The best part is that, from my understanding, there were quite a few scenes where George Miller said “No this is too dangerous we’ll do this in post” and the rest of the crew was like “NO LETS DO IT NOW WE CAN DO IT”

Tom Hardy described it as slipknot meets cirque du soleil 

literally they hired cirque du soleil acrobats to get the aerial stunts right.

George Miller is like the anti-Hitchcock. Hitchcock threw lives birds at people and fucked them up and George Miller goes ‘no you can’t have people on see-saws with engines at the end going 500 miles an hour!’ and the actors are all like ‘bitch try me’.

I love desire paths. There's something so wonderous about seeing an echo of humanity. Depending on it's location, a desire path can mean so many different things.

In a city, like the pic above, they represent rebellion, and efficiency. The messiness of humanity. We like to imagine we're oh so logical and neat so we design our cities to be logical and neat an then real humans literally trample on that idea. The ego required to think you can design something perfect that checks every box. Life is all about compromise and patching stuff when some new problem arises. Though people have certainly tried! Ohio state univeristy let students carve their desire paths, and then paved them over. It looks pretty artsy.

Some people will try to discourage desire paths, but this is almost always going to fail.

Eventually, people just have to accept them. Humans are too dang stubborn.

Certain desire paths are just adorable. A 0.5 second time saver. You just can't design for maximum efficiency, humans will always find shortcuts!

Though on occasion a desire path can actually be the least efficient way...especially if you're superstitious.

In a wilder area, such as below, they show us the curiosity of humans. A desire path somewhere natural often tells you there's something interesting just ahead. (Though remember some ecosystems are fragile and will suffer if trampled! Stick to paths in these sorts of areas)

And how about desire stairs? I always think these look so cool. We get see humans determination to climb, to traverse every kind of terrain.

And for something really crazy...a desire path used for centuries will create a 'holloway'

Okay so you know in the Clone Wars animated film, Rex is able to resist Ventress’s mind trick (at least in part, idk if he completely resists it). He calls Anakin by his first name, instead of his last. This throws Anakin off enough to tip him off.

I’m wondering if this is something Anakin taught Rex. Jesse isn’t able to resist Maul’s mind probing. Granted what Maul did is different than what Ventress did, and I think Maul is stronger than Ventress.

BUT it was foreshadowing. Rex is able to resist the chip, at least a little bit. But it’s enough. Jesse is not.

He yells at her to stay back and to find Fives before finally succumbing to the Order. I am wondering if this is due to Anakin training him to fight back against mind tricks. If so, Anakin gave Ahsoka a chance to survive by way of Rex.

it’s not a “man problem,” it’s not baked into their dna, it’s a choice that these shitheads are making. by presenting it as inherent to men it lets the shitheads off the hook (another flavor of boys will be boys rather than recognizing their behavior and choices as awful) while giving people a free pass to harass marginalized men and trans people because men are Inherently Evil and therefore deserve it.
