"I agree. And on top of that, it looks like I’m finally getting used to weather like this."
"That's good to hear, Miss. It's always hard to get adjusted right away when you're not used to it at first."

"That's good to hear, Miss. It's always hard to get adjusted right away when you're not used to it at first."
{ ♫ } — ; She continued to watch him with observant eyes, head tilted to the side. It helped pass the time, trying to read people and figure them out but this one was quite the mystery. Perhaps it was the patch over his eye and she had the undying urge to ask about it regardless how rude it was. Relax Amelia. Remember last time, the guy’s wooden peg leg…
"Do you work all by yourself at this time?"
She gave a nod, smiling softly. “Sometimes I do; I guess it seems pretty busy, hm? But they’re pretty lazy. They order a beer and then don’t bother me for the rest of night.” Verdant eyes remained over the black patch until she couldn’t resist anymore. The guilt ate away and she could lose her job but… she wanted to know. “What happened to your eye? I mean—if you don’t mind me asking, which you most likely probably do.”
He listened to her words and nodded softly at her question, but then he noticed that she was looking at him with curiosity in her eyes. That was then he had heard her ask him about his eye. Of course he wouldn't blame her for being genuinely curious.
"Some things happened, long story short my eye had gotten shot at and I ended up close to being blind. Just in this eye though. I can see perfectly fine in the other."
That was the best he could explain it, though he didn't want to say anymore because all that would do was bring back the memories he had desperately tried to forget.
"It's not too bad today."
{ ♫ } — ; She listened and watched, eyes remaining on a pale face. He seemed different from the type that usually entered and the more she looked at him, the more familiar he seemed but she knew she had never served him; he was certainly not a regular.
”The strongest?” she mused slightly, “a man after my own tastes. Right away.” She turned, reaching to grab a dark bottle, grabbing a glass form below the counter and placing i down in front of him. She filled it half way and gave it a gentle push. He seemed to have a melancholy that clung to him. “First one is on the house.”
"Thank you." He replied taking the drinking and taking a big gulp. He made sure not to drink it all at once, because he wanted to feel the burn in the back of his throat. It didn't really faze him though, because he's drank like this before. A lot more times than he can count.
"It's a busy night tonight." He noticed referring to all the people inside the bar. "Do you work all by yourself at this time?"

{ ♫ } — ; It was a quiet night in the bar; there weren’t too many patrons or drunks. A bell tinkled alerting of a new customer. Her back was turned as she stood on her tippy-toes, fixing bottles on display before turning, pushing her hair over her shoulder.
Green eyes gazed up gently, soft music filling the dimly litted tavern. The raven-haired man looked familiar to her but faces blended together when you worked here. “Hello,” she greeted, clothing drying the tall glass in her hands. “What can I get you tonight, handsome?” she knew from experience that you often got bigger tips when you complimented a man.
Roy had no idea where he was going, he had finally decided to go to the nearest city that he could find that wasn't too far out of the middle of nowhere. He had finally made it to a city, though he couldn't quite remember where he was, since he hadn't seen a city for so long.
He looked up and noticed a bar that was still open. Maybe he could get a small drink. It wouldn't hurt, right? Walking inside it was busy it seemed, but he paid no attention to the background noise that surrounded him.
Once he made it over towards the bar, he took a seat and noticed a beautiful greeting him and asking him what he wanted tonight. He gave her a soft smile before deciding on what he'd get.
"I'll take the strongest you have, Miss." He replied.
"Yeah, guess so. Too much thinking can make you crazy, though."
"I suppose I already am crazy. We all have a crazy side though, right?"
Shrugging lightly he seated himself across from the other. “Fine, I suppose. I ache like an old man these days.” he said. He leaned back with a chuckle as he hung his arm over the top of the chair. “You seem tired, General.”
"Is it really that obvious?" He half joked as closed the only eye that was visible and thought for a moment. It was true, he was tired. He had been tired for days and days because he had awaited the young blondes return, and here he was acting as if he never left. How could he act so casual about it. "When did you come back?" The question slipped out, but he was curious to know.

"The future. The past. Too much stuff, really."
"I see. I've been thinking about a lot lately myself. I've had plenty of time to do so."
"A little birdie suggested I should come and I, uh.."
Ed rubbed the back of his neck, feeling sheepish. “I wanted to see how you were doing.”
"Is that so?" He asked running a hand through his onyx hair.
"I've been alright for the most part. What about you? How have you been, Ed?"
"Just thinking."
"About what exactly?"
"Yeah, my ports are acting up from it."
"What are you doing out here, anyway?"
"…."
"Something troubling you, Ed?"
"It's really cold out tonight."
