       [ I’m free, but I can’t say if Travis is. He’s still        mourning over his breakup with Mary Beth.]

   [ Oh, yeah. I heard that got pretty messy. He’s     not really said anything to me about it. Is he      doing okay? ]

  “If I write down the number it will show that I’m interested in more than one night and that is not what I am interested in. So, if I can remember the quick ten digits long enough to call them, I can forget the number forever.”

      He smiled at her comment about learning English. It was natural for the language to roll off his tongue so effortlessly. One time he pretended to know sign language to bang a chick, but it didn’t seem appropriate for this conversation. 

     “Well sure, but aren’t girls going to be more likely to sleep with you if they think you’re       interested? Either way I think my womanizer question has been answered. You don’t       like meaningful relationships, I take it? Ones that last longer than a night....’’

She couldn't really judge of course. She was in college after all. And her ‘meaningful’  relationships had been, for the most part, disappointing. After taking a drink and letting her hands warm around the mug, she throught for a moment before asking,

   “Also. Why laser tag? I mean, sure it’s pretty cool but it’s a bit of an odd choice.”

“Okay so maybe he’s kind of cute. I mean, he told his mom about me, how sweet is that?

Oh, I think he’s studying  philosophy. Though I’m not sure I’ve actually seen him  going to many classes.’’
