[ooc] So this is mostly just an assurance that I’m not dead! However, I will be putting Mai and Suki on a semi-hiatus so that I can rewatch all of ATLA and LOK to come up with more headcanons and such 8D until then, I can mostly be found on my Matsuoka Gou rp (from Free!) and on skype. Don’t worry, I have no intention of leaving the fandom and I’ll still post things every so often even while on semi-hiatus!

It's a simple blade and not very big, but I thought you might like the fact it was easily concealable and light to carry for when you're separated from your boomerang or a sword and need something to get you out of trouble.

With Mai's father and a few extra rebels captured, the Kyoshi Warriors were finally able to begin their journey back to the Fire Nation capitol. They started off in early daybreak and took the backroads through the forests, Suki wishing to safely return as hastily as possible to lessen the chances of other New Ozai Society reinforcements from other areas of the Fire Nation to retaliate with numbers not even they could fight off. They'd take as little breaks as humanly possible, opting to push through the discomfort now in order to reap the benefits later.
By the time they'd return, they would each be incredibly exhausted.

While Suki gave the girls the impression that they were simply picking up and transporting an important war prisoner, the truth was that Fire Lord Zuko had entrusted Suki to sabotage one of the large bases of operations for the rebel New Ozai Society to bring their leader into custody.
That leader being none other than Mai's father. What she told her fellow Kyoshi Warriors hadn't been a lie, but more so a withholding of information to protect Mai's name.
So when those New Ozai Society reinforcements came, Suki somewhat woefully allowed for her Kyoshi Warriors to serve as a distraction while she snuck her way into the enemy base. Within the base, she successfully disengaged and immobilized advanced enemy weaponry and transportation, as well as captured Mai's father.
Upon returning to the Kyoshi Warrior temporary base, Suki was pleased to find that her handful of warriors had managed to hold the line. They had endured quite a lot physically, and thus needed medical attention, but not one warrior had been lost.
This would no doubt please the Fire Lord to hear.

They ran into a bit of trouble as they neared the rendezvous point, a dozen of assassins trying to hinder their objective, but the small number of Kyoshi Warriors had managed to pull through thanks to their persistence, adaptability, and resourcefulness. When the area had been secured, they all tended to their wounds and Suki took a headcount.
The Fire Lord would want to hear about this, and she was sure that he'd be anxious for news on their progress.
