Traveling for conventions is no joke, Phoenix Fan Fusion took a lot out of us and we’re still trying to recover. Here’s a commission we did at the con in the mean time. Lots of game of thrones commissions! . . . . #tormundgiantsbane #gameofthronesart #commissionsopen #comicartist #inkdrawing #girlsinanimation #comicart #animation #comicbookart #penandink #doodle #sketch #fashiondrawing #fashionillustration #traditional #pencildrawing #editorialillustration #drawing #decorativeart #pattern #disneyart #cartoon #illustration #illustrationoftheday https://www.instagram.com/p/ByY9FTBg78l/?igshid=t9wjf274ct1k
How do you deal with artist block
Hi anon! Sorry for the late response! I have a few ways I deal with artist block. 1. I try to draw at a costume drawing workshop all the time. It forces me to draw even when I have no idea what to draw, because the model is right there. If it’s difficult to find a workshop near you, I’d just go out into the world and find opportunities to draw. At a cafe, zoo, park, beach. Sometimes going out and living the world helps give you ideas.
2. This one is what helps me the most. I usually have like 5 projects going at once. Instead of trying to come up with the next thing to draw, I like there to be a product of all my hard work at the end of it. Maybe it’s a zine full of sketches or maybe it’s a series of images around a theme that could be turned into a gallery show or a calendar or just a bunch of great prints and buttons. That way I always have something to do or am thinking of the next thing I want to do.
Hope that helps!

quit tagging your marvel shit as DC comics what the hell dude
Hello Anonymous! I tag it that way to get my work out to the general comic community. Not sure why it would offend anyone...?
Been super busy lately but couldn't resist jumping on the bandwagon. Ive been trying to make an effort with this whole social media thing this year! I'm glad my work has been received so well. Would you by any chance still have a Black Canary print? I adore your art and style. Thanks for your time :) -Brian

Are you going to sell your prints on an online store after comikaze?
I will try to have an online store up and running in the coming months to try to sell the leftovers and possibly do reprints of some of them. Meanwhile, if there are specific prints you want, just contact me via email at janet.chan.arts[a]gmail.com and we could do the transaction over paypal.
