I think it’s cute that people from back home still check in on this blog. It just tickles me to know they still care.
Since you were wondering, we’re both working jobs we love and we’re able to pay our bills, put some in savings, and buy more or less whatever we want without living paycheck to paycheck anymore. We’re happily living in our little apartment home with our kitten and we’re better than ever together. Things got difficult for a while there because I lost my job post holiday season, but luckily Babe makes enough money that nothing bad ultimately happened and I was able to wait til I found the perfect job to replace it. It’s been over six months since I quit vaping, a little over a year since I quit smoking, and I stopped any other drugs and most drinking when we moved here. Funny how you don’t feel like you need that stuff when you work hard and have a good support system. It’s a lot easier to make it through the day sober when you aren’t stressed the fuck out about money all the time. All the hard work and all the bad shit we went through to get here was worth it, though, because now we’re here and none of it matters.
