I went to the Canucks practice a few days ago and this was a closed practice where the only other people sitting in the arena was a man who worked at Rogers Arena and his kid who he brought along. After practice the Canucks were slowly getting off the ice and the kid ran down to the railing where the players walk off. Eddie Lack picked up his goalie stick and handed it to the little kid who was beyond excited about it.

Let me remind you that there were no outside fans in the arena, it was just the kid and Eddie Lack.

If you still believe that hockey players only act nice in front of media then you are beyond wrong. I've gained so much respect for Lack.

It’s sad that Rielly’s comment “You’re not here to be a girl about it” is being excused as him “simply discussing a positive mindset” because being a girl means that I can’t have a positive and determined effort towards hockey?

I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve been told to my face that girls hockey isn’t a real sport. The funny thing is that I’ve never seen more determination and will from the group of girls that show up several times a week to the rink and gear up to play the game that they love. These girls have been put down by so many yet they push past everything that’s thrown at them and they’ve got the bruises and championships to prove it. Hell, we’ve got the suspensions, fights on video, and ambulance rides to prove that we’re anything but weak.

I noticed that you commented on that Eddie Lack picture "that toque though", I probably sound really dumb right now but what is that? I have never heard of that term.

If I'm right toque is the Canadian equivalent to "beanie" ahah I was just pointing out how cute his hat is
