My first set of Sapphire fan gems, Midnight and Padparadscha! They make up a permafusion called Mystic Sapphire who I will post next, but first some info about these two.
Midnight Sapphire is of Pinks court, made during era one. Her gem sits just below the hollow of her throat.
Her personality is both haughty and meticulous, she knows her higher status and enjoys the perks that come with being Her Clarity for her diamond. However, she also desires to be more individualized, to be Important for more than a normal Sapphires role. Which is what draws her down an otherwise impossible path when she encounters the defective orange sapphire.
Padparadscha Sapphire is also of Pinks court, made near the end of era 1 and would never have been allowed to exist if not for Midnight's intervention. Her gem sits at the back of her neck.
Her personality originally was sweet but cautious, unfortunately however she never had a chance to develop the kinder portions of who she was due to the reactions of the other gems around her when she emerged.
An off color, she came out as close to a Proper sapphire as she could in appearance. The details not to mention her color gave her away however, and when it became apparent she had no future vision, the Peridot in charge of her kindergarten was ready to write her off as a harvest loss.
As the order was given, instead of her future where she would be shattered, Padparadscha instead saw the Peridots past, and all the orders of similar nature that had sent gems to their fates. Including one where the gem had not in fact been shattered but cracked, and fled before the process could be finished.
In desperation the off color recounted her vision, and the truth of that botched shattering. The peridot summoned Midnight to see whether or not this odd power would be of any use, and the other sapphire delighted in the oddity and Uniquenes of the other gem.
This taught Padparadscha that manipulation, and what she Knew was important, and that only by sticking with Midnight Sapphire would she be tolerated.
Midnight brought the defective sapphire before Pink diamond and proposed that they 'combine' their powers into something far more powerful. Not 'fusion' in a sense as that was forbidden between two different gems, but combination of the same type to make a stronger version.
Pink diamond agreed, and the two fused to create Mystic Sapphire, the Seer of Past Truths and Predictor of Futures.
