SIGNALIS BOOST!
This is what I’ve been working on non-stop for two weeks (that’s just the painting time, sketching before that was slow). My entry for the Bologna contest. These acrylic paintings are all on A2 paper except the museum one, which is 70cm wide. Big thanks to Alex for helping me with various sketches and encouragement! The deadline was on Monday, my hand is still recovering and I’m catching up on sleep. Today I saw what many others in my class made, all very different and beautiful. I’m curious what will make it into the catalogue/exhibition.
What I’m working on right now. First image is the digital sketch (big thanks to Alex for making the octopus so cute!). The other picture shows the drawing I’m making on A2 paper where I fix things before painting this with acrylics (btw, never print any files at Staples Germany, they will rip you off). I need to make at least five paintings like this in total within the next 14 days, that’s about 2 days per picture. So I’m staying home instead of going to the drawing party at school this weekend because I’m stupid and stressed. :-/
A late birthday present for cyborgnecromancer! One of the main characters of his comic Geomagnetic, plus a blue nautilus with socks.
I just noticed that I never posted the earwig! Also, updated version of the swallowtail butterfly.
I wonder if I’m the slowest illustration student at my school. Anyway, some new insects for my insect builder “game”!
Finished ladybug and hercules beetle for my interactive illustration in which you will be able to build your own insects by swapping bodyparts.
Ben has drawn a birthday picture for me! :D I love the colors, framing and as always the huge amount of detail. Thank you so much, Ben!
He even included everyone’s favourite item in our game: the ceiling lamps.
A collection of all houses so far!
The penguin house.
My first real location in the house jar series. It's actually a shed next to the Port Lockroy post office on Goudier Island, Antarctica, where gentoo penguins decided to form a colony.
It's one of the locations of Zooniverse's Penguin Watch where you can mark penguins for science!
