I really hate when fans say that if Bruce had not taken Jason in then Jason would have died young and homeless. Saying that still makes Jason a prop in Bruce's story.

The other option I see is he would have just become a criminal. Even Bruce himself says that in the UtRH movie. Alfred called says he was dangerous in the comic. But come on, were talking about the kid that stoped a crime ring at his school before he was ever robin. Were talking about the boy who died trying to save the mother who had just betray him. Were talking about the character who's moral compass is as strict as batman him selfs. He wouldn't have just become any old criminal like Willis or any of the Gotham Rogues.

No, you know what he would have done? He still would have become Red Hood. Maybe by a different name because the name Red Hood is tied to the joker but I still think he would be doing the same thing. He'd look at the neighborhood that he grew up in. He's look at the system that repeatedly failed him and his family and he's say "I'm gonna fix it." Because thats really what he's trying to do in UtRH (the comic more than the movie). The system in place in crime ally really isn't the government that gave up on them but the criminal empire. He would see creating his own gang as a way to help his city.

Even without Batman, Jason Todd was destind to be a hero.

Exactly, thank you. Jason Todd has a good nature. You can be born in the suburbs and be a good person.

Of course, of course the concept of justice is different from a high-class man with luxury crashing into him as if he was owed it.

But Jason is a hero in his heart and would become what he NEEDS within Crime-Alley. What really within his community can change things for the better

Honestly I love when writers play on Jason and Tim dynamic in the right way. In Urban Legends finally we can see how Jason respects Tim for being the first Robin he CHOSE to be. And even here in this panel, I liked how "Tim" is the only name Jason uses. He no longer calls professionally

Please Give me Tim, appearing in the Batmobile, decked out in a Robin costume that’s juuuust close enough to Jason’s, that Bruce has to do a double take.

Give me Tim, kicking and screaming his way through the afterlife, until he’s spat out, into the Batmobile’s passenger seat, to a hesitant “Jay?”

Give me Tim, furiously trying to take off the costume, take off the mask that’s covered his eyes for so long, he’s forgotten his eye colour

Give me Tim, giving up existing outside thr Robin role, trying his best to be Robin, but not like Jason.

Give me Bruce and Tim, both trying not to get caught in the past, trying desperately not to think of the boy who came before

Give me Gotham mobsters, wondering why nobody can land a hit on the new Robin

God, I love him he’s so unserious😭😭

I think,,, I think Bruce was actually considering it?😭

Also this:

He’s such a little shit to Bruce and I LIVE for that.

And by the way, he ends up preventing a bloodbath with this money. (Not that I’m exactly happy about the implications it had, but anyway.)
