So my best friend surprised me with a Cameo for my birthday. She got Tim Downie, Gale's actor, to send me the most passive-aggressive happy birthday I've ever received in my entire life. 🤣

#little writing things#i love this and I know a meme isn't a solicitation for advice either#but lately I've been trying out this thing#where I know how I want a story to END#so I start it at the opposite of the ending#this might sound stupid but hear me out#story is about home and belonging -> protag ends by finding home and belonging at last#-> start story with protag on the outside of home and belonging looking in#maybe stealing bread from a cozy inn or something#I don't know#this is all off the cuff but this has helped me get an image of where a character needs to begin for maximum change#i do a lot of reverse outlining these days and it really helps!
