I love to discuss, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts with me. My name is Tica, and I am admin of Repair-Her-Armor.

At first I was going to draw a sad comic, because I couldn’t believe 2015 is already half gone. But the glass isn’t half empty… it’s half full! So get excited for an awesome rest of the year. The end of a series is always exciting. >u<

Emily Kaldwin, optional protagonist of Dishonored 2, was probably the best thing of E3 this year, certainly the best thing in terms of female costumes.

Especially since when I saw her in Dishonored she looked like this:

Full trailer is here, but be warned that it does contain some gore and outright gruesome imagery.  If you want to avoid that then skip to 0:58.

Women at E3 2015

Anonymous submitted:

Hey, awesome blog! You’ve already made a post about Emily Kaldwin in Dishonored 2, but I just wanted to ask your opinion on this year’s E3 in general. Not only were there more women presenters than ever, but signs of real progress when it comes to representation for women:
As noted, Emily from Dishonored 2!
The shieldmaiden from Eitr!
Lara Croft from Rise of the Tomb Raider, having finally exchanged her 90s male-gaze outfit for something one would actually raid a tomb with!
Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn! I think there’s still a discussion to be had here about cultural appropriation, but at least she was designed as a hunter rather than eye candy.
The protagonist from Recore!
Evie Frye from AC: Syndicate! I’m still really cynical about the fact that she’s more or less an add-on to her brother’s story and that she does the stealthy bits while her brother does the punchy bits, but her outfit is very reasonable.
Rae from Beyond Eyes! It’s great to see more non-violent games on display too.
The mercs from Dirty Bomb!
And of course, Faith from Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst.
The majority of characters on display are still white and slim, but it’s a noticeable improvement from last year – and it was nice to hear cheers from the audience when it was announced that women were playable in FIFA and Fallout 4.

Thank you the line up.  While certainly are issues with each individual game and depiction it is great that this year E3′s character line up included many badass women who are dressed to get shit done.

I sincerely hope this will become an ongoing trend in video games and one that lasts a long, long time.  We shall certainly have more to say on various titles as time and further information is released.

Things are getting serious in the Mushroom Kingdom! The Princesses are stepping up to kick some butt. A worrisome Peach fights for her Kingdom, the powerful Exor in hand. Daisy heats up the field with her Fire Bar sword, and recharges with a juicy Maxim Tomato. Rosalina swings away with her colorful Beam Sword- and thanks to some interstellar connections- has a few devastating Smart Bombs ready to toss!

Check out the Mario Princess Thieves and Gunners!

And here we go again - My random shit went viral XD

This is not the only article or page where these edits have spread, but I think this page had the most interesting comment section! It’s filled with fellow animators/illustrators who know what they are talking about and have very valid points when it comes to character design. I never intended to start a debate, but one started none the less and as an aspiring animation director it’s very interesting to read (if only some people could stop for a second and realize that I’m not against the original designs… (except for Mother Gothel)).

Just so you know: I’m totally on the “we don’t need more realism, we need more diversity” boat!

Surprise to some of my critics, I am also in that boat!

Evolution of a princess!

Her name is Princess Pinecone, like a floral name, but just a little pricklier.  The pony was always there in one shape or another, but the princess was new.  I remember thinking the first one was maybe too “Katniss.”  I still like the football eye-black paint smears.  Ready to rumble!  She started out looking older, and was aged down, into the relative shape of most of the things I draw, which is round.

It’s out in many stores right now, judging from my twitter feed.  But officially it is out July 1!

“Let’s say I go about my business… and when there’s coin to be earned, I don’t readily turn it down.
