Dogs surrounded her on the comfort of her bed setting. Ailee was at her most relaxed state with little to do and worry about. The occasional sound of thunder brought her eyes to the nearby window, but most of her attention was on the messages that she casually went through and answered. A soft smile was brought to her lips when a familiar person popped up onto her screen. She swiped everything else away and typed a response to what seemed like urgent matters on Jonghyun’s end.
( sms ) The comfort of my bed is keeping me quite busy ㅋㅋ ( sms ) Just kidding I’m not busy at all ( sms ) Do you need me to save you from those demons?

( 9:20 PM ) Yes. I need you here right now.

( 9:22 PM ) You know how scary it is to watch movies like this alone?? I feel like I’m being watched. 

He really thought he could handle watching a horror movie by himself. When is he ever going to learn that he’s just not cut out for films like this? Hell, he even thought something like paranormal activity was scary. So yes, he was desperate of her company-- it was a very pressing matter, actually.

The younger male peeked up to the other and whines quietly. He was always out on strange hours, that’s a fact. You couldn’t blame the stressed singer to have problems sleeping. “Be glad I offer you night adventures and some fun. I just couldn’t sleep…again” Jimin puffs his cheeks in a cute manner and looks over to the stalls. Ah - All he wanted was Kimchi stew and some noodles. “They have eeeeverything here… even fries! this is perfect, come Hyung!” And with that he tugged his friend into the market. Smiling cheerfully.

He does have a point. Jonghyun doesn’t get treated to late night adventures unless it’s with him, so who is he to complain? Plus, he couldn’t deny his rumbling stomach any longer and the delicious smell in the air from the market is only making him hungrier. “You know, it baffles me every time-- how do you have so much energy? All the time?” It’s amusing, for sure and it definitely wakes Jonghyun up. “But hey... why haven’t you been sleeping?”

A querywhich would have been paired with a troubled emoji had this conversation arisenvia text messages. She needn’t wait for long for an explanation to be supplied toher question. He’s talking about the situation involving man’s best friend thathad occurred just a few days ago. ❝That dog was very cute.❞ In fact, she had found their temporary canine companion socute that sounds one would usually make at an infant had been elicited by her. ❝I didn’t ditch you for a dog.❞ Conviction wavers almost instantly. ❝Did I really go off after the dog?❞ A question to which he already knows the answer. Hermemory bank however cannot locate a conclusive answer within that particularmoment. ❝I don’t remember.❞  Merriment is coaxed from her throat, gaiety which soon begins to simmer down and disappears in the space of a fewmoments. A hand soon makes contact with his forearm, ❝I’m sorry.❞ And whilst small remnants of humor are sprinkled across herprofile it shouldn’t dilute the sincerity of her apology.

As much as he wanted to keep up his stubborn antics, he couldn’t deny that his weak and soft heart gave into her heartfelt apology. It was just a dog and in all honesty-- he’d probably do the same in her position, so who was he to judge? “Okay, okay...” It was tempting to laugh and even roll his eyes at how dramatic he was being. “I’m not even mad anymore-- I kept this all up for show. Buuuuuuuut, you still owe me. I’m thinking a nice and yummy pastry plus a hot chocolate would be great right now...”

     ‘ yah! just leave me be will you? i’m having fun.. ’ she frowns at him her hands gripping the bars tightly, slightly fearful that she would fall. but she wouldn’t let him know that. the stubbornness in her wouldn’t allow her to admit to him that she was scared and didn’t exactly know how she was going to get down. ‘ i’m fine, see? i won’t fall. ’ she let go of the bars for a second before putting the back on when she felt herself starting to slip, she was stuck now. this was a bad idea.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea to demonstrate--” a little too late, her hands were already falling from the bars and he’s embarrassed to admit that he did get scared for a moment there; his heart nearly skipping a beat. At this point, having her secured on the ground sounds much better than having her dangle up above. “Why don’t you come down now, huh?”

"You're going to get hurt if you keep that up," Jonghyun clicks his tongue, leaning against one of the beams of the large jungle gym while he watches her hoist herself up onto the monkey bars, dangling like a monkey, acting like a fool. "And if you fall and scrape your knee, don't expect me to help patch you up." He crosses his arms, tucking his hands into the warmth of his hoodie. He's lying, though. He knows that if she falls, he'll most definitely have bandaids at the ready.

"Mind passing me the eggs...?" Jonghyun cranes his head up to look over at the other male, a bowl in his arm and a whisk in his free hand as he mixes the concoction inside-- the batter is still too sticky. "I just need one more and then we can put this in the oven." 

He doesn't cook or bake as often as he'd like to (especially since he doesn’t think he’s too good at it), due to his busy schedule, but the things his mother has shown him in the past are bubbling to the front of his memory and he couldn’t resist being in the kitchen; plus, being surrounded by the sweet smells was definitely a bonus to baking.

A horror movie marathon paired with the storm outside wasn't doing much good for Jonghyun's paranoia. He’s scared as hell and he’s alone. He swallows thickly when a branch scrapes against his window, making his stomach lurch-- and he doesn’t take a second longer to get his phone from his pocket, sending out a quick text. ( 9:12 PM ) Are you busy? There's a literal demon in here. ( 9:13 PM ) .. Okay, maybe not, but still.

“I’m still mad at you, you know?” Yes, he’s being pretty childish in this particular moment, not to mention he’s stubborn-- Oh yeah, he’s definitely going to remember how Soojung completely skipped out on him when they specifically planned on that day to hang out together. It’s been a few days now yet... here he is, still wallowing in "sadness" and being downright dramatic. “I still can’t believe that you ditched me for a dog-- I mean, I get it. Who can resist a dog? But really?”

“I found your performance during the mic change to be spectacular-- and no, I’m totally... totally not being sarcastic right now, believe me.” Oh yes, he watched GOT7′s dazzling execution of the mic change and yes, he laughed... he laughed a lot. As compelled as he felt to even crack the faintest smile right at this moment, he held his stoic expression with whatever control he still managed to have; the mirth in eyes, however, became a dead giveaway. “I’m telling you, Jaebum. You guys really wowed me, I loved it.” It was no use trying to keep in his laughter now, it was just too tempting. How could he not laugh? The voice changes were just... hilarious and even thinking about it now still made Jonghyun crack up.
