imagine youre 23 and you leave your childhood club and home to move to another country and team and its cold and its raining and you dont know the language well and the dialect of the city makes the language even harder to understand but youre excited and the players seems nice and the fans already love you before youve even played a game for them and then you meet the captain and you cant really understand a word of what hes saying but hes nice and funny and you hit of instantly and you work together on the pitch so well that football experts say that you can read each others minds and he brings out the best in you in every game and suddenly youre in a champions league final together against some of The best players in the world and everyone has already declared them as winners and youre down 3-0 at half time but you fight back and you win and you see how much it means to him because he was born and raised in this club and somehow it makes you want to fight even harder and run even more and you jump into his arms and you hug and in a post-match haze you even kiss on live television and when a much better team comes knocking he turns them down bc he cant imagine ever playing for another team and maybe you feel like he chose You over them as well but then you think it will all fall apart when the club doesnt want you anymore so you leave but even after youve left you keep in contact and he says youre the best midfielder hes ever played with and you think the same bc even if youre a multiple champions league winner now and have a room full of medals those few years you got to spend together in the same team was so special and then he retires so you post a cryptic black and white photo of the two of you with the caption ‘my hero. my mate.’ and then you get to play together again in a charity match and its like nothing ever changed and then when its your time to retire he has the nerve to say on video that when you left it broke his heart and also post a picture of the two of you from the night you won the champions league and kissed and write «i missed you every day from the moment you left» and what the fuck this is long as hell but you cannot read all this and decide that football isnt gay as fuck................. and also steven gerrard and xabi alonso love each other and thats not a theory its just facts.
