It had been the third time that week Nate had decided to skip classes. Sure, it would be an understatement to assume his mother was going to be pissed once she found out, but the boy couldn’t be too bothered. Her speeches had been something he had grown used to ever since he reached the young age of fifteen, and it was save to say he had heard it all from her. So as Nate was walking down the empty hallways, wondering what to do next, he abruptly came to stop in front of the dancing room. His interest piqued almost right away as he noticed a familiar blonde dancing and he couldn’t help but open the door. “Havana Neilson — fancy seeing you here,” he spoke, a smug smile toying on his lips. “Mind if I join you?”

WHENEVER SHE HAD a free hour, havana preferred spending it in the dance studio. none of her routines ever seemed perfect or finished -- so she gladly took any opportunity to fine-tune them. she was in the middle of her round of pirouettes when she heard a familiar deep voice speaking up over the music. immediately she stopped, bringing her hand up to her head to run her fingers to her blonde locks which were tugged backwards into a now loose ponytail. when her eyes met his emerald ones, she smiled automatically. “nate.” she said in a bit of surprise. “don’t you have class ?” it was a bit of a wasted question, knowing the boy wasn’t a stranger to skipping classes. “of course not. i could use a partner to practice.” the blonde said, smiling as she went over to her back to pull out a bottle of water.
