Can I just say how cool it was that both of these superheroines’ personalities and powers were explored in this episode? And how well it was done?

Starfire was not shamed for being emotional. Her powers come from her emotions.

Raven was not shamed for suppressing her emotions. Her power requires amazing control.

They both. Work. They are both different kinds of strength, and they are both heroic and powerful and good. And they each learned from the other, and helped each other out by seeing from each others’ perspective, and finding the value in their differing approaches! Wow!

Fuck yes, this is how you write super-ladies, okay. There’s more than one way to be a “strong female character.” There’s all different kinds of strength. Why don’t more people GET this?

wow it’s been a minute since i’ve checked in

things are finally moving in the right direction. i’m honing in on my craft practicing more with resin and digital art, i’m getting back into the working world, i have plans to return to school after earning clinical hours at my job, i’m working on finding subsidized housing, i have an amazing partner and an incredible support network, and my health is improving little by little with new treatments. i feel… strangely, a bit hopeful?

i’m shedding old behaviors and holding myself accountable, while still advocating for myself and enforcing boundaries. i am working through my trauma and trying to be more open about talking through my thoughts instead of shutting down. i hope to find trauma-focused and ED-focused treatment, and that somehow i am able to find a balance with my various therapies and school/work

i recognize that i have hurt people and people have hurt me. i understand that the past is over, the present is in my control, and the future will be okay. one day at a time

i’m not sure if i’ll get back into using tumblr since it’s kinda dead but i’m trying to be more active on other media platforms. if you want those feel free to shoot me a message!

I know this is very important for people with disabilities and such but all I’m thinking is “Oh this is where super heroes get their shirts from.”

my mom’s arthritis makes buttons so hard for her omg 

Oh man that would be so nice for me, too, honestly. Buttons against my skin make me crazy with my autism. But fake buttons I might be able to do!

This is why we need diversity in design, these answer SO MANY problems that some people face every single day.

And now that we have them, who else would just enjoy these things? Who would use them to solve a problem they have with some activities? Or in some outfits?
