So how would you rate Tessa now and early on and in between? I realize there's such a difference in what the male partner brings and what's necessary for the female partner but can you compare Tessa's musicality, edges, knees etc as well? I know together they make a near perfect pair. Thank you

Yay, I was hoping someone is going to ask about Tessa as well not that I already covered Scott 😊

Once again I’ll start with quoting smarter people (@macaroni-rascal):

“Well, it’s harder with Tessa cause she relearned to twice, technically 3 or 4 times if we count, post surgeries, post 2012 working with that man who’s name I forget, then again with mf and patch, though that was more technique. She was always expressive, had perfect arms, was amazing in lifts and had solid edges,  good knee bend, amazing posture and carriage from the ballet. She was a typical ice dancer, and she just got better and better and better, as Scott elevated his dancing ability, Tessa elevated her skating ability. She has always been marvelously musical, like watch valse triste and it’s just bonkers how musical she is as a teenager, she was never out of control the way Scott was with his upper body. She’s amazing because she improved WHILE injured and then continued and continued to improve there are moments when you see her injury for sure, early on in 2009 and stuff but she’s always been awesome, she just because phenomenal. It’s funny it’s like the bottom half of Tessa needed work and the top half of Scott needed work and they just rose to meet each other we love a partnership.”

And I’ll add that when you watch Tessa even when she was a baby skater you see how musical she was and how much she truly danced on ice. Her body lines were always exquisite, I doubt you will ever find a picture of her, mid skate, where she hits an ugly pose and isn’t 100% graceful and in control and that’s just amazing for me. One other thing I admire about her is her determination and resilience, I mean to go through 2 surgeries, to re-learn your craft after each yet realizing they are still not successful enough to relieve the pain and completely relearn how you skate. And to do it all while staying the best in her sport - the entire time and ever since 4CC 2008 Tessa and Scott have never finished off a podium. And then, you have post-comeback Tessa which is so amazing on its own - she came back stronger than ever, more confident than ever and better than ever when she was already so damn good. It was like she found this new sense of self, new sense of purpose and confidence and the way she carried herself was perhaps the best part about it. I mean just watch Tessa in the opening poses of Prince and Moulin Rouge and their Latin SD, her face hold so much power in them that you just know she owns the ice.

Tl;dr - Tessa and Scott are GOATs and nothing anyone says will ever make me feel differently.
