“Oh sorry. My name’s Burgh. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” The man seemed to be relaxing some. “So what brought you over here anyway?”

“I’m sorry. I hope you didn’t mind. I was just amazed by how beautiful Milotic’s performance was.

“Oh no need to apologize.” He chuckled softly as Milotic made a pleased noise and nuzzled the other man’s cheek. “Well you just made an instant friend in her.”

“I guess so.” Burgh gently pet her cheek and gave a warm smile. “She’s very pretty.”

“Thank you very-.” The man looked up and paused. 

“O-Oh. Aren’t you Wallace?” He knew exactly who the other was and was clearly embarrassed over being caught.

Wallace smiled while Milotic seemed to snicker. “I am, yes.~ But this lovely drawing here tells me you already know that.”

“I’m sorry. I hope you didn’t mind. I was just amazed by how beautiful Milotic’s performance was.

The gym leader was leaving the contest area when he spotted the artist. During the contest he had caught Wallace’s eye. He’d had the same paper then as he did now. Curious, he lead Milotic over to him quietly and looked over his shoulder. He found himself flattered to see a drawing of himself and Milotic being painted. With a smile he spoke up, “You’re very good.”

“Thank you very-.” The man looked up and paused.
