I love how independent and strong she is, even if she made mistakes, normally girls in kdramas don’t have this personality and that’s something I really enjoyed. Also the love triangle, it’s different from other kdramas too.

Today I was watching Knowing Bro, Men on a mission, A brother I know…call it by the name you want it. I mainly watched the episode because of Ji Hyo. Don’t get me wrong, I really like Lee El, but Ji Hyo was like a walking powerhouse.
As you may already know, I’m an avid watcher and fan of Running Man, I’ve been watching from the very beginning and while watching Knowing Bros I was thinking “I wish Ji Hyo had that much screen time in Running Man. Look at her, she practically owned the show, she was fantastic” and then they started to talk about that day we thought Running Man was going to be cancelled, news of Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji hyo being fired started to spread, Kang Ho Dong was going to join and I was thinking it was going to be the downfall of a beloved show.
Lets keep things straight, I don’t like Kang Ho Dong, I don’t like the way he hosts the shows I’ve watched so far. And if we have Jae Suk and Ho Dong, we were going to relive the X-Man days, which weren’t half bad but I liked Running man the way it was.
So….now….what would have happened if Ji Hyo got fired or if she never joined Running man on the first place? I started to wonder and the only thing I can assure you is that Song Ji Hyo was someone very much needed in the show. Why?
Whenever I watched korean shows and a female host or a female guest was present, there, male guests would always comment on how beautiful that person is, how they wanted to protect her and sadly, we didn’t really have a strong female , except for Yoon Eun Hye, and most people know her for her dramas (some of them are so good) or for the love line with Kim Jong Kook.
But suddenly, this woman, Ji Hyo, actress Song Ji hyo appears in the scene of Running Man and all of them comment on her beauty but while playing games, they realize she’s strong and witty. You know, when Ji hyo joined she also had that beautiful actress who’s somehow good at games image attached to her but as the program kept on progressing we saw different sides of her. Lucky Ji hyo, becasue let’s face it, I’m surpised she hasn’t win the lotto but she has so much gold she probably doesn’t need it xD. We also discovered Fearless Ji hyo, who bungee jumped and said it was funny, who fell asleep on the top of a giant jenga tower; Badass Ji Hyo and Bully Ji hyo, I love these sooooo much, whenever she picked fights with kwang soo or the cast, damn, I laughed. I was rolling on the floor. And lastly, Ace Ji Hyo, which honestly doesn’t need words.
I just wanted to say she was very much needed for the show, Ji Hyo has been shown as an amazing spy a couples of times too. Who would tell off Haha and Ji suk Jin. Who would pick up fight with kwang soo and make it look like they are brother and sister. She’s just this amazing person I really like. I just hope Running man would give her some more screen time and I know that’s difficult considering the guests, Somin and Se chan but she was so wonderful in Knowing Bros that I needed to write this.
