Ok, so I wanted to make an updated post so here is the rundown of the situation that I am currently in. (3/29)

I am employed. I have a job working at my local university. I’ve been there for almost a year. I am currently looking for another job, hopefully with a temp agency or something administrative. I currently work 15 hours a week and make $9.50. Obviously, that is wack. Not to mention, February was a very difficult for me, as I slipped into severe mania and psychosis and was in a hospital for over a week, and took almost 3 weeks to recover and adjust to my medication. Once I had recuperated, I was still unable to return to work because of a nor’easter that made me miss almost all of my shifts for the week. 

My mental health has been a serious issue for years and anyone who has followed me for more than a week would know how hard I’m trying to stay afloat and keep stable.  I’m part of an agency that offers resources for ppl with mental health issues, including therapy, medication dropoff, and regular check-ups. It’s helped tremendously as of late, but I’m still struggling to pay for transportation, food, and help my mom with household obligations. I do what I can. 

My goal for the time being is to move out of my house and regain some stability and independence. I also have a friend who is willing to sell me a car, something that would extremely convenient. I don’t make enough where I am to do anything but stay in the same place and it does not help me in the least. I’ve asked for help for a long time, I’ve always fully appreciated the help that has been offered to me by friends, acquaintances, and strangers.

This is just me asking for help to get by. I say this now, and I will not address if further: If you have a problem with people asking for money on the internet, keep it to yourself.  Mind your business and keep scrolling instead of being unnecessarily harsh and rude to someone in need who is asking for a hand. I’m not forcing or guilting anyone into anything, and I will not respond kindly to people who harass me about the subject. Save us both the headache.

Hello! My name is Yah Yah. You may know me from my ridiculous posts on Tumblr or, if you’re lucky, you know me by my writing. This is an older piece of mine that was published in 2016 @americaneldritch for their “Deux Ex Gothic” edition of American Eldritch. It’s speculative fiction, mostly, and gothic horror, exploring space and the fragility of the human (and sometimes, inhuman) form. After updating it, I have to admit I’m very fond of this piece. It’s one of my crowning achievements, and I’d like to share it with you all!
