None of the relationships are going to change and the url will be the same (as this will become an archive), but I just don’t feel comfortable with several things about this blog. ▐ ❀✿▐ — ; Although Erika did strive to keep her reputation looking clear so her position as a role model would not be hindered, that was something she couldn’t worry less about at the moment. When Sabrina took hold of her hand, the botanist had actually thought about withdrawing herself, but was too focused on listening to what the other had to say. All of this, even sounding forceful and bitter, was Sabrina’s version of a confession, wasn’t it? It was the other’s way of admitting the same thing that Erika previously admitted — just in her own harsher words.

She could accept that. The way it was said didn’t matter to her right now. In their situation, it was something along the lines of their relationship together would have to stay silent, for if anybody found out, it would be painful. A secret can be kept if one is metaphorically dead. Nothing would work. And Erika knew this — respected it, even.

As stubborn as the botanist could be, she would accept what fate had given them. Wordlessly, the ravenette stood up once more, smoothing the fabrics of her hakama skirt with the backs of her hands. She bowed towards Sabrina, and headed to the doorway again, stopping as soon as she placed a hand rather forcefully on the doorway itself, looking back with dark, almost expressionless eyes. “They say if you love something, it is best to let it go.” That was the moral of Sabrina’s speech, was it not? And with that, the botanist was gone. Was she angry? No. Was she sad? Maybe. Everything was too hard to decipher at the moment.

Sabrina never tore her gaze away, watching Erika's reaction intently. Sharp, sanguine eyes, so much like a Seviper's scrutinizing the other leader's every step of the way, looking for even the slightest slip of emotion. It was nothing she hadn't already seen, only further proving what she already believed, a further disappointment, up until the very last of her words. She hadn't given any verbal response in return, none other than a harsh snort at such a cliched response.

And the door snapped shut then as the psychic leaned back to stare at the ceiling of her room.

its kinda sad, also he's surprised by how easy it is to talk to her too? usually with being gym leaders and all he usually goes to that as a default if he isn't comfortable, but with her he doesnt have to do that...

He'll stay unaware for as long as she can help it too, 'cause she's already got a hint to what he thinks about team rocket from that one incident long ago (not that he's tried to hide it). The only reason it hadn't been brought up before that moment was because 1) he didn't ask 2) she's not stupid; she knows what most folks think about the team.

But mannnn, the day he finds out will be a very emotional day.

I think it's 'cause neither of them really hold back or have to hold back? They don't have to try be polite or act like whatever others expect them to be? And they don't clash too terribly. They just can be, and it's just a liberating sort of thing. Even if there are some formalities at first, it quickly melts away 'cause they're comfortable enough at this point to talk about personal things? ~~Never mind how she's genuinely interested in what he's got to say about stuff.~~

But, uh, I'll save one of 'em then??? Until I find something better to kinda jump on.
