We’re back for more Butch Yang Week! Get ready to celebrate the butch lesbian identity from 7/22/24-7/28/24. Please be sure to read the additional guidelines in the posts below before participating!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Butch Yang Week whether it was artistic creation, reblogging, commenting or adding to a discussion in a meaningful way. BYW may be over but there are still some late entries so be sure to check the tag every once and a while!

In addition, this doesn’t have to be the first/last time talking about Yang’s masculinity or what it means to you. Please continue to have those conversations, making art/fics, etc. It’s a smaller hc and all we have are each other. I really do appreciate every one of you.

There will probably be another BYW much later in the year before it shifts to just being an annual event. There are ideas/changes to be made to ensure this is a great inclusive event for everyone and also aligns with its initial concept. More details to come much, much, much later.

For now, please rest and be proud of what you accomplished! Several people highlighted how warm it felt having a week where they could see themselves in a character like Yang. #butchyangweek even trended for a few days (on twitter)! A #butch yang tag has even started here on tumblr, which is a very touching and easy way to connect with one another! That couldn’t have happened without any of you. Thank you.

i like the idea of blake casually referring to yang as her butch. i think nora would accidentally find out yang likes to get called prettyboy by teasing her and her and ren would have prettyboy prettygirl solidarity. yang would correct people that call her miss/maam and she gets a kick out of people calling her sir.
