I read and still own almost every single one. They are in a storage box somewhere. I used to reread the series regularly, plus I watched the show, which was amazing, and I had a computer game. I loved everything about them, especially how you could always skip chapter one because it was basically identical in all the books.

I can’t even tell you how excited I was that they turned this book into a movie and it was good

I literally have absolutely no complaints with the movie at all. Once, my friend and I did comparisons from the book and the movie, and we found the only major difference was the fact that Stanley wasn’t heavy set when he arrived at the camp in the movie. The majority of the script is raw quotations from the book. This is my favorite book to movie adaptation and it did everything Percy Jackson, Inkheart, and The Golden Compass didn’t.

And the only reason Stanely wasn’t heavy set was because in the book he loses tons of weight and eventually ends up being almost thin. The director said he didn’t want to force an adolescent boy to lose weight on such a quick filming schedule, and L’bouf’s audition was so spot on, that they decided to go with a thinner Stanely from the beginning

The only movie adaptation that matters.

She literally collapsed in front of one for her symptoms to be taken seriously and that was years after she was already seeking help. Years! And the one person that believed her was another actor that she didn’t even know!

I sat in front of an NIH researcher and explained how I was a #1 NYT Bestselling author but I’d had to pull out of domestic tour stops and cancel all my international tours for the first time in my career and how I couldn’t focus to race cars anymore and how I couldn’t put together words enough to write a novel for the first time in a decade and some days I couldn’t remember my address or digest food. I was willing to put in the work to get my brain back, I said, but I just didn’t know what I had to do, if there was anything I could do.
