Please meet little Yuzu, who hatched three weeks ago and has been busy growing
She wanted to see what my snack was (It was an empty bowl. Sorry, bird)
warm and cozy on a blanket
but I wanted to use my keyboard.......
extreme closeup
flumphy balls of feather napping on the couch
She's bad at steering, so sometimes she lands on the pot rack and then gets confused about why she's on the pot rack
Hi sorry if this is rude and feel free to ignore this but i was looking though your blog and noticed that some of your birds wings are clipped and some arent and i was curious on why?
Again if this is rude or something then just ignore me lol
Hi, anon! Not rude at all :>
The short answer is that we mostly leave our birds flighted but clip them sometimes due to safety concerns. We moved this summer, and the birds spent a lot of time in unfamiliar places while we were en route to our new home, so we clipped everyone as a precaution in case there was an escape or they panicked. They're all in the process of growing out their wings again; some are further along than others, depending on whether they've molted the trimmed feathers yet.
