Hello little kid! Hope you all have a nice summer. When do we get any spicy news about your upcoming releases? I'm very excited, as always, love and thanks

FRESH FISH FOR SALE: ICY COLD AND YUMMY
I’ve been trying to organize the boxes of mostly-unlabeled cassettes (demos, field recordings, etc.) that I’ve accumulated over the past few years, and I’ve come across a few interesting finds.
Here’s an early 4-track demo of River of Blood that I completely forgot about.
hey!! this is kinda late but i was just wondering what the inspo behind the sunmilk artwork was. i see it as a few different things so i was wondering if its supposed to be abstract n up to interpretation or is it a specific idea?
well, for what it’s worth, the painting existed before the album did! it was painted by our friend james chia han lee (jlee.ca).
tbh i think we were drawn to it because a) it’s beautiful and b) it’s kinda orange (and i have been very into orange for the past couple years - i feel like we wanted the cover to be orange before we even considered asking james to use the painting).
there is a hidden, true meaning to the title of sun milk, but, on its surface, i was drawn to the way it could be interpreted either as something warm and sweet and pleasant (like drinking the sun somehow), or something disgusting (like sour milk left out in a windowsill in the sun). i feel like the cover goes well with that idea, in that it has beautiful colours and there’s a sort of refreshing aspect to it with the light blue and the ice… but if you think about what that scene probably smelled like, it was probably not so lovely…
there’s also an element of that cover bringing to mind little toronto shops / markets and the busy but lonely aspects of living in the city, and the album does feel related to that for me.
just some thoughts off the top of my head, but james might have more insight on what prompted the original painting!
Thanks Kenny <3
Yeah that’s pretty much it - we were on the same wavelength with it!
I wanted to take something mundane and kind of ugly (a bunch of decapitated fish) and pull something new and beautiful out of it. Pretty-ugly. I also have fond childhood memories of Chinatown fish markets, so there was a personal, emotional thing for me too; partly a meditation on growing up in a first-gen immigrant family.

I made all this stuff for @littlekidmusic’s new album “might as well with my soul”. Please check it out here and have a listen :-)

Hello lil kiddie. Any plans on EU releases? Shipping right now is more expensive than the product and i feel bad for not buying Sun Milk physical yet. Love from europe.
no plans! but if you wait a few months you could order sun milk + our next album and maybe that would make the shipping more worthwhile :)
Hi! I know you said you don't come on here often, but I just wanted to ask something. First of all my sister introduced me to logic songs probably around 2 years ago, and I fell in love with it, as I did with sun milk. (I've had Dim light coming down on repeat on spotify for a while). Anyway, was curious to know if you guys are considering going on tour at all, I live near New York and I'm dying to see a live show! Thanks!
hi! thanks a lot for the message :)so grateful to hear you've been following this project for so long!unfortunately i don't know how likely a tour in the US is for us. the whole visa process is expensive and intimidating to me. we hardly even tour around ontario / canada tbh. i would really love to travel and play shows but i just don't see it happening... but if we do come down that way someday, definitely come say hello :)
here’s a weird one… originally was an intro to an early demo of “in church”- i remember recording it in the wee hours of the morning, same night as “fear of the lord”
felt inclined to share a demo from the flowers era <3
we recorded bed tracks for 4 new songs yesterday. hoping to have an album finished by early january to be released some time later next year :)
we don’t post too often ‘round these parts so ICYMI we released an album this past summer called SUN MILK... as per usual you can download it for free or opt to purchase it in either a digital or (lovely) physical format <3
i don’t log in here super often but i do enjoy receiving messages / questions when i do! feel free to keep them coming or get in touch at littlekidmusic@gmail.com
<3 flowers ‘n’ trains forever <3

Aww that sorta blows, I was really hoping to even buy the VHS Demos, Clock Radio Demos and Other Demos just to complete it.
hmm well those sets of demos were just uploaded as i was working on logic songs so most of those songs, even some of those recordings, ended up on that album. it was a time when my friends were pretty much the only people interested in what i was doing and i was uploading works-in-progress to share with them. i don't feel comfortable presenting them as any sort of finished collection as they are...but i have been thinking that some day i should put together some kind of collection of demos for a limited tape release or something like that... i have 4-track demo versions for every song we have ever included on an album, plus a handful that didn't make it onto an album... so maybe you'll get a chance to hear them and more eventually :)
"Nothing That Is Was Ever Meant to Be" is a powerful combination of succinct, cathartic lyrics and stripped down-feeling instrumentation. I'm listening through Sun Milk now too and I keep coming back to the world weary-sounding "Slow Death in a Warm Bed." Thank you for making music and I wish you and the whole band well.
thank you! so glad you are connecting with the newer albums
Hey I'm the guy who asked about the Sun Milk lyrics. I totally understand not wanting to share them as a whole with the album. The lines I'm wondering about are the very first line of The Fourth as well the first half of the chorus. Also the last word of the chorus of Dim Light Coming Down... "Slipping in like a ???" Thanks for clarifying :)
"sperm swam at random""you can cycle through chords as i drum to the sound of crying and gnashing of teeth""slipping in like a tongue" and later "slipping in like you've done"
I was wondering if you had your Clock Radio Demos somewhere. I really wanted to complete my collection of yours, and I can't seem to find them anywhere. Thanks!
sorry, i don't share those anymore (because most of them aren't very good). your collection is complete without them!
