hi everyone this is my new beloved oc :3
her name is minette (genderfluid, she/him) and she is a sky godling and was set to inherit the throne of a kingdom high in the mountains, alongside the divine powers of her mother the sky goddess. thru a course of events i haven't decided the specifics of yet she's attacked by someone and her ability to wield the divine power is taken from her. as a result her parents revoke her status as heir to the throne and it's given to her sibling instead. she obviously feels betrayed by her family and hates the pitying looks the citizens give her, so she flees the kingdom and doesn't come back. because her true divinity was taken away she can never feel the warmth of the sun the way a being of the sky should again.
she ventured to a kingdom far away, secluded and very cold (think russia-esque) she can handle the cold well as a nonhuman being, she can weather the snow in bare feet, but she misses the feeling of warmth more than anything. she traveled here because she's heard of the god native to this area, he's a wolf king that's said to hide the warmth of the sun under his pelt. his gift of the heat made surviving the harsh winters easier for his people, who are the ancestors of people exiled into the cold to die. his people know him as king maksimilian but his given name is mikhail. minette wonders if the flame wolf can rival the warmth of the sun she used to feel, so she seeks him out.
she pesters the absolute fuck out of him. he tries to throw her out but she's ridiculously persistent. she lives in his village for hundreds of years and all the townsfolk grew to love her, thinking that she's just a forest nymph as she hides her true origins. her persistence pays off, after a few hundred years of pestering him he gives up trying to push her away and she finally gets to lounge about on him whenever she wants, and he is in fact very warm and she never wants to leave. queue this poor king trying to get work done with a little girltwink always slung over him. sitting in his lap, on the arm of his chair, on his shoulder, wherever. (he is a Lot bigger than her)
after a few hundred years he grows fond of her, it was a v long journey to weasel her way into his heart but she did it and they're very cute. eventually he wifes her up and is very protective of her.
