be some crocodiles in that river to finish the job.
reminder to worldbuilders: don't get caught up in things that aren't important to the story you're writing, like plot and characters! instead, try to focus on what readers actually care about: detailed plate tectonics
@dragonpyre any chance you could elaborate on this
I grew up learning about land formations. Seeing fictional maps that don’t follow the logic and science of them makes me upset
What are the most common sins you’ve seen relating to this? I wanna know
Mordor.
Why is the mountain range square. How did the mountain range form. Why is there one singular volcano in the center. Why does it act like a composite volcano but have magma that acts like it’s from a shield. If it’s hotspot based volcanic activity why is there only one volcano.
And then the misty mountains!!!! Why isn’t there a rain shadow!! And why is there a FOREST where the rain shadow should be!!!!!!!!
So what is a rain shadow?
Wind blows clouds in from the sea, but mountains are so tall the clouds can't get past 'em, so you get deserts on the windward side of mountain ranges because clouds can't get there to water the land, or do so only very rarely.
Okay so going to be a geo-nerd for a second. I wrote a D&D campaign set on a continent in a world one of my friends made up. Basically he gave me this big size continent and said go wild. I basically covered the majority of it in huge dense forests/ open plains, and put it almost all on a huge plateau. Basically what I wrote as the background of this landmass was that it started as a massive chunk of land that broke off from the rest of the land masses and as it closer and closer to the Southern Pole it froze over almost completely. Some sections of the Northern/North-Western side had little glaciation, and as it started to thaw with increased temperatures over the millennia the retreating glaciers carved away most of the land. In fact the glaciation was so bad it would have carved the landmass to almost nothin if not for special minerals in the landmass. Basically the central and southern mountain ranges were packed with Residuum which resisted the glacial pressure and grinding and it was over a good portion of the continent. One area in the north more desert and another becoming more an impassible wetland separated by the mountain range running from the northern tip half way through the continent. Sheer cliffs topped with the huge forests blacked entrance to the East and West while a massive open plain crossed the center where there was a large break in the mountains. To the South and closer to the pole, was a massive glacier that stopped circumnavigation. There was also the shattered range of mountains just north of the glacier, some went under it still, but they were the densest concentration of Residuum in the area and resisted even better then the central range did. Creating a shield for the massive forest just to the north of them. So yeah, I did a geography nerd thing making this continent and honestly put in far more work then was needed into it.
So I have this headcanon about Larry...
This makes so much sense...
POSTING THIS AGAIN!!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE!!!
Is someone over on Reddit trying to make this happen as we speak?
Also, if the sale collapses on Elon's side, he owes Twitter $1 billion. It'd be really funny.

So I am writing a little campaign for my 5E group and really needed a particular mini to help bring the game to life. So I ordered this big boy online and he came in today and he will for sure make my players jump when I whip him out onto the table!
Alright so our Curse of Strahd campaign got put on hold as the DM has a new job that will prevent him from playing/DMing until after the Summer. So we are switching to another homebrew game that one of the other guys wrote. So let me introduce my new Orc Cleric of Pelor, Hak. He is a solid slab of muscle standing 6'10'' with his best score being his 20 in Strength, but he is a staunched believer in trying to solve things non-violently. He is mostly a healer and a shield and will try and keep not only his party alive, but keep any sentient enemy alive as well. Anyway, I am looking forward to running him this Friday for the first time.
So Corgin, my halfling rogue/wizard died in our Curse of Strahd game. He died at the ripe old age of level 2 in the murder house. So now I am bringing in my Tabaxi Ranger Kenpin. He is a gloom stalker ranger and level 3, and has already nearly died as our first encounter was with a vampire spawn. Hope he can stick around for a bit.
So I thought I would share my newest D&D character, Corgin. He is a little halfling rogue that has decided he did not want to follow his family's business of... real-estate, at least that is what he tells everyone. In reality his family ran a local mafia and racketeering ring and Corgin just wanted to learn to be a wizard and do cool magic. So he ran away, and decided the best way to learn magic was hook up with an adventuring group and learn from the magic users in the group. Well he landed a job traveling with a few magic users providing support for this eccentric noble going on a quest to some place called Barovia. Well after a bit of running around with the group Corgin finally learned some magic, though things are getting a bit more crazy then he wanted. So yeah right now he is a 1st level rogue and a 1st level wizard, so he has almost no hit points at the moment. He has a little magic but not much, and is sort of good at stabbing people. He is actually not going to take more then 1 more level of wizard and then head into Arcane Trickster, when he actually will learn Mage Hand, which he does not know at the moment. He was going to take the Divination school to get the Portent ability and bank 2 rolls at the beginning of the day. But then I found out about Chronurgy Magic to get the Chronal Shift ability to cause 2 rerolls per long rest. Then eventually I will take the Lucky feat and get 3 more luck rerolls. Combine that with all the Halfling abilities that let me reroll stuff and I have almost total control of the dice... okay not really but sort of. That will not be until level 5 though, so here is hoping it all works out fine. Anyway that is Corgin, and just to mention I used Hero Forge to make this picture.
Just felt like posting that I got my COVID-19 shot today. I got the one and done Johnson and Johnson version, and I am feeling great. Been a few hours and no side effects or anything so far. Hope everyone else can get there shots too, and we can get this whole pandemic truly behind us all! Oh, and a Happy Easter to you all as well.
THIS IS MY FIRST ROLL OF 2021 AND I’M SCREAMING
This is the good luck d20. Reblog to roll into the new year with +20 epic stats
Rolling some dice tonight, hope this is my luck as well for then and the rest of the year as well.
Just an FYI for those in the US with insurance issues
Important information! Insurance coverage decisions are made by medically ignorant bean-counters. Until we can dismantle the whole shitty system, know how to scare them into submission.
This is like that procedure Mr. Incredible told that old lady
Re-blogging it just to make sure I have it.
This is the way you’re supposed to do pranks!
I try SO hard not to make faces when I hear someone around me say wild shit but I just can’t stop myself

Just have to because, wow.
The Outbursts of Everett True was a comic strip that ran in papers from 1905 to 1927, wherein the aforementioned Everett True regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude. Men have not only been taking up too much room on public transport for about as long as public transport has existed, but the people around them have been irritated about it for at least a hundred years. The next time someone tries to claim that manspreading is a false phenomenon, please direct them to this strip so that Everett True can correct their misconceptions with an umbrella upside the head.
I have never before heard of Everett True, but if he “regularly beat the everliving shit out of rude people as a warning to anyone else who might consider being rude,” I have a strong spiritual connection with him.
I fucking love him
i can imagine this guy’s voice very clearly in my head but i couldn’t put a name to it
He also jabs racists in the eye!
I love the justice grandpa of fists
I’m very lucky to own a book that’s a collection of most of these comics (sadly not all of them) and would highly recommend hunting these down if you can. Sorry for the lack of a scanner but phone photos will just have to do.
He was a enjoyable cuss who didn’t care for war mongering.
Especially profitable war mongering and excuses for it!
He certainly didn’t like selfish husbands and fathers!
Politicians who turned on their words once they got theirs weren’t safe.
He said fuck the police!
He absolutely didn’t like people ruining little things for kids.
He stood up for foreigners. Especially those doing their best to communicate with limited second language knowledge.
He was not having any tomfoolery when it came to gun safety and laws. Especially with youth involved.
You had better not abuse a animal with him nearby. He’d right that wrong real quick!
And best of all him and his wife were both prickly cusses together. Relationship goals.
I have a new role model
It’s nice to see a fat dude in a political cartoon that’s NOT being used as shorthand for greed and corruption.
Hes like the personification of motherfucker unlimited
Reblogging this newer version of this thread with so many more strips I haven’t seen…why did this character ever disappear. Where did you go, Everett.
we need him more than ever…
sorry to make a long post longer but I feel like we could all really use some Everett True Beating Up Anti-Maskers content:
He’s a hero, our Everett.
Just found out there were live action Everett True shorts (silent films, though, so the outbursts were largely body language)
Seen this thread a few times but this is the first with a clip from a live action silent film short.
