Episode 40 - Jealousy

Hello Beloved!

It’s “work on myself season” so let’s get to work! Jealousy is something we all feel but often don’t know how to talk about. This episode I discuss how to work through jealous feelings (9:10), daily habits to developing discipline (30:45), and answer a question about getting the ex back that you mistreated (50:50).

Pretty sure that generation has been dead for awhile but ok, pretend one thing has something to do with another

The end of Jim Crow laws was in the 1950′s. The first black student to attend a formerly all white school was Ruby Bridges in 1960.

Here she is being walked to school under the protection of Federal Marshals because angry white people were ready to harm or kill her.

Here she is in 2010, eight years ago.

The generation that enforced segregation is not dead, fucko. They were our fuckin grandparents, and it was not that goddamn long ago.

Google is free.

Now all I need is some tips on how to be sure about what I want

The best way to find out what you want is to discover your talents. Find out what you’re good at and pursue something related to it. Quizzes are amazing too and definitely underrated. Good & Co is a good app that tells your strengths, how you’ll fit with companies, how you come across to others, etc. It helped me a lot, so I definitely recommend it. Good luck, fam.

10/10 advice, everyone should add on to this if you can

I love when Tumblr turns into Helpful Tumblr™

Cutting off hair in ancient Asia (Japan, china, Korea & possibly some other Asian cultures) symbolizes being banished or rejected from their home. In the more modern age that is now, cutting long hair into a short cut means to forget the past, leaving the old and starting anew.
