For once, Sasuke would READILY admit to being too hasty- careful planning and calm delivery was his primary focus most days. Today, the wind breezed through onyx hair with a chill that could have rattled the bones of anyone else. However, fire and nightmares don’t grow cold- no, impatience and destruction EMANATED as entropy does. The best way to describe the two in laymen’s terms-

Sasuke’s heartbeat spiked, body practically aching as it begged to attack. It had been months since Zabuza agreed to their terms, working together ever since in order to control the crime between their villages. Taking out scum, and these guys were the worst- memories blinded the Uchiha with crimson rage. An outlet, for the anger that stirred deep in his stomach any time he stayed in one place, pretending.

Yes, he knew having his student accepted back into the village would take a great deal of time. But that didn’t mean HE had to treat Sasuke as an outsider, despite their vicious encounters in the past. But that’s the past and it’s best left there, it’s how the masked man thought. ❝ Hmm, wasting your time? I’m only ordering you some food, like old times. Don’t my efforts count for anything? ❞ Voice remain calm yet with that bit of SARCASM that’s always added into his tone. It hadn’t taken very long for their bowls to be served, this had been one of the reasons it’s his favorite to dine at. Quick and always tasty.

Breathing deep, Sasuke tried to coral his attitude. PART OF ATONEMENT IS SOCIALIZING. Kakashi was a complicated figure to him, he couldn’t understand whether the older man was a father or a brother. Whatever he may be, the Hatake was one of the only people who could genuinely ever understand his past. A dark gaze fell upon the table, too many noises ASSAULTED foreign ears- it was too soon.

Knowing the man, this was a roundabout way of trying to assess Sasuke’s adjustment. That’s something the Uchiha could appreciate, the lack of awkwardness or pity.
