I want to make a statement, I've thought about this a lot and I'm still hesitant to share this but I think it is important

I stand with Evan Rachel Wood

Most of you know me here as someone who was a huge fan of Marilyn Manson, the first album I listened to and the one I hung off of the most was Eat Me Drink Me. My introduction to him in 2007 was paired with my introduction to Evan Rachel Wood. She was someone I wanted to be, I measured aspects of my life against her for about a decade and even almost got a matching tattoo. And, when I turned 19 (2013) I got involved with someone who even looked like Marilyn Manson, who also had an age gap from me, the parallels were very strong and had been important to me. After almost 5 years of things getting progressively more toxic 2017 and 2018 came around, it happened to Me Too

Evan gave her testimony in court 2 months later, her testimony helped me find strength and admit to myself what was happening. It was also very clear who that was about and that parallel also was not lost to me. She, in large part, helped me understand it didn't have to be that way and I was able to end it shortly after. The memory of those times in my life and the very idea of Marilyn Manson, for current reasons, and personal reasons the way I had embedded his persona in my life, makes me wanna puke

I wish I could thank her

Will Graham + Blood

All other filmmakers: Hugh Dancy is an English rose. We must cast him as knights and princes, and pretty boy love interests.
Bryan Fuller: Hugh Dancy is beautiful. Any day he is not drenched in blood is, quite frankly, wasted.

Hi Soap! This is gonna sound so crazy I know, but I actually found your account back in 2014 from your Raven cosplay (I was 11 at the time, I’m 18 now lol) and I just randomly thought of your cosplays and makeup the other day, I absolutely adored your style as a tween lol! Are you still cosplaying and/or working on any projects? Regardless, I’m really glad I found you again after all this time! Hope you’re doing well :)

Hi! Aw that's so nice I really appreciate this message, I am around still doing projects and have many cosplay intentions for when conventions are safer again. I've kind of dropped out of public view with them for a bit, large life changes and stuff but everything is much better now than ever for me

My current project right now is my wedding dress lol do you cosplay as well? Did we meet at a con ever?

More and more, I’m talking to folks under 30 who refuse to use food puzzles or slow feeders for their pets. The argument always goes, “I don’t believe that humans should have to work for their basic needs, so why should my pets?”

This has been baffling to me, because giving your dog a Buster Cube is not making it put on a suit and work a 9-5. Outside of the confines of capitalism, we would naturally grow or forage or hunt our food. Even if we’re handed our food and left to recreational pursuits, why do we go on walks to the ice cream shop? Why do we plant blackberry bushes and apple trees? Why do we pick berries and mushrooms on hikes? It feels fulfilling to forage. Food we noodled around to get often tastes better, and special treats are more fun when something makes them special. So you worry it’s cruel for your pet to have to work for their kibble? Get a nutritionally complete canned food or freeze-dried raw for the puzzle feeders, and let that be a special treat. No reason to only eat out of a boring bowl placed in front of your face twice a day. Even if we got our food supplied by the government, we would still enjoy shelling peanuts and baking pies and going for rides through the drive-through. You wouldn’t enjoy the local social worker just handing you a tv dinner at your door on a strict schedule.

Then, consider that your life is likely infinitely more self-fulfilling than your pet’s. You do not spend time in a cage or crate. If you sleep on the couch all day, it’s because you chose to. You have the autonomy to leave your house any time you’d like, and reach out to friends when you feel like it. You have books, movies, and music to fulfill your emotional needs. You have games, hobbies, and sports to fulfill goal-seeking behaviour. Even if you went on a hike today, you probably put on some tv or pick up a project when you get home. Even if your pet gets lots of exercise and toys, it can be beneficial to their mental well-being to have some goal-fulfilling behaviours available. And you could be surprised; they may not use the puzzle very often until one day they get bored and do.

I’m probably preaching to the choir on this platform, but like, you can be a socialist and give your dog a Kong.

Stupid comparison but tbh my dog approaches a kong or scattered kibble with much the same excitement as my childhood self organizing all the gummy bears by colours before eating them

There’s also evidence in parrots at least that they prefer foraging over eating from a bowl. Animals like working for their food.
