This totally works as a disidentification of society's construction of gender roles. This father is allowing his child to feel comfortable wearing clothes that are traditionally geared towards females. Could we say that this is a queering of gender roles? Is the father parodying what is acceptable male dress....or, as the interesting comments show, is he giving the child too much freedom of expression at such a young age? The comments section is my favorite in any article.
