I have this picture blown up in my room and its incredible because all I had to do was look to the side and there he was.

His name was Paul Cole, an American tourist from Florida. He was bored with sightseeing so he left his wife at a nearby museum and was wandering around outside. “I like to just start talking with people. I walked out, and that cop was sitting there in that police car. I just started carrying on a conversation with him. … I just happened to look up, and I saw those guys walking across the street like a line of ducks. A bunch of kooks, I called them, because they were rather radical-looking at that time. You didn’t walk around in London barefoot.”

He didn’t know those kooks were the Beatles until a year later when he spotted the album lying in the family record player. He pointed at himself on the cover but his children didn’t believe it was him until they got out the magnifying glass.  Cole wasn’t a Beatles fan and never listened to Abby Road.
