Sex Is Not My Enemy
That so called revolution
You never learn from history
So doomed to repeat until someone heeds
Sometimes it enrages me
Never said my way was best
I ain’t no poster for the so-called slut
But you dream of love forever, I’ll have my way
Even the wicked one
Write what you want, say what you desire
No feeling dirty, no scarlet letter
No judgement on a sexual life
Because I’m not sorry.
it’s time for me to love me (via pancakesandjcrew)
Extract #1
There’s something about Fridays. The heady scent of hedonism permeates the city’s air, intoxicating the nocturnal party-goers. Colourless liquids lubricate the throats of those weary from the grind, as they hoped to find respite from the glare of strip lights and the sight of an endless in-tray. It’s 9pm, and everyone’s amiable, friendly and united in their liberation. The city’s pulse quickens as the night draws in. Sometimes you just want to stretch that moment out forever, with no concern for night buses, the taxi queue or the Big Fight Live in Leicester Square.
It was here, where the city came to play as hard as it worked, that we found ourselves passing through in the back of the cab. Kirsty had felt pretty flush this week, deciding to take us out in style. Clearly this flush had extended to her choice of attire, a form-fitted burgundy dress adorned with velvet roses. I meanwhile, had opted for my old faithful, the gold brocade with flowing skirt. High heels, bare legs, red lips. Just call me Dita, darling. Oli sat lining her eyes, her shoulders shimmering gold in the lights of Waterloo Bridge as we passed over.
The city’s lights bounced in the waves of the Thames, shimmering across the water. The Houses of Parliament glowed in the distance, the dial of Big Ben chiming the half hour. 9:30pm, and the queues had begun.
“Where to then, Kirst?” I asked, in between touching up my lipstick, “What’s Central offering us tonight?”
“Hopefully not the same dive as last week” Oli chimed in, “Do you think I’m gonna waste such a beautiful dress on a place like that?” She had a point, considering her choice of royal purple body con.
“No, don’t you worry about that. Ladies, we’re hitting the finest tonight. We’ve never exploited this city enough, but all that’s about to change. It’s about time.”

Feedback welcome, as always.
Looking Up
And don’t mean in the ‘things are getting better’ sense. What I mean is that instead of looking down at how rubbish things are, perhaps it’s time I started looking up, and looking forward?
Just throwing it out there, really.
Light painting my name
Basically the only motivational quote I ever need.
Source - unsure, but if I’ve missed out the credit, let me know.
Unemployment
Much as I try not to let it bother me, I absolutely, completely and utterly hate being without a job.
I don’t want to be a massive downer though, so expect some positivity reblogs in the next hour or so...

Everyone’s the kid no-one cares about, you just gotta keep screaming ‘til they hear you out.
