The real you. 

The one you don’t show anyone else.

You come out when you feel safe

If I could just reach you 

pull you out of the darkness

Bring you into the light 

show you the possibilities

If I could just keep you there

laughing, feeling safe, loved and beautiful 

If I could give that to you always

you wouldn’t keep disappearing

slipping away from me

as you hide from the world

But I know you are in there

When is it too late…

~ to repair the damage that’s been done

When do you know…

~ it’s time to start all over

When do we admit…

~ that the path is no longer safe

When did the destination…

~ become so unworthy of the journey

When…

~ do you just give up

When  everything around you is slowly being consumed in a fiery haze…

Stand tall, be beautiful and dare to resist the destruction.

No you can’t have it!... it’s MY ball...

I love my ball...

it’s my happy place...

We all need a happy place... find it and go there.

In other words…

“Expectation is the root of all heartache.” “Shit happens.” “Be thankful for what you have instead of whining about what you don’t have.”

You would think I would have these down pat by now.
