Gonna watch pewds play the last of us and then attempt to continue my book. I really want to write on that, see if I can make 10,000 words by the end of the month.

Name's Dean Campbell, you might have heard about me. Bounty hunter, Lycan, strategist, loving...

Moved my Omega!Dean over to this blog to keep this one more cleaned up. Will be replying to our thread on this account. Also added to Dean’s bio so I’m caught up more or less.

To anyone following me on here for the Omegaverse, link above is what you’ll want to follow instead of this blog.

Michael didn’t move, unbothered. “Isn’t that what they want though Dean? Is to separate?” He asked, toying with a black strand of his hair that had fallen out of his normally overly tidy placing. “It’s a bit… Expected.”

"You don’t mind expected." Gabriel told Michael with surprising sternness, at which the Beta coloured slightly to. "You mind Dean’s plan - that’s going to avoid getting you killed rather than waiting for them to actually come inside." He whipped out his nails, now rough and extended.

Michael thought momentarily but quietened. “I’m staying, I have to. When they start playing with the oxygen levels… Someone’s got to be there.” He swallowed. “Hand me a gun?” He needed one or a couple just in case, and plenty of quick barrels.

Balthazar had fully wered out, now only heavily grunting as he snarled in the doors direction, his nose picking up. “No Mediums?” He was happy with that, which meant that the humans truly had loyalty to them, but the fact that Lycans were involved was more than disappointing yet he smirked. “I hope that we have no death warrant - I can kill as many as I want hopefully.”

______

Castiel turned to him, nodding. “That idea… That’s a very good idea - I like that idea. We do that idea and we do it now.” He nodded, turning to Bess, “You ready?”

She was currently tying her hair back, something edgy about her usual homeliness and cookie cutter domestic self. “As I’ll ever be. I used to do gymnastics…” She said conversely, “Pro level. I’ll be fine for anything major.”

“We can’t wait for them to come in and catch us unaware. We gotta take the fight out to them.” Dean checked one of the smaller handguns and made sure it had ammo and the safety pall was on before handing it to Michael. “Careful, all you gotta do is take the safety off, aim and pull the trigger.”

He gave the Beta a curt nod and after a moment or two, gave him a pat on the shoulder in reassurance. “You’re gonna be fine, Michael. We’re not gonna let ‘em hurt you.” Dean nodded at Gabriel with a small smile on his face before turning back to Michael. “That’s what family does, we protect each other.”

Dean meant it, he never really had a family aside from his mother and Sam. But now that he had… he wanted to keep them safe. He may not always see eye to eye with Balthazar and Michael, but that didn’t mean that he didn’t care about them. He did, in his own way. They were family, Cas’s family, his family. And that was all that mattered to the Omega.

“No mundanes as far as I can tell, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be there. Keep an eye out, there might be more of them. The camera’s can’t pick up everything.” He said softly, briefly touching the wolf’s back. “Be careful, Cas would kill me if anything happened to you guys.”

“Let’s gank some bitches. Don’t kill them unless you have to. They could prove useful if we’re gonna need testimonies.”

———

“Never guessed you’d be that bendy.” Sam chuckled, pulling out a small notebook from the middle console to scribble on. “He’ll be expecting you from the obvious route, right here.” He drew a quick map of the harbor and pointed out the estimated location of the boat and the direct route to it.

“Bess and I will go the other way, see if we can slip onto the yacht from the bow and climb our way down to take them from the ground up. You in the meantime find Lizzie and Samandriel, keep Henry busy. Send a signal to my cell, call me, whatever, once you have a visual on them, we’ll come to your aid.”

Michael didn’t laugh back, but a half grin (if it could be called that) was at the corner of his mouth. His eyes sparkled, and for a second you could see the life that Gabriel had spotted and why he’d become so wholly enthralled with the Beta. It was short lived though, when Michael remembered where they were and walked towards Castiel’s black laptop. He sat down, pulling it towards himself before tying his hair and breathing. The kids were downstairs with James, the Omega manned with guns and his own abilities. If all should come to fail, Garth - positioned closest to the door was expected to get them out as speedily as possible and take them to the closest safe haven, easier when the garage of Dean’s Impala was beside it and Garth was the lightest thus expected quickest on his feet - he’d move the fastest.

Michael glared at the computer screen, typing speedily whilst his eyelids narrowed. Just by the second that Dean had made that comment, he clicked on something and sighed deeply. “I’m in.” Faeries were decades behind in the code game - as in, german enigma decoded by Alan Turing sort of behind. If it had been appropriate, maybe just maybe Michael might have made a joke.

Gabriel turned to Dean. “We do? Where?” He wasn’t waiting for Dean’s instructions as he began to shift, mainly because the last set had caused him to wrap a decapitated head in spare linen towels - because Michael pointed out, they covered well but didn’t soak the necessary smell. He didn’t want to ask how it had even ended up there.

Balthazar’s eyes reddened and the fiery cracking of bones grew distinct.

_______

Castiel swallowed, “He can’t possibly expect me alone really…” He breathed. “Fuck.” They’d deal with it later, for now they had this.

“Outer perimeter.” Dean answered easily, trying to follow the moving thing with the camera’s surrounding the house. “We got two faeries, at least one shapeshifter, judging by the eye flash the camera gives. And a few other creatures, possibly Lycans. They’re moving too fast to get a good look at them.”

He tried switching camera’s and camera angles, but he got no good results out of it. “Balthazar, one of the faeries looks to be heading for the north side of the house. Think you can intercept?”

“Gabriel, that shifter was heading for the east side. Might be heading here. Stay with Michael, protect him.”

He sighed in frustration and checked his gun one last time. “I’m gonna try to hold off those lycans. If they stay at their current heading they’ll be at the back door within minutes. I’ll yell for Balthazar if I run into trouble.”

“I could take Bess and try to get onto the piers from another side or gate. Block the exit and take them that way.” Sam offered.

Michael was the first to say something, after Gabriel had led Lillian and Archibald into the pup corner where all of them were hiding, it wasn’t too difficult to find and he raised an eyebrow at Dean as he patted down his stomach, now past the end of his third trimester. He studied Dean, “It’s not gonna do anything… Simply locking them up.” He said casually, far too calm even in a situation like this - Lillian had inherited his stunningly cool atmosphere too, which was particularly eerie with the pallid and dark complexion. “We need to mask their scent, with something dead… Or some sort of oil. That’s priority. I’ll sort out the rest soon enough.” He explained.

Gabriel meanwhile was urging Garth to pick up some weaponry, before the Alpha would have to possible wolf out. It was alone him, Balthazar and Dean - Michael had smartly not offered due to being pregnant.

Gabriel stared at Michael’s comment, “you’re suggesting putting something dead in there… Aren’t you?” He raised an eyebrow. “Where the hell are we going to get a spare lying corpse anywhere Micky? Long enough to deter rogue enemy wolves…?!”

______

"Are we-" Bess started.

Castiel phone beeped to life suddenly, scaring the Alpha all too suddenly. “We’ve got a message.” They’d typed the direction of the yacht and the massive port… Castiel turned it to Sam, “Read it out…”

“Actually, there’s something we can use. Or well, someone.” Dean turned to Gabriel and nodded in the general direction of the front door. “There’s a… useful item on the doorstep…” He started, looking over at the kids to see if Lillian was paying attention to them. “Wrap it in something so they won’t have to see it.

He burped Faelan and handed him to James after pulling his shirt back down. The pup hadn’t eaten much, but it was something, and that was still more then nothing. He inspected some of the handguns next, picking them apart and putting them back together blindly, as he watched the security footage on the small hidden monitor in the adjoining open kitchen.

So far things looked good and although he wasn’t a fan of the dead smell, -understatement of the year-, he had to admit it was a smart idea. Still didn’t mean he had to like it though. “Expect the cleaning costs on your desk next monday.” He half joked, looking over his shoulder to his Beta brother-in-law.

Dean straightened up when he saw a flash on the outer perimeter camera and leaned in to take a closer look. “We got movement.”

——

Sam took the phone from Castiel and read the text.

Boat on pier K66. Take following coordinates; 42.7667 degrees N, 70.8458 degrees W. Come alone.

“That’s Newbury, Massachusetts. That’s half an hour drive from Lawrence. It’s got an open connection out to sea.”

They finally had a lead.

Castiel meanwhile played anxiously with his phone in the car as they drove along. He’d already texted Balthazar, who’d alerted him that the kingdom was already going crazy over news of the crown prince’s kidnapping - people were searching all over for the heir, but to no avail. Castiel had sent Balthazar over to Dean’s aid, along with Gabriel and Michael - who decided to bring along their pups. A extended pack went down together… No matter what.

Castiel swallowed, trying to not get too fussy over the phone. Henry hadn’t made an attempt to contact him yet, and he didn’t want to think the worst but honestly he couldn’t help it. He was probably busy… Doing whatever it was that psychopathic Faerie’s did as they drew in their prey. His head tilted back, swallowing deeply.

Bess tapped her nails across her tight pleated dress, well aware that she could die today - the odds were not in her favour but yet it didn’t sit well with the female Alpha to simply not do anything. She wanted to contribute to her daughter’s future and safety. “You’ve got anything on this guy?” She whispered.

Castiel didn’t want to miserably admit that they were awaiting for Henry to even text them… Like some sidekicks. He sighed, “No… But soon we will.” He texted Dean.

-Balthazar and Gabe are gonna enter from the abandoned entrance - you open that and check before you do, be quick. Stay low and be safe. I love you, Cas-

Dean made sure the gun in his hands was loaded through with a bullet in the chamber as he made his way down the secret passageway to let Balthazar, Gabriel, Michael and the two pups in. He opened the door and quickly drew his gun up right in Balthazar’s face, he lowered it and put the safety back on once he realized who he was looking at though.

“Get in.” He more or less commanded the Alpha’s and Beta as he closed the door behind them and lead them up to the living spaces. Garth and James were still on the living room couch with the three pups when they got back and Dean sighed in relief. He looked down at his phone and smiled just slightly at Castiel’s message.

-I know, Cas. They just got here. Gathered all weapons, checked doors and windows. About to barricade. We’ll be fine. Remember your promise. We love you too, Dean, Cillian and Faelan.-

He put the phone back into his pocket and made another round in the living room, checking the doors and windows again. For now they were holding up, though he knew that wouldn’t last very long. He put his gun back into the waistband of his jeans and walked over to James to take a fussing Faelan from the other Omega.

Dean lifted up his shirt and coaxed Faelan into another feeding, he didn’t particularly care who saw him breastfeeding. It was a natural process and nobody needed to be weird about it. Besides, it wasn’t like he could seclude himself and Faelan from the others right now.

——

Sam in the meantime was staring at one fixed point on the opposite seat in the car. He only had one thing on his mind. Getting Lizzie back.

Castiel didn’t want to cry, but even without his preference or knowledge the tears began to flow and he began to sigh. He didn’t want this, didn’t want to treat Dean like this - to leave the Omega so suddenly and so soon. It was cruelty unfair and Castiel right despised himself for it. “I promise.” He hugged Dean softly, kissing his cheek and breathing his scent in. He just had to make sure that he had Dean with him, some part of Dean. If… When he met Dean again, he’d give the Omega something meaningful - just so that they’d always have one another in a form other than the pups. He sighed, walking away without turning back, bravely as he made his way down the path and intotje car where an impatient Sam sat.

"I can’t just…" Bess whispered, her demeanour suddenly stern. "Garthie…" She looked to him, "They’re gonna need as much help as possible - and I feel like I could grant them it, don’t you think?" She kissed his head softly. "Place Soph with the other pups… But I’m going with them." She said sternly.

Dean looked down and turned his head away, desperately trying to soothe the crying twins. He turned around and walked back inside with James, he couldn’t do this. He won’t watch his mate drive away from him.

Garth sniffed quietly and whimpered softly, he didn’t want Bess to go but he knew he couldn’t stop her either. “I don’t want you to go..” He murmured, wrapping his arms around his mate briefly before James gently pulled him back.

“Time to go back inside, Garth. She’ll be back.” James said softly, nodding at Bess to take her leave while he had Garth under control. The Omega could go voilent if he desperate enough, not that Garth would, he didn’t seem the type. But he technically could. The Omega let himself be lead by James after he said goodbye to Bess and willingly went inside with Sophie.

The Omega’s stayed close together on the couch finding comfort by each other’s presence. Dean didn’t know what would happen in the next few hours, but he had a feeling it wasn’t gonna be good. He got up from the couch and left James in charge over the twins as he walked around the house, checking windows and doors while collecting all the silver knives and other weapons he could find.

Castiel could barely breathe, mostly due to that devilish kiss that Dean gave him laced with an uncommon poison… Desperation. Dean might have been Castiel’s anchor in several ways that were good, but he could destroy Castiel in as many ways as he could possibly save him - all from the way that he could simply look at the Alpha, which would render him unable. Castiel broke the kiss, unsteadily breathing afterwards and cupping Dean’s cheek. “Home… I’ll be home soon. I’ll send Balthatzar over, and Gabriel. You’re gonna need as much protection as you can get.” He thought back to the head. “The pups. Keep them together but mask the scent somehow. Anyhow Dean.”

He clocked Sam’s position over the car, impatient and annoyed. He was pretty well put together compared to normal results of what typical Alpha’s would do if somehow this happened to them, circumstances like their mate missing. Then again, at heart Sam thought logically and wasn’t a typical Alpha either. “The pups Dean… I’ve got to say goodbye. Just in case.” Castiel told him steadily, “I’ll come back… But just in case I…” he didn’t want to finish that sentence. Not now, not ever.

“We’ll be fine, Cas. I was raised to be a bounty hunter, I got the skills to fight ‘em off.” He reassured his mate as he waved over James. He didn’t want to do this, didn’t want Cas to say goodbye. Even if it was just a precaution, he already hated it. He took Faelan and Cillian from James and offered Faelan to Cas first. The baby started to cry when the little tyke picked up the energy around him. He quite simply didn’t understand why uncle Sam was mad, or why his daddy and mommy were so sad.

“Awa..” Faelan babbled as he laid one of his tiny hands on Castiel’s chin, as if he wanted to reassure the Alpha -his pack leader- that everything was going to be alright. He didn’t have to be sad.

Dean sniffed quietly and wiped away a tear. “That’s right, Fae. That’s daddy. Say -… say.” He couldn’t say it, he couldn’t say those words. Say goodbye to daddy “Say something for daddy.”

“Ey, awa.” Faelan cooed before a coughing fit took over the baby’s ability to focus. Dean took Fae and placed Cill in Castiel’s arms instead.

“Who’s that Cill?” Dean smiled sadly as Cill reached out to Cas as well and sought out the interactions with his father. “Awa, ey.”

“Yeah, yeah that’s daddy.” Dean wiped another tear off his face and took Cill from Cas after a few moments. He pressed another quick kiss to Castiel’s lips. “Remember your promise… keep it.”

He felt as if someone just shattered his heart into a million pieces as the twins started fussing and the Omega had to watch from a small distance how the Alpha he loved was going to his doom..  Or so it felt for him.
