i understand people saying choices is based on episode because that’s currently the most popular game of the genre, but i thought y’all should know that the first game of this type (like…the exact same format with a choose-your-own-adventure type style with episodes) was surviving high school, which was released back in 2005 and created by, guess who? our good friends at pixelberry studios!! sure, they were part of ea games at the time, but it was the same ppl, so……. sure, this is now the newest game of this type, but they’re barely copying anyone when they came up with it in the first place:

so ye, there’s nothing wrong with companies creating games in a popular format (which is what episode has done), but here’s why pb haven’t actually copied the format
