Okay I feel like I could be totally wrong on the time frame w this, but… Bethany was there when Marion was. Which means Charles was too? Lesli may or may not have been (don’t know the time span she was there). Age (oldest to youngest): Bethany (Toby’s age), Lesli (probably around CeCe’s age?), Charles Charles would be around Wilden’s age (he was a couple of years older than Jason), Marion (around the age of most PLL parents) Marion and Bethany are dead (probably Charles too), so they can’t give much information on Charles, but what about their visitors? Aunt Carol visited Charles (she’s dead). Mrs. D visited Bethany (she’s dead). Toby visited Marion (he’s not dead!). Did Toby see Charles? Also did Lesli see Charles? I really had a theory that Toby and Bethany were twins a while back (they would be they same age in the present), and Toby has always been weirdly connected somehow.

Marion died late 2007, it is 2012 now. So that was 5 years ago. Toby is (19 last time I checked) so he would’ve been like 14. (Aunt Carol died the same year that Alison disappeared btw, that might be relevant later).That would be the year before the Liar’s freshman year since Toby is like a grade above them. Ali disappeared Sept. 2009. Charles would be around (26?) in present PLL time, so he “died” ~10 years ago. ~10 years ago Toby was ~9, as was Bethany. I think it’s realistic to say that Marion was in Radley at that point, and Bethany and Charles are supposed to have met, right?

Okay, as I said before, Marion died late 2007. Toby was around 14. That means Ali was around 13. That is around the age of the flashback in which Ali is playing piano and Mrs. D comes in and yells at Ali bc CeCe was pretending to be Alison at Radley. This also means that CeCe could've very possibly seen/met/heard about Charles. Mrs. D didn't want Ali to hang around with CeCe, most apparent after this flashback. Maybe it was because CeCe did find out about Charles? So, the whole point of this post is who would want to embody the Charles persona? Is there a chance CeCe and/or Toby met Charles? Anyone who visited Radley or was in Radley while Charles would've been there is what I'm looking for. Any ideas/mistakes in this post please let me know!

Okay so how did Pastor Ted find those videos? I think he had them... like he wouldn't have just found them when he did. It was a while later. I think how there are suspicions that NAT was filming for someone else, maybe it was Ted. Plus the anagram spells Run Ali Ted is Charles, right? maybe that's what it is supposed to mean

What really happened that night: Theory

Flashback where Mrs. D is furious at Ali because CeCe was in Radley pretending to be Alison. What actually happened: Melissa is the mastermind behind this whole plan. She is telling CeCe what to do. CeCe meets Bethany Young at Radley. They bond over being blonde young women and later CeCe sends mail to Bethany, pretending to be Alison the whole time. The secret behind this is that Bethany Young is Jessica’s daughter. there could be more secrets or alternatives though like Mrs. or Mr. D having a sibling. Charles DiLaurentis could be Kenneth’s brother. Who’s old enough to be his brother without being another one of the other character’s parent? Harold Crane, who obviously has a secret. (Creepy Last Wood Resorts guy who was later a janitor at Rosewood High) Marion Cavanaugh could be Mrs. D’s sister. That is why Mrs. D tells her to call her Aunt Jessie.

now, why would it need to be a secret that they have a brother or sister? Mrs. D is so superficial that she doesn’t want anyone to know she has family in Radley. The two were separated as young children or put up for adoption. If you are going on the name Charles DiLaurentis, it would make more sense for someone who is Kenneth DiLaurentis’ brother since the last name was supposed to be the same.

Skip forward to Labor Day. CeCe has been writing to Bethany for a while now. CeCe convinces Bethany to sneak out for Labor Day. CeCe sends Bethany a yellow tank top and leaves one for Ali in her bedroom. When Bethany escapes and the staff find out, Mrs. D tells Alison (the real one) that she doesn’t want her going out. Alison says whatev and steals her mom’s sleeping pills to drug her friends. Alison meets the Liars in the barn to hang out. She puts the sleeping pills in their drinks (which I’m sure would cause memory loss and probably other side effects so wtf) and goes to meet her various boyfriends. All that stuff happens and then we skip ahead to Ali getting hit.

There are a few reasons that Bethany could’ve hit Alison. I think that the best idea is that Melissa/CeCe told Bethany something along the lines of “Mrs. D is your mom” and then Bethany goes all crazy on Alison because of jealousy or maybe to hurt Mrs. D. She would’ve known this secret for a while, if CeCe told her like right after she impersonated Ali at Radley (that’s why CeCe had all those drawings of Mrs. D being a liar and the devil). After CeCe impersonates Ali at Radley, CeCe tells Jessica that she knows Bethany is really her daughter and that is why Jessica says she doesn’t want Ali hanging out with CeCe anymore. CeCe was playing Ali the whole time. She is ultimately working for Melissa. Melissa must have a really big secret she needs kept, possibly involving CeCe. The story about Mrs. D burying Ali was completely conducted by A. Everyone was in on it to protect themselves. Mrs. D is the one that killed Bethany. She was the actual body that was dug up. Bethany is not alive. CeCe and/or Melissa witnessed Mrs. D killing her own daughter (Bethany) and whoever saw it (Melissa or CeCe) is the one that kills Mrs. D in season 5. Mona is in on it to. And Mrs. Grunwald. They all decided to tell the same story. If Ali was ever buried at all (that might’ve been a lie too), then A told Mrs. Grunwald to get Ali out of the ground, because they must’ve known that Ali wasn’t dead, maybe since Bethany had been standing right there she was Ali move or something. Like CeCe, Mrs. Grunwald was ultimately working for Melissa. A (Melissa) told Mona where Ali was (she was watching her and knew she had left the hospital) and told Mona to make her disappear, because that is the only way Melissa/CeCe would be able to keep the blackmail hanging over Jessica’s head while Jessica would still think Ali was dead. Bethany is Mrs. D’s daughter. Jessica is not protecting Bethany, she is protecting herself because she doesn’t want her secret found out. Bethany is the baby in the video at the Campbell farm. I bet that Jason told Melissa the secret after they found out they were half-brother and sister.

Okay so I think I just figured out something major, idk if people have thought of this yet. CeCe Drake. Her impersonation of Ali at Radley. That flashback wasn’t meant to show how much CeCe and Ali were alike, it was supposed to say CeCe was at Radley which means she could’ve met Bethany Young while she was pretending to be Ali! That means Bethany Young doesn’t know who Ali really is, she knows CeCe as Ali. CeCe talked to Bethany and Bethany met CeCe in Rosewood that night. Bethany thought CeCe was Ali and that is why she was wearing the yellow top that Ali had on!!!!!!!

Short theory: Harold is A. Harold was obsessed with Mona and would've helped her with the A game. That is how he got involved, at least. After something happened (maybe Harold finding out that Ali wrote those journals and not Mona) A stole the game from Mona. Mona/Alison was Harold's favorite.
